Great AOR! This gem is worth the hype in my opinion. Very good stuff if you can ever find it. |

Yes, I would have to say this is probably the best Canadian indie going right now. Remarkable production for the obviously limited budget... tracks like 'Love Thing' and 'Let Me Know' remind me of Wall of Silence, Biloxi's 'Let the Games Begin', Rude or an even more polished Worlds Apart. Brilliant AOR choruses, shimmering keys, backing vocals in good supply... unfortunately, this baby is harder to find than open cleavage on a Calcutta street corner. |

I'm guilty of being one of the people driving up the ebay average price, but I finally decided to go for it and get a copy. A nice sealed one at that! An excellent album all the way around. My motivation for owning this CD has to do with me being an APRIL WINE collector. Simon Says producer Gary Moffet used to play guitar for April Wine so I needed a copy of the CD for my collection. When I read the credits I was surprised to learn there is a second April Wine connection. Jeff Smallwood played a |

This cd was a little too soft & poppy for me, but they do play a good consistent music style that some people might like. |
From: Nanteau | Date: December 8, 2003 at 21:45 |
purrfect-kat, you think it's poppy?? Don't think so but there's something in that statement 'cos I think it's rather nu breed. I don't think in the least it's worth the big money you have to spend for it, the only good song on it -really good- is the ballad WHEN I SEE YOU STANDING THERE. My conclusion is don't ever buy it for more than 20,00 Dollars. |

Love thing ! This has to be rated as one the most catchy tunes of all time. What a song. Play it loud and hard !!! |
From: Geoff | Date: September 6, 2004 at 20:45 |
Wow, look at the price on this one! I'd love to find a copy of it! My CDR sounds just great to me so I could pass that one off to a wanter and finally earn a dollar from this. This is a good, consistent melodic rock CD, but definately, IMO, nothing to mail the kids about. Good CD, but I'd advise testing it out (CDR) before coughing up those kinds of dollars! |
From: jessica96fish | Date: October 8, 2004 at 9:48 |
think i'll pass on this one.not that good.not when you look at the money it goes for.not even a full album.rip off or what.but then again.if you've got the money buy it. |
From: TipperaryAR1 | Date: October 28, 2004 at 12:57 |
Going to agree with jessica96fish on this one! Someone made me a CDR a while back and I took it off my search list. Way better things out there than this, and what a f*ckin' stupid cover! Who produced this cd, Mattel? Simon Says is in short THE definition of 'hype' in the indie market today. Not rare, not good, not buying it. Simon Says...forget this rip off! |
From: koogles | Date: January 21, 2005 at 9:51 |
Not rare, huh, TipperaryAR1? Well, I beg to differ. When I live in Canada and do searches as often as I do, I think the fact that I've found only 2 of these in 10 years makes it rare. And for AOR, you can't get a better indie than this. You just talked yourself out of one of the best melodic indies out there. Your loss= someone else's gain. |

Hello. My name is Matthew, the keyboard player from this CD. Thanks for the feedback, both good and bad. It is really neat to hear what people think of your music. I'm also blown away at the price of the CD on EBAY. I only wish that I had a box of CDs left over to sell. We only produced 500 CDs and 500 cassettes. (I think, it's been a while) I only have one left and I'm keeping it. Johnny, the singer, is still performing in a Queen cover band called MerQury in Germany. Thank-you! |

Good AOR album from canada, Y con un sello Independiente tienen mas valor aun, y como siempre Canada un pais que solo sabe sacar buenos grupos y buenos albums, en cortes Why in the World(aunque la mas corta de todas tambien es La MEJOR y la mas MAGICA), Love Thing(segunda favorita), Love Don't Come Easy asi que seņores estan ante un buen disco en especial los 2 primeros cortes citados. saludos desde Santiago-Ica-Peru de Rafo 'Phoenix' La Leyenda. |

I've only heard 'Love Thing' and 'Let Me Know'. Excellent music from what I've heard so far. Album cover art is beyond cheesy, though. |

A well worth Ebay price (if u are lucky enough to grab a copy of it) for an indie release, good quality AOR tracks, shamely this lot only recorded this kinda mini album (just 7 tracks)but outstanding in all aspects,i mean, this is not the best release ever but surely a good one.The Intro is a cool stater and immediately put us highlight tracks 'Love Thing','Let Me Know' & 'Why In The World',a beautiful ballad is in it too 'When I See You Standing There' and 'Love Don't Come Easy' a track that is ToTo influenced a 100%,'The Promise' closes the album with a pseudo promise of a following album that never came...anyway if by coincidence you have the chance to find or buy this album,do it!..you won't regret it.88/100 |

Not sure if it IS worth the ebay prices but definitely worthy of 95/100 mark that I am going to give it |
