Owes far more to QRIII than it does to anything Rough Cutt did. Pretty good album in the Whitesnake blues-rock vein and Paul just sings the s#@t out of all of it. I don't know what was going on his personal life here but these are some of the most positive lyrics I've ever heard on a hard rock album. It's like a self help book put to music here.. Another thing that took me was Jimmy Crespo's playing. Outstanding!! Wasn't looking for that and it was a pleasant suprise, great guitarist. |

This is indeed a disc full of good, bluesy hard rock in the vein of Whitesnake, and post-Night Songs Cinderella. Paul Shortino's raspy vocals are perfect for this style of music; of course, I've never heard anything from Paul that I didn't like. All the songs here are good, but "Sacred Place","Up to the Mountain","I Believe","Love Keep on Shinin","Feel the Music" & "Angel" are the stand-out tracks here.Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys bluesy hard rock! |

This CD gets a good deal of airplay on XM Satellite Radio (channel 41). Their website had been mentioned there as well, so hopefully that's helping out with some sales. "Up to the Mountain", "Angel" and "Sacred Place" are really standout tracks. My only gripe is that the production is a bit lacking, but otherwise an excellent release. I hope this line-up sticks around for a while! |
