One of the best albums of the music history!!

From: Aaron Date: April 24, 2001 at 21:23
'Don't Stop' is one of the best hard rockin' tunes of all time. Superb album from great band. Another overlooked classic.

From: Wayne Date: April 26, 2001 at 14:04
Great CD! Y&T were one of the best bands of the '80's and deserve more credit than they ever got.

From: Unkle Date: April 27, 2001 at 12:52
kick ass stuff and a classic. the best they ever done.

From: Greg Hayes Date: April 29, 2001 at 12:52
Meniketti was a great player-still is for that matter. This was a great album from the band. If you haven't heard it you are really missing a good one. Get it!

This CD is in my top 5 favs. of all time. Classic melodic hard rock in every aspect. I saw them with Crue in '85 and they tought the Motley bunch a thing or two about Rockin'!!

From: federico Date: January 7, 2002 at 14:14
Great music, great guitars.'Breakout tonight' has often gave me streght when I was down.In some songs there are also intelligent politicals lyrics, like Y&T never done before.

From: Clayton Date: February 3, 2002 at 15:30
This CD defined what the `80's music was - Hard & Heavy and the Power Ballad!! This is great CD !!!!!

From: curt Date: June 17, 2002 at 18:58
Rock N Roll is Gonna Save The World is my favorite song on this cd. If ya like Y&T put this cd in your collection.

From: CARLOS CIGES Date: June 22, 2002 at 15:22
sin duda uno de lo mejores de los 80.fantastico.

From: koogles Date: June 26, 2002 at 18:37
If you're looking for a place to start in the Y&T catalog, check out 'Down For the Count', then 'Contagious', then this one. This is a solid piece of rocking, don't get me wrong: 'Don't Stop Running' is an absolutely incredible song! 8 out of 10 for sure. 9 for Contagious. 10 for Down For the Count. That's how they stack up, IMO.

From: Tony Date: August 12, 2002 at 14:57
God I'm old I remember buying this record when it came out. Have the cd now and I still dig this album. At the time Y & T were the most popular of the 'second tier' bands. Could never quite get over that hump. Great melodic metal but these guys seemed more talented than this and seemed to be 'working' to dumb themselves down to the Crue, Ratt level. 'Don't Stop Runnin' is a classic slice of 80's metal and just perfect. Thought on their album '10' they did what they always should have done.

From: Sean Date: January 6, 2003 at 16:05
I'll keep on believin(Do you Know) is the best song in all of rock history. True hard melodic rock album. In my opinion the best rock album in the whole world.

My first Y&T album, and also one of the first hard rock cassettes I ever owned, along with 'Metal Health' and 'Pyromania'. This is top-notch, excellent rock.Rock and Roll's Gonna Save The World,Lipstick And Leather, and Don't Stop Runnin' are my personal faves.

From: RR-Finland Date: September 15, 2003 at 2:12
Another great release from Y&T. Maybe not solid as Mean Streak was, but close. Dave Meniketti has great and personal voice and guitars are so catchy. My favourites on this album are: Masters And Slaves, I´ll Keep On Believin´ and Breakout Tonight.

From: cruise Date: September 15, 2003 at 16:35
This is a great album that was a little lighter than the previous three. Some classic songs on yet another tremendous album from an awesome band. 8.5/10

From: Harvey Date: November 26, 2003 at 20:05
Good album. But why has Earthshaker been excluded from this website?

From: lance1 Date: December 14, 2003 at 1:57
y/t rocks and this cd slams.dont stop running and lipstick and leather rock.dave meineketti is an awesome guitar player.saw them open for ratt and motley crue in 85.great live band and the giant robot was awesome to see live.highly underrated and could hold there own with the best of them.great group.

From: Metal Pete Date: December 31, 2003 at 16:00
Finally got this one this year off Ebay and it has not left rotation in the living room stereo. Just a made a compilation with 'Rock n Roll's Gonna...' and 'all American Boy' from Down for the Count. What a great band. I probably need to go ahead and get some of the others on cd. Feel lucky to have 'In Rock..' and 'Down for the Count', though Cheers!

From: holyroller Date: February 15, 2004 at 21:29
This album was their most successful, according to Dave Meniketti he reckons it sold about 450,000 copies in the U.S. It's easy to see why, it's a little bit less heavy and more accessible than previous work but still rocks. Y&T had a great sense of dynamics in their work, and also a lot of versatility. 'This Time' should have been a hit song in my opinion.

