From: Kim Date: July 14, 2001 at 16:04
This is an awesome cd, which should be owned by any hard rock fan. With almost no weak sport, and a sound which is absolutely superb. Just got this one as a japanese import, it rocks.

Great cd. Dont wanna lose for sure should have been a top 40.

From: cruise Date: September 15, 2003 at 16:43
A great album that was almost as good as its predecessor, 'Earthshaker'. Superb heavy rock songs with strong vocals and hooks. 8.5/10

From: Harvey Date: January 8, 2004 at 14:21
Excellent stuff. No idea why its only available on Jap Import.

From: dannyrock Date: February 1, 2004 at 15:58
probably one of the best bands of the early days 4ever and ever they reunited again.

From: holyroller Date: February 15, 2004 at 21:24
Black Tiger is a good album, not as good as Earthshaker or some of the albums that followed. But Y&T had such high songwriting standards that even their lesser inspired work was still better than average.

From: Impaler Date: February 22, 2004 at 0:11
This was the 1st Y&T album it bought. It is Classic! Great songs: 'Open Fire', 'Hell Or High Water', 'Black Tiger' & 'Forever'. Less commercial, more Hard Rock.

From: Big Papa K Date: June 30, 2004 at 23:50
I would have to say that this is my favorite album by the band. They can turn out the hard rock bordering on metal type songs in 'Black Tiger' and 'Open Fire' while also creating quality melodic rock in 'Forever' with ease. 9/10

From: Uusiolli Date: August 5, 2004 at 17:23
Not as good song as Rescue Me here, but nice album anyway. I suppose they tried to re-create Rescue Me eith Winds of Change, and nearly succeeded. 8/10

Sinceramente y sin dudarlo el mejor disco de esta gente...joder q pedazo de temas...buenissimo

From: cvansickle Date: December 16, 2004 at 11:31
'Don't Wanna Lose' could have been a huge hit single in the US. Where was the record company backing on this band? A&M wasted Y&T. If Polygram had had them, they would have been stars.

Brilliant album from an absolute killer band. This is my favourite album, although the other 80's albums push it close, especially the mega 'Earthshaker' album. Just love the power of 'Open Fire' and 'Forever'& the excellent ballad 'Winds Of Change'. The only track letting the side down a little is 'My Way Or The Highway' which is the filler on the album. Superb all the way.

From: ArnoldLancelot Date: February 10, 2005 at 17:25
The first time I heard it my arm-hairs get curled, after all this years they still do... CLASSIC. Balanced, powerful and great-driven hard rock at its best. This is the one to get on cd the first time you got the chance. All this not to mention... FOREVER!!!!! Probably not all you guys would agree with me but I think that Forever is the best song they EVER did and worth the cd alone. If you don't know this band(and that is something to worry about!)this is where to start, get it NOW.

From: cvansickle Date: February 11, 2005 at 7:21
I agree with Arnold. When I first heard this album in 1982, I thought that this was the band I wanted to be in. Dave's chops on 'Forever' - especially the middle section and ending section - inspire me to no end. The live version on 'Open Fire' cooks too. I just got one of the limited edition OF cds from the Meniketti online store, and I'm glad I took that plunge 'cause now they are gone!

From: Swriter Date: February 14, 2005 at 16:07
hands down, my fav early 80's hard rock album!!!!! this thing is just killer, oh yeah, get Mean Streak also!!!! When are these being re-released????

From: Geoff Date: October 31, 2005 at 23:05
'Don't wanna lose' and 'Forever' are my faves off this disc - great tracks. The rest sort of takes up where the other albums left off. Solid straight forward hard rock. If it's your thing, great, if you like bigger hooks and memorable choruses there's better options out there. These guys were great at what they did. I do love some of the riffs here but IMO the songs are not as memorable as what I like to hear.

From: PAUL Date: November 1, 2005 at 7:11
Y&T is one the best American hardrock bands, there's no doubt about this. They always offered quality hardrock and never released a bad record. This is another masterpice of the band full of killer guitar riffs, melodic solos and great vocals. Songs like the s/t (what an intro!) and 'forever' are timeless!

From: swriter Date: December 31, 2005 at 11:34
Just picked up the new remasters, MStreak and BTiger. Black Tiger would have to be mt fav Y & T although that is difficult, definately in my top picks of the 80's and Forever is just amazing!!! Bout time we can get these again!!!!! Great

From: Rafo Phoenix Date: February 27, 2008 at 16:56
Favorite Y&T album with Earthshaker.

From: rick kerch vzla Date: April 13, 2011 at 21:54
I loved this one too but i prefer other Y&T's releases,a matter of tastes i guess..."Open Fire","Don't Wanna Lose","Forever"(a mega classic of the band),"Black Tiger","My Way Or The Highway" & "Winds Of Change"(a solid beat song) are nice to hear anyway...91/100

From: hair metal again Date: September 12, 2012 at 7:07
excellent release by Y&T back in 82 and this is straight guitar driven hard rock music ,with many riffs ,big choruses and many hooks!all the songs are fine and especially "forever","barroom boogie","dont wanna lose" and "open fire".i believe that with Max Norman in production they should have gone more commercially here as they did later!essential!

From: edwithmj Date: September 18, 2015 at 18:15
This is probably my favourite Y&T album. From The Moon: great instrumental which appears again in the perfect semi-ballad Forever: simply a super song with a magnificent solo. Open Fire: a straight ahead hard rocker with a meaty solo and strong vocals; Hell or High Water is another great rocker with a slight AC/DCish feel to it while Black Tiger is the other highlight here. The rest is all very listenable to and I wouldn't say there's filler on this one at all. This is just straight up hard rock with great vocals and guitars.
