ANother fantastic record is added to the list. Brilliant AOR once again. Need I say more ?

From: AOR freaky Date: December 16, 2003 at 9:02
The only Walker worth talking about ! This is indeed f...g great AOR and it seems that there are not many people knowing this, which is strange ! But if you don't know it, you don't know what you miss !

From: ROB GARCIA Date: February 1, 2004 at 6:21
yeah youre right guys!! this is a tremendous collection of aor tunes that any self respected aor fan shouldnt avoid.go buy this....you wont feel sorry;trust me on this one.

From: Bill Date: February 16, 2004 at 18:44
If you like 'Reckless' by Bryan Adams you will love this album!!! Killer AOR CD with a handful of hitsingles!!!

From: Brett Walker Date: March 14, 2004 at 20:02
Yeah this is a fantastic record. This guy is not only a great singer, he is good looking, smart and funny. Wow, I wonder what it would be like to be him. One can only dream.

From: K.K. Poland Date: August 20, 2004 at 4:03
I only have song called 'quicksand' and its great,

From: TIM (2) Date: August 20, 2004 at 4:53
This is not as 'nu-breed' as I expected after Freddy's comments, is certainly nothing like the Marvelous 3 stuff he did later(!) This is jangly guitar-driven AOR with a few real killer tracks ('No Fire Without you', 'More than a Memory' and the brilliant 'Lecia') and a whole batch of good ones. This is certainly better than the B.W & the Railbirds album that followed, and has a huge in-your-face production. Fans of the Stage Dolls should probably pick this up. 8/10.

From: AOR freaky Date: August 20, 2004 at 7:09
Dear TIM (2) : you're confused my friend ! This is Brett Walker, with a great AOR record, not Butch Walker, the man from the nu-breed. Big mistake by yours, my friend ! Brett is not the guy from the crap act Marvelous 3 ! He would be getting a heart attack by hearing and reading this. I have met this man, he's an AOR man, opposite to Butch Walker ! Read my comments above, dated from 2003 on this one ! I never said this was nu-breed ! This is great AOR !

From: TIM (2) Date: August 20, 2004 at 8:07
I know Freddy, I was just being sarcastic. Agree this is a very good album but the one with the Railbirds (?) aftewards was pretty average though, don't you think?

From: AOR freaky Date: August 20, 2004 at 15:26
I totally agree, TIM (2). The one with the Railbirds was even less than average. I call it crap !

From: Geoff Date: August 22, 2004 at 5:12
This is a great CD. Of course not as good as the mighty Butch, but as noted 'Quicksand' is a gem, and my fave of this album. Great, clean and crisp melodic rock.

From: Harald Date: September 3, 2004 at 19:20
One of those albums that got me into the 'underground AOR thing', still canīt believe this isnīt better known to the CD buying public in general. I Love this CD, IMO a forgotten classic 100/100. I just wish I would hear something like 'Lecia' or 'No Fire Without You' in the german radio these days.....

From: Wotty Date: September 3, 2004 at 19:42
Harald, you think German radio is dodgy, you ought to spend a day in the U.K. listening to the crap we get served up...

From: Harald Date: September 3, 2004 at 20:47
To Wotty, our radio is so fucked up today, if you will ever come over to Germany, go out and have some beers or do something else but NEVER turn on the radio, you canīt bear otherwise.

From: Dani Date: April 3, 2005 at 14:07
Absolutely GREAT!!! This is pure AOR.

From: Nick C Date: April 5, 2005 at 13:48
Absolutely brilliant CD ... Possibly the best of Brett Walkers releases. Jam packed with great tunes. Imagine Bryan Adams circa Reckless but with better songs, voice and a more varied sound. Lecia is one of these classic lost AOR songs that everyone should hear. Quicksand has a killer chorus which just grabs you the first time that you hear it. There are vocal arrangements and harmonies to die for on this CD. Buy it or borrow it..and if you borrow move house so you don't have to give it back.

From: Harald Date: May 4, 2005 at 15:59
THE equivalent to Bryan Adams 'Reckless'....a 100% must have!!!

From: Jasper Date: August 9, 2005 at 15:04
Just got the CD from AOR Heaven. Wow!!! Classic AOR in the style of Bryan Adams. No weak tracks. 'Quicksand' and 'No fire without you' are killer tunes that grab you immediately. The monster production is done by Brett himself (with some help by David Prater). Jim Peterik, Jonathan Cain and Stan Bush all have a hand in writing some tracks - the quality really shines through. Absolutely immense. Buy or die!!

From: Richie Gower Date: September 17, 2005 at 7:19
An absolute GEM!!! Immense melodic AOR, Brett Walker is GOD!!! Every home should have a copy.

From: metalguf Date: May 12, 2006 at 11:53
This is a very good CD. Many good songs here. My favourites are: No fire without you and More Than a Memory.

From: Axe-Machine Date: December 30, 2006 at 17:25
WOW! 'Lecia', 'Bring Back The Night', 'Quicksand'...hell, they're all great! One of those acousticy yet rockin' singer/songwriter albums with hints of Bryan Adams, Tom Kimmel etc. If you like this one, be sure to check out his second album 'Lift Off', which is almost as amazing. Excellent AOR.

From: insane Date: February 21, 2007 at 15:10
I can't say it's a perfect release because it's not! But there's perfect GEMS in here. 'Hard To Find An Easy Way', 'Lecia', 'Quicksand' & 'More Than A Memory' absolutely brilliant. Brett Walker at his best! 8/10

From: aorluver Date: July 20, 2008 at 11:09
A nice solid piece of AOR with clean perfect production. The opener easily matches the best of the kind RECOMMENDED!

From: juan carlos Date: October 23, 2008 at 22:36
Yeah brilliant AOR! i bought this CD because of many positive comments round here. "Nevertheless" reminds me of Dan Lucas, Bryan Adams and Michael Morales to name a few.. My favorite songs are "No Fire Without You"(What a Chorus!!) "More Than a Memory" "Lecia" "Quicksand" and "Hard to Find an Easy Way". There are big names in the songwriting department such as Stan Bush, Jim Peterik, Jonathan Cain, Carl Dixon and Brett of course. A must Have in your CDs Collection. 8.9/10

From: Ryan Date: February 3, 2009 at 6:01
Absolutely fanastic CD with no filler tracks. You know an album is great when you're struggling to pick a favorite song!!

From: lalo r.o.c.k. Date: June 1, 2009 at 11:17
Another jewel, top notch AOR,tracks like Quicksand ,Hard to find a way,Lecia and No fire without you(great ballads) are examples of very good taste and music perfection,if you buy it you wonīt regret,9/10.

From: Henrykane Date: November 17, 2011 at 6:13
Absoulte AOR-Westcoast Masterpiece in the mood of the Michael Thompson Band/Jeff Paris/Glen Burtnick/Mitch Malloy. Way too much overlooked, even by the "so called" AOR experts... By the way, the album "Spirit Junky" (2007), another music peak from Mr.Walker, is missing here. Take care! ;-)

From: rick kerch vzla Date: June 29, 2013 at 18:56
In agreement with the positive comments above!!!...i was really surprised when i listened to this Brett's album ...vocally talking he has some Bryan Adams kinda singing here and there and the music is what we can call AOR for the true at heart...8 out of 11 songs are in my book(1,3,5,6,8,9,10 & 11)...anything else to say???...yes,get it!!!...a well balanced of AOR,mid tempos & softies songs...recommended...90/100

From: juan carlos Date: July 13, 2013 at 20:08
Sadly, i have to say Brett Walker, recently passed away. Thank you Brett, your music will live in our hearts forever. :'-(
