If you notice that a particular Quireboys CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. Nothing beats their debut - not bad - but nothing to get excited about. Glad to see these guys are still rocking though. Also could've put a few more songs on the disc.

All they need is Guy Baley to come back. He was the key figure along with Spike in their songwriting. This album more bluesy than their previous CDs. Black Mariah is my fav. song on this one. Rate it 6/10

Musically decent, with a few soon-to-be-classic Quireboys numbers, but the production is terrible (especially considering this band should know better!), especially on the first song. Hasn't gripped me as much as This Is Rock N Roll did, but decent, 7/10

From: FRATELLO Date: October 21, 2004 at 6:48
Weak production, Mike? What else can we expect from SPV? It's a shame that such talented bands as Quireboys have to record in this shed while major labels promote shit of every kind! The Quireboys rules!

I am a huge quireboys fan, and I hate to say I was disappointed in this cd. This is Rock n Roll was such a great cd I was really looking forward to this. There are some good songs but not what one is used to from this band. Worth owning, but Hopefully, there next effort will be better.

From: Kristian Date: February 18, 2005 at 10:44
The production doesn't bother me that much. I think the album is great. I think they still have a lot of the magic they had on their debut - something you can't say about many bands these days. This is a safe buy if you're into Quireboys.

From: jmikep Date: June 30, 2006 at 10:28
These guys are great for about every other CD. The debut was awesome, the follow-up... not so much. This is Rock'n'Roll was a step in the right direction and gave me hope, but Well Oiled was a step back in song quality and production.

Another fine example of dirty, mean and raw Rock'n'Roll that only the superb Quireboys knows how to do."The last fence","Black Mariah" and of course "Lorraine Lorraine" are good examples of plain and simple yet wonderful Quireboys style of music.Shamely they're still an underrated band and it is quite strange 'coz when they first came out they did quite a "noize" in Europe or at least in England but after their first 3 albums they literally went down the hill. Not for the masses but for real rocke