From: Impaler Date: February 22, 2004 at 0:23
This is my favorite from Y&T: more melodic then the earlier stuff but less pop metal than Down For The Count and Contagious. This is what you would get if you crossed Old Van Halen, Old Whitesnake and a little Rainbow. 'Lipstick And Leather'/'Rock And Roll's Gonna Save The World'/'Don't Stop Runnin'' are some all time classic tracks. Give it a 9/10

From: Edward Date: May 26, 2004 at 11:15
Hey! Impaler, are you the one from Hot Metal Radio? Anyway, this album simply rocks. ROCK N ROLL IS GONNA SAVE THE WORLD....It's true, it's damn true. And LIPSTICK AND LEATHER sounds like a cool party song! I don't know why they didn't have the same succes as other cool bands of the 80s. They were so talented, they made real good music.

From: Big Papa K Date: June 30, 2004 at 23:54
The streak of classic albums end with this one. While this is still a quality release, it try to be a little too commercial at times and the songwriting slips some. Still, they know how to write quality hard rock such as 'Lipstick and Leather', 'Don't Stop Runnin'', and 'Masters and Slaves'. 7/10

From: Uusiolli Date: August 5, 2004 at 17:29
A bit of a change here compared to their albums before. Some nice songs like (Your Love Is)Drivin' Me Crazy and Lipstick and Leather.

From: Geoff Date: August 31, 2004 at 9:34
I must say, of all my CDs this is the one I've had most requests for CDRs, or originals when I've had it. I don't get it, personally. I love 'I'll keep on believin' and 'Don't stop runnin' - great melodic hard rock songs, and the ballad 'This time' is just beautiful, but the rest... How many fillers can you fit on a CD?! I like Y & T and the songs are okay, but I only ever play the three noted.

From: hardest Date: October 16, 2004 at 8:27
As it was said before by Harder , bands and albums like these one will save the world. PEAZO DISCO.

From: RockMan Date: November 14, 2004 at 17:15
Yep, one of the ALL TIME best discs. Play it loud, play it often.

The fourth album in a row of top quality material. Slightly more commercial than on the 3 previous albums, but non the worse for it.

From: Trick Taylor Date: November 8, 2005 at 16:19
Interesting piece of work this one. It stands as a testament to pre-whammy bar riff rock American style. It also may be the last grasp before the watered Down for the Count. This has always been a favorite despite being weak in spots. Songs like 'Life Life Life', 'Don't Stop Running', and the title track create an atmosphere free from bells and whistles. Early 80's at it's best. I could have done without 'Lipstick and Leather' or You're Love is Driving Me Crazy'.

From: Figge Date: March 25, 2006 at 19:10
A masterpiece! One of my all-time favourite bands. This band should've been, and deserved to be more, successful than they were. How many bands have come up with four albums in a row with such a sheer class and quality like Earthshaker/Black Tiger/Mean Streak/In Rock We Trust? I can't really say which of those 4 I like the most. This one was slightly more commercial and lighter. Great songs like R&R's Gonna Save The World, Don't Stop Runnin', Masters & Slaves, Keep On Believing are and were rare

From: AORlover Date: July 3, 2006 at 13:25
'This Time' is a SUPER ballad!!!

From: sanxdowntherainbow Date: January 8, 2007 at 17:03
In rock we trust is simply the best album by Y&T along with Black Tiger & Mean Streak. Along with DOKKEN, my favorite hard rock band! I cant mention my favorite track, because ALL of 'em are my favorite! Ultra highly recommended!

From: Scandinavia Date: October 20, 2007 at 8:05
One of the truly classic albums from 1984! From the first riff till the last fade out Y & T showcase sheer class! Almost unparalleled in 84!

From: RockMan10 Date: August 8, 2008 at 21:51
IMHO, the best of Y&T and in my top 10 all time favorites. 99/100

From: RockStar Date: May 9, 2009 at 6:17
The Best Hard Rock album of Y&T. 1984 it was a great year for them, great hymns like "Rock and Roll's Gonna Save The World", "Masters And Slaves", Don't Stop Runnin'(ˇˇWOW)!! and that wonder of ballad "This Time". 90/100

From: rick kerch vzla Date: November 6, 2009 at 13:22
I agree with RockStar!!!..an album that put them in the highlights at that stage of their career...i would add the song "Life, Life, Life" also as a hymn but overall "Rock'n'Roll's Gonna Save The World"(woowww thta's a classic!).95/100

From: hair metal again Date: January 17, 2011 at 1:48
