Alright, someone needs to get up here and describe this one. Curious is an understatement.

From: tomcat Date: April 14, 2003 at 13:53
i believe this is a democd or something..this used to be a sunset strip act i believe... I have those songs somewhere but can't remember how they sound...sorry

From: kc rocker Date: April 14, 2003 at 19:09
this is what i would consider a decent cd...it is offical indie release...kinda like triple x & crystal roxx in my mind...has little taste's of glam style...best track for me is 'push and squeeze'...havent seen it much anywhere so if you find it yeah its worth a listen.... rob

From: JLPRocks Date: April 14, 2003 at 19:50
Hailing from Indiana *I believe* and Rock on the Rise Allumi, this band released this EP to fanfare from the underground fans of hard rock. This is the quintessential Indie piece..complete with great vocals...great guitar tone and sound and some nice BGV's!! The songs are excellent...and any fan of 80's styled hard rock will love this band. Sadly, the singer Jack Adams succumbed to cancer at a very early age. This piece is worth it's weight in gold. Do yourself a favor and find yourself a copy!!

From: Randy Date: April 15, 2003 at 22:40
I believe they were from the Chicago area(I could be wrong)...check out www.chicagorocker.com for some cool pics of SGT. ROXX and other hair/glam bands from that era. BTW...the 'Push & Squeeze' ep is very good...'Why'd you Lie' & the ballad 'Don't Cry' are my favs..also, they have some demos from 1987 that are IMO better than the ep...even do a cover of Bon Jovi's 'In & Out Of Love' ...........RANDY

From: TheRipper Date: April 16, 2003 at 7:35
Yep, these guys bring a lot to the table with this release. I've got their demos too, but like this better, not bad production for such an indie, but the demos are great too, heck everything these guys touched is cool. Talented Band. At times I can hear hints of Emergency or Lancia even, say a mix, with that definite late 80's/early 90's attitude/glam HR sound. This is one of those indies that makes you forget it's an indie in a sense that it's so good that you don't consider it an indie because

From: TheRipper Date: April 16, 2003 at 7:43
of how much better it is than many and most major label releases with all the backing and big production costs... Other bands I've thought of to compare these guys with would be a more ballsy version of Theatre say, or in the style of Rock Boulevard (although the voices vary, I'm talking mostly stylewise, even though both vocalists are great). This one gets a 10 from me, as I have really grown fond of these guys' High-Octane Rockin' Sound. RECOMMENDED.

From: David Date: April 16, 2003 at 8:08
Ripper, Stop Fucking Teazing Us!!, LOL! Just joking mate, keep up the red hot reviews!

From: TIM Date: April 16, 2003 at 14:38
Yeah, he's not helping me at all putting in all these bands I love. . Oh well, at least someone agreed to make me a cdr.

From: JLPRocks Date: April 21, 2003 at 5:06
After reading my review it sounded as if Jack Adams had passed away. I just wanted to let you know that he did not die from Cancer...but he is fine now and actually in a band called Monkey Cocktail. And on a side note....one track on the cd 'Why'd You Lie' was written by Jon Ster of Stiff and Lillian Axe fame.

From: Jayglam@hotmail Date: April 24, 2003 at 22:37
I remember seeing this band in Metal Edge rock on the rise in the early nineties and thought they looked pretty cool. If anyone could do me up a cdr off this I would pay them. Email me at jayglam@hotmail.com

From: Studboy Date: October 11, 2003 at 18:04
This is an excellent indie release, probably one of the best out there. They have a great sound and I'm surprised they never got signed to a major label. I have their demos also and love their cover of Bon Jovi's In And Out Of Love. I'd give it a 9 out of 10.

From: TIM Date: November 15, 2003 at 15:09
Have to admit this one has grown on me. 'Why'd You Lie' is my fav. but I enjoy it all. Kind of reminded me of Noize Toys in places- another band that took time for me to get into. I find myself pulling this out quite a bit here lately.

From: Karsten Date: December 9, 2003 at 5:22
I own this cd, and the information states they are from Valparaiso, Indiana! I'm generally not very impressed by most indie cds in this style...but this one's an absolute killer! Dynamite Lillian Axe meets early Bon Jovi as described a bit by others above! Well worth getting!

From: MButt Date: December 18, 2003 at 15:14
All I can say is, this cd is incredible!!!!

From: David Date: December 18, 2003 at 19:51
It would want to sound pretty damn good after spending over $300 on it MButt! Lol!

