|I've been a fan of Ken Tamplin's music for years now, ever since I stumbled across An Axe to Grind in a dusty pawn shop oh so many years ago. One listen to his distinctive voice and use of towering vocal harmonies, and I was hooked. I've since picked up the Shout discs, Magdallan, and all of his solo works. I've had the pleasure of meeting him and seeing him perform live twice. A nicer man you'd never meet; truly refreshing in an industry dominated by ego. |
Ken is one of my favorite Christian artists; his lyrics showcase his faith without becoming "preachy". His positive outlook shines through without ever distracting from the music.
I was looking forward to this album, especially after reading that there was going to be a host of big-league guests. This album does not disappoint in any way! At its core, this is a melodic hard rock album. It occasionally dabbles in various musical styles about the periphery, but never strays far from the signature Tamplinesque vocal harmonies we've come to appreciate.
The myriad of guest guitarists add a unique touch to each and every song on the album; nothing comes across as "samey". My favorite tracks are the lead-off The Story of Love (featuring Jeff Scott Soto in a guest vocal appearance), Mystery, Cell Phone Freaks, and Saints and Heros. File this one in the "must have" column!

|Dan has said it all... this is a great album, with great songs! In every song you're waiting for the guitar solo: Howie, Doug, Pete, Scott,... fantastic!

|GREAT!!! This is one of the best CDs I've listened to in years... Really good compositions, and every song has its amazing guitar solo, played by masters of guitar such as: Kee Marcello, Richie Kotzen, Pete Lesperance, Doug Aldrich, Marty Friedman, Matias Eklund, Howie Simon, and many more. Besides this, we need musicians like Ken Tamplin, with a strong belief in God, and this is shown in the lyrics, with a healthy, positive message.

||Date: July 9, 2006 at 18:19|
*******************Lucas H Gordon www.myspace.com/lucasgordon

|I'm a big fan of Ken Tamplin's work, but this is not his best effort, despite the inclusion of a whole host of legendary guest musicians. It's not bad, per se, but it slots safely into the melodic hard rock genre, whereas most of his other stuff was fret-scorching melodic metal. While there are some good hooks and solid choruses on here, they pale in comparison to his work with Shout or the self-titled Tamplin release (the less said about Magdallan, the better). You probably won't want to boot this CD out of your collection, but you will most likely listen to other Ken Tamplin projects more often.

|There are much more other solo shapes about Ken tamplin better once than this one...this is nothing more as AOR!!!

|Well Dan's comment said it all...Ken Tamplin is undoubtebly one of the best CCM artist and musician in its all to be around up to these days...Ok,this album is not as strong as other releases of the main man but still offers great songs such as "The Story Of Love","We've Jihad Enough","Wake The Nations"(rocks!),"God In Heaven"(nice chorus line)& "Sing"(nice)...87/100
