If you see any errors or omissions in the CD information shown above, either in the musician credits or song listings (cover song credits, live tracks, etc.), please post them in the corrections section of the Heavy Harmonies forum/message board.

The music discographies on this site are works in progress. If you notice that a particular Dakota CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. EPs and CD-singles from Dakota are also welcome to be added, as long as they are at least 4 songs in length.

Right Rob, but I think 'Runaway' blows this one away ! And a lot of other releases from them too ! Have you already heard their new one 'Deep 6' ? Another class release from one of the best band on this planet !

From: ROB GARCIA Date: March 17, 2004 at 11:11
hi aor freaky!! nope! i haven't heard the deep 6 album jet but i'm looking forward to it...i hope it's better than the little victories release;i did like that album it's just that i was expecting something a bit more special from this guys and somehow i was a bit dissapointed.about the runaway album,i totally agree with you that it's their best album so far and i think it's gonna take some beating to knock it off the first place...but hey anything can happen!!.

Superb AOR westcoast record. Deep 6 is very good. Their best since Runaway.

From: perry.k Date: January 27, 2005 at 7:58
I think that the only difference between these two PEARLS is that the 'RUNAWAY' has this 80s feeling/atmosphere while the S/T sounds more 70ish.But both are of equal quality and are BOTH a MUST!Best trax on this one:"Crazy 4 your love","Lady","Possesion","Can't live without it and "If it takes all night".

I agree this album for the time period could have made alot of noise in the states if Columbia CBS would have pushed the star button and promoted the record. We were support on the biggest tour of 1980 Queen's the Game tour For 3 months we were getting great response IF IT TAKES ALL NIGHT was in the top 10 in alot of secondary markets waiting to explode //waiting for them to push the button the guys in Queen treated us like part of the tour not just an opening act life was good... but CBS dropped

I'm 43 years old, play in bands & listen to ALOT of music! Deep 6 is the best all-around, melodic music I've heard in a LONG time! This stuff is great! I have just discovered Dakota - don't know how they stayed under my radar all these years! I find myself singing their songs during the day! The up-beat songs are killer, the mid-tempo songs are very memorable as well as the ballad! Just killer stuff! If you like AOR, pick up Deep 6! You won't be disappointed!!

"If It Takes All Night" o la balada "Can't Live Without It" por nombrar 2. Los bonus "The Higher You Rise" y "Give Another Love"(mi favorita) buenas tb. A Fans del AOR 70ero les caerá de perillas. 8.8/10

This debut blows the Runaway to smithereens.