From: MButt Date: December 18, 2003 at 21:18
Hi David, wow you ain't kidding!! LOL I have spent some serious cash on cd's before that were not what I thought they would be, or did not live up to the hype. this one does! I quickly burned a copy and put it away in the collection. thanks for the comment! take care. Michael

From: litlwng369 Date: December 19, 2003 at 6:04
I love this album!! this was something that i spread this all over my neighborhood in 1992 when i got it from my uncle in chesterton indiana. this is the ultimate love album for me. the funniest thing is i don't have any of their music anymore because all of my old buddies have the old tape and claim they never stole mine (bitches!!!!)thats how I came across wherever I'm at now. litlwng369@hotmail.com

From: HG Date: December 27, 2003 at 13:22
In case anybody was wondering where one of these CDs turned up, I was the one who auctioned off the one that was recently on ebay. A friend of mine found it in a CD store in Lafayette, IN a few years ago. Since that is just a short trip on I65 from Valparaiso, it is safe to say that this thing was only released locally. Anyway, we both liked it, too, but decided to see what it could do on the bay, after making copies for ourselves. We auctioned off that one in addition to a Theatre, a Schoolboy

From: jack adams Date: January 21, 2004 at 4:00
this is the former lead singer from sgt. roxx, and i really appreciate all the positive feedback about this cd. Obviously i am not dead, but i am a cancer survivor of 8 years. check out my new band at monkeycocktail.com. thank you and god bless.

From: TIM Date: January 21, 2004 at 4:21
Hey Jack, glad to hear from you. I'd sure like a copy of this if available. Thanks. rio1harris@aol.com

From: litlwng369 Date: January 23, 2004 at 6:58
hey jack i'm soo glad to hear that your doing well. that is so crazy you live in valpo my grandparents just moved there from chesterton. I have been trying to explain to my husband your music and how it had such an effect on us girls from buffalo as teenagers. ya know cause we used to 'lay alone at night just starin at the ceilin'' that was the best thing to say yeah who turned you on to that music? and we still talk about it but one dumb broad wont give my tape back, I still hate her for that

From: anamal Date: March 15, 2004 at 5:32
after searching hi and lo for numerous years .i have finally found an original..and yes i am bragging..this baby will go great along side Pleezer and Theatre.......and of course Hard Knox

From: anamal Date: March 25, 2004 at 19:21
the more i listen to this ..the better it gets..this is what collecting indie metal is all about ..songs like why'd you lie and million dollar girls are great..this has to be 1 of the best indie releases (IMHO) ...to bad Jack even doesnt have an original (LOL)...

From: TIM Date: March 30, 2004 at 2:46
I like the whole thing, but 'Why'd You Lie' is fantastic.

From: MJ (Marla) Date: June 12, 2004 at 16:59
'Don't Cry' does it for me!! Amazing guitar work, imo!!! And the vocals.....Just beautiful....

From: Christine Date: June 18, 2004 at 2:02
OK, now I know what the big deal is all about with this one! Excellent stuff, start to finish...

From: Christine Date: June 18, 2004 at 2:03
OK, I just realized there IS something I don't like about it - it's too damn short!

From: Geoff Date: September 5, 2004 at 20:58
Very good indie EP. This one isn't one of the ones that blew me away, but I can easily come back for more of this one. Good solid glam/sleaze hard rock.

From: Bobby Dee Date: December 17, 2004 at 3:34
Yeah, it's been said before-they are midwest boys, I seen 'em plenty of times here in Chicago (in fact-I thought they were from here) but Valpo isn't too far so that would explain it. They rocked back in the day, when me and my buddies would go to the Thirsty Whale every Friday and Saturday night to see what cool band was jamming. Believe it or not, the Chicago had a great glam/hard rock scene back then. We had Sgt. Roxx, Holland, Enuff Z'Nuff, Diamond Rexx, Joker, and many others. Now the close

From: chocularok Date: February 3, 2005 at 21:15
Have to throw my hat into the ring on this one...just won a copy off ebay a while back & this cd is one of those rare indies that actually lives up to all the hype. Stellar production & kick ass songs...the cd leaves you wanting more of the same. Too bad there's only 6 songs...WAY too short.

From: SeducedByMetal Date: February 20, 2005 at 22:18
I Love This Disc With A passion..1 off my Fav Discs For Sure...Reminds Me Alot Like A Early Lillian Axe...Shame It's Only A 6 Track EP..Would Love To Have Seen More Tracks On This Disc...Highly Recomneded Cd...

From: Helix Date: July 5, 2006 at 18:47
with all the comments that where made about this cd I'm just another person that would have to agree with them all. If you don't have this cd in your collection you should try to get it. has the early glam and sleaze sound of the late 80's. shame they did not make it big.

From: hardrockiowa Date: November 11, 2006 at 16:07
Great 80's hard rock/sleaze. Tough to find, but worth the money. It would have been nice to have some more material from them. 9/10

From: the game Date: February 15, 2007 at 19:50
Excellent Sleaze/Hard Rock. If you can track this one down it is well worth having in your collection. This cd beats the hell out of a lot of the other over rated indie cd's out there. Turn it up LOUD! Rated 8/10.

From: marineguy46383 Date: March 8, 2008 at 3:35
i use to live across the street from jack adams in indiana and he and my dad became good friends till he moved and he actually gave him the real cd as well as cd's from when they were monkey cocktail they broke up dec 07 but the sound is excellent very lucky to have met him

From: juan carlos Date: February 22, 2009 at 20:57
If you are a diehard-fan/collector of Sleazy HardRock Indie-albums youŽll definately enjoy this one more than me. This is an indie EP but iŽm not impressed at all, Good/Ok but not great IMO. 7.5/10

From: revengeofthefallen Date: March 20, 2009 at 15:21
