If you see any errors or omissions in the CD information shown above, either in the musician credits or song listings (cover song credits, live tracks, etc.), please post them in the corrections section of the Heavy Harmonies forum/message board.

The music discographies on this site are works in progress. If you notice that a particular Y and T CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. EPs and CD-singles from Y and T are also welcome to be added, as long as they are at least 4 songs in length.

Another case, as with the latest Bon Jovi Box set extravaganza, of unreleased stuff being worth the bother. As with Volume 1, this contains some excellent material, including tracks they worked on with Ronnie Montrose. Sound quality is also very good for a bunch of mainly demos (better than some bands actual proper releases that have been released over the last few years). Lets hope there is plenty more in the vaults for future releases, or even better and brand new studio album proper.

Hey Jez, at what point in Y&T's career does this album draw from? From the early days on to recently? Thanks for any help!

The tracks are from 1974 through to 1989. Most are from the 86-88 period - outtakes from the 'Down For The Count', 'Contagious' & 'Ten' releases, along with the aformentioned Ronnie Montrose stuff.

Thanks for the info Jez. I agree, Meniketti and the boys need to get together and record a new album. The world needs more Y&T tunes. Stellar sound, songwriting and attitude all spells Y and T! Love this band. All they do is put out quality music.

Thanks Jez! And Chad, I couldn't agree more with you. Y&T are one of my all-time favorite hard rock bands and they were so much better than their labels would allow. Saw them in concert about 2 yrs ago and they blew the roof off the club. When so many bands were trying to fit in and get a foot in the door, Y&T were already ahead of them, paving the way. But they just always seemed to be cast in the shadows of younger hard rock bands. Long Live Y&T!

Perhaps the best pure hardrock act, together with the mighty Legs Diamond, ever ! Even a demo-album with leftovers from these guys is better than what 990f the other hardrock acts release ! STUNNING BAND ! And yes : they need to release a NEW CD ! Me and a lot of other fans can't wait ! Dave, c'mon, man !

A great collection. I liked this one better than the first Unearthed CD. The Montrose stuff is killer. I always thought that A&M totally wasted Y&T. They were far and away much better than the majority of the 80s hair bands. 'Black Tiger' and 'Mean Streak' are two of my all-time favorite albums. I saw Y&T in the middle slot between Twisted Sister and Dokken in 1984. They only had 40 mins to play, and I wish they had given us more Y&T.

Another amazing collection of songs. As with the first collection, these all appear to have been recorded in IMO the bands best era, when they were a more melodic hard rock band. As noted above, the sound is awesome, as are the songs. Especially towards the end this album starts clocking up the killer tracks. Really, an excellent album again from these guys. Love these 2 unearthed collections...

one of the biggest bands in hard rock music releases a collection of songs that didnt make it through the official albums.the songs are so good ,impressive i mean.what can i say about those guys, they are so capable of real hard rock music.most of the songs are from the "ten" ,"contagious" era ,so you can understand the sound of this release.overall it is an excellent collection, essential for hard rock maniacs

hum ,this volume 2 is not as the level of the volume 1.the sound is very good.most of the songs are from 1988,they were preview for contagious.the productor of these songs is ronnie montrose.he have making an excellent job.i don t understand why they don t keep ronnie montrose for the final production of contagious.cause on contagious the sound is decent but weak.on these eighteen songs we have three super songs, tracks 2.8 and 12.the rest is a bunch of average songs ans an other bunch of bad songs.no bonus tracks on the very very rare japan import.this compilation is for die hard fans of y & t.
