1983 was a great year for aor were many classic aor albums have been released;this album falls into that category of bands that achieved such statement.what we have here is an excellent blend of high class melodic rock with great use of backing vocals and loads of keyboard blasts coming out of everywhere!.the production is excellent throughout and doug riley proves to be an amazing vocalist.congratulations to peacemaker for having the guts to release this classic album of epic proportions!.buy!!

Totally agree Rob, another of those overlooked albums finally reissued on cd, and one i have lived with for a good few years since it's initial release on good old vinyl. Can't pick a favorite on this one , as i like all of 'em, but probably 'Behind Your Eyes' & 'Video Kids' would be the place to start.

Indeed, indeed, another overlooked AOR classic ! For all the lovers of nice keys, this is the one for you. Now also available on CD !, and rightly so. I totally agree with Rob, a man of fine taste. If you don't believe me, I pray : believe him ! A MUST HAVE !

The band and their one and only album is certainly a stab at 80's AOR, particularly of the pompiest kind. Acts like Russ Ballard, Charlie and 'Turn Out The Lights' era Tycoon are the major comparisons here. The songs are quite varied, and thankfully not one of them sounds similar.

ALL TIME CLASSIC AOR.

Yes, Doug Riley is a fantastic singer and this is indeed a very fine AOR album. I don't think you'll find better examples of pompy AOR than "Behind Your Eyes" or "Live Forever". RECOMMENDED. 9.5/10

From: juan carlos Date: April 10, 2007 at 14:05
Gran voz, producción, disco buenísimo aunque con sus toques Pomp. "VIDEO KIDS" quizas el mejor AOR alegre que haya escuchado, con esos teclados y synth.: vaya temazo. "Behind Your Eyes", "Mean Street", la tranquila "I´m Sorry", "Live Forever" (2º fav.), "I Want You" y "Any Moments" las mejores. La 5 es muy pomp y no me gusta, la 7 un tanto Pomp tambien pero aceptable, el resto es muy bueno. Recomendable. 8.8/10

From: Rafo Phoenix Date: April 10, 2007 at 16:34
Very Good AOR/Pomp album, que mas acotar Video Kids(de igual forma mi favorito y si tiene el comienzo de uno de los juegos mas LEGENADRIOS de todos los tiempos PAC-MAN no hay mas que decir" ese sonido me trae unos recuerdos que para que te cuento me da un escalofrio en la espina dorsal, Live Forever un trabajo muy compacto, ahora si os gusta este trabajo no se olviden del mismo año de Arcangel, Thrills, Automatix, Preview, Shelter o Streets 8.5/10.

This is a cool find! - Prototype was an awesome album and so was it's keyboardist, Doug Riley. I know because he was a "roommate" of mine (for a short period of time in Calgary) I at one time had a copy of the demo cassette but alas, it got lost. I also have some pictures of Dougy cookin up a storm at our apartment just off 17th Ave and 14th St (will have to find them and post a link) On here HeavyHarmonies.com, it'says he is also listed on Alannah Myles' album "Arival". Can anyone confirm this?

Very good, if you like old school AOR with great keys, you'll love this CD.

Hi,I had been trying to get thid cd for a long time and there was no way?suddenley I found it on E-Bay,I remmber this cd from the reviews from AOR-Heaven,I was not to excited with this cd at the beginning, but out of the Blue this thing hit me,it is very good and you get kind of hooked on this, the first song,Behind your Eyes really has some energy and sets of a strong keyboard driven AOR-Masterpiece,9,5/10.

From: PODEROSO YIRO Date: May 5, 2008 at 20:17
Early 80S AOR in a Arcangel, Streets and Preview vein with Pomp and electronic elements on Keyboards mainly (Synth bands Like Alphaville for example). It doesn´t drive me Crazy, but i think it is a very good album and very representative of that period
