If you notice that a particular Eyes CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. Jeff Scott Soto does NOT sing on this album! Don't be fooled by false advertisements! This album bites, and proves that JSS was the only talent in this band.

Can someone who owns this CD please tell me who's credited with writing 'Son of a Loaded Gun' on this disc? This is the same song as found on 1999's 'Slaves of the New World' by Steelhouse Lane, and there is also a version by the band Warpipes. Is there anything in the liner notes about how Eyes came to record this song?Any info is greatly appreciated....

From: M. Allen Date: August 25, 2003 at 13:48
Hey, Whiplash1972, according to the liner notes, 'Son of a Loaded Gun' was written by Mike Slammer and Bill Trudel, which explains why it appeared on the Steelhouse Lane debut. They don't state why they recorded the song, but all I know is, it's a damn good song and I prefer EYES' version over the other ones out there...

Many thanks M.Allen! I recently downloaded the Eyes version of the song offa the Members Only section here at HH. Of course, I immediately recognized the song title, and after one listen realized it was the same song as on the Steelhouse Lane release (slightly different lyrics). Slammer and Trudel are credited on Steelhouse's release as well. I just wonder how Eyes came to record this song, since it appears neither Slammer or Trudel were in Eyes? Hmmmmm......

Me gusta, y eso q no esta el Soto!! pero ta llenito d muy buenos temas pegadizos... recomendado.

Slammer has penned many tunes with different bands. Some he has covered himself, others he has not. Hardline did the song Dr Love that was originally written by slammer and then he re-recorded it on his Steelhouse Lane - Metallic Blue album. He's alot like Dan Huff and works with many artists

Unfortunatelly I haven't heard this album yet. And I'd like to ask: Is the Eyes of love on this album that Eyes of love what is on the Prism?

I actually really like this one. Obviously demos and yes, no JSS but the songs are still great. 'Rockin' the cradle' is one of my fave Eyes tunes, and elsewhere it is a solid collection of melodic hard rock demos.

From: jessica96fish Date: September 24, 2004 at 7:45
yes geoff.this is a solid cd.all be it demos.well worth getting.

From: YNGWIEVIKING Date: September 7, 2007 at 3:06
great CD 90/100 IF YOU LIKE THE OTHERS ALBUMS GO FOR IT ! IMO if you listening the backing vocals , you can hear JSS VERY VERY LOUD in the MIX ! So there is no JSS on the verse BUT , when CHORUS time is here ! there is JSS a lot ! ANyway MARK WEITZ is good very good !

Un disco de HardRock ordinario asi de simple algo corriente con nada fuera de lo comun, con cortes regulares con uno que me parece convencerme "Rockin' The Cradle" para mi lo rescatable del disco...

Rocking the cradle rocks my cradle!

This is actually my favorite Eyes album of the three they did. There is only one filler track on the whole album. The production is just fine imo and the songs on here are infectious. Mark's voice on here is excellent and rivals that of JSS. This is one rarity that is actually worth its price tag. Excellent melodic hr here.

From: rallen399 Date: April 5, 2010 at 5:12
I agree with Chris I think this is the best of the three. The other two are great as well but this is just a bit better.Great band. You almost don't notice JSS is not the lead singer,Mark is really good.A must have.

Very good album. Not sure if it's their best, for me it's more or less a tie between this and the first album. But it's better than Windows of the Soul. The cover, though, is probably a contender for worst cover ever on a CD. I remember I felt a little embarrased when I bought this in the 90's...
