Brilliant melodic hardrock band coming from Louisville, Kentucky of all places. 15 tracks of solid indie candy! They play some killer all out rock and sound like they are having alot of fun doing it. This CD has a lot which will appeal to Dokken-Keel fans as well as those more melodic like Marchello or Melidian.

I'm sorry but I disagree . . . This band is not very good.

Heard these guys first back in 90-91, great tunes! Kinda REO'ish, would love to find their CD!!

From: Lynny Date: November 8, 2003 at 20:25
Spanky Lee was the best band that ever came out of Louisville. The genius harmonies of Mark, Chip and Max were, and still are, hard to beat. They also have a live disc with new songs (new as of the 90's) that is killer! The songwriting improved on the second live disc with a more up-to-date jive. Their concerts were always packed and they put on a great show everytime. I have both albums and still listen to it....they rocked and I hated to see them part ways. Long live Spanky Lee!!

I've seen Spanky Lee a numerous amount of times back in the day and they were the shit!! The places they played were always packed full and they rocked the house. I have this CD and my favorite is 'Why Ronnie Why'.

Mark Maxwell needs to be singing somewhere. What a shame not to share that beautiful voice. Prayer chain anyone??

From: the king Date: February 10, 2004 at 21:14
The latest rumors are one member of the band is remixing old tracks for a new 'best of' release. Any suggestions on favorites, I'll vote for 'ATTACK'

If you think these guys are awsome{and you should} try to find the Live at Cliftons tapes. This is all accustic. It really shows their vocals and extreme playing ability. Fan from Wisconsin. Wish you were still creating music together.

From: Brian Date: July 13, 2004 at 17:05
Great Band. I used to watch them every Thursday at Clifton's Pizza on Frankfort Ave. Chip was my Bass Teacher and I believe one of the best players ever. It is a shame they broke up

after getting this cd and listening to it i only have to say it just sucks ive never heard a cd with so many wimpy tunes, cant wait to get rid of this one.

From: Geoff Date: March 20, 2006 at 18:40
The first 3 tracks don't really work well, but 'So lonely' is a great commercial rocker. 'The truth' is a very nice ballad, 'She's gone' is a cool commercial rocker and there are other good tracks amongst the rest. Also a few not-so-good ones. The band sounds good and put together a nice package, but never really take it to the next level. Good, safe commercial hard rock. Worth checking out in CDR format, because it's pretty good.

From: speed demon Date: March 27, 2006 at 16:13
Longhairjoe is right on this one folks! Wimpy cd! overrated, overhyped and hard to listen to! I bought the hype and boy was I shocked! Like my music with more balls! No Keel here folks! Avoid!

From: BIG-TIME Date: May 7, 2008 at 11:17
This is not safe commercial hard rock, they are a garage band! you know like 14-15 year olds playing in their dads garage and decide to make an album. AVOID this like the plague it's boring, it's indie so the production is a bit poor, there are far to many ballads and the rockin tunes are just...well crap (except Kids are the Survivors, it's ok nothing more) BIG prob for me is that they seem to be going in one direction (music that is) then move in 3-4 other directions nearly at the same time, and that just does not work. I can't believe how much I paid for this, and have been looking for it for years if you like good hard rock CD's DON'T GET THIS, PLEASE, don't believe the hype trust me...KEEP ROCKIN ALL!!!

From: revengeofthefallen Date: August 16, 2009 at 18:18
Another cool indie band from the USA with touches of old Dokken . To bad they were from Kentucky though!!
