This is a good album. There are many songs on it that keep alive the hope for the AOR survival. |

An example of an album with a few very good songs that will be hummed for long but with quickly forgetable ones too. Stands out for Blowing up my Detroit, Angel (typical but good), Blue Hero, Am I fooling myself? and Let me in. The other ones? well, of course they´re not bad, but imo, they don´t come with anything new. In short, this is an album that will catch you at first listening but will not hook you for long. |

Very solid hard rock that stands the test of time much better than the majority of tripe that gets hyped to the heavens around here. Some filler, but hey no album is perfect is it? |

The very best thing about this album is the quality of songwriting. Each track contains enough hooks and melodies to hold your attention and remain embedded in your memory for the next time it's played. It's basically the difference between a good album and a classic. We need more songs like these that capture the essence of melodic rock - great catchy hooks and memorable choruses. Alfonzetti has all of this and is topped off by a killer vocal performance. |

What a great album ! The album picks you up and never puts you down again. Catchy melodic rock with a superb voice from Matt. Reminds me of the Bam Bam Boys ( a classic!). The song that stands out for me and really has(had) hit potential is Am i fooling myself. With the right clip to go along you have yourself a winner. Anyways a solid album and look forward to more ! |

It's neither a hard rock record, nor a pure AOR record. It's a well produced commercial rock album filled with great songs. The album ranges from pure AOR to funked up hard rock, to the much loved but hard to do right high-tech AOR. The majority of tracks go towards commercial FM radio style US rock. |

BRILLIANT CD!TRACKS 1,2,6,8,9,10 WILL HOOK YOU ON THE FIRST LISTEN.THESE SIX ARE ALL GOOD STRAIGHT AHEAD MELODIC ROCKERS.TRACKS 3,4,7,11 ARE MORE GROOVY ROCK TUNES THAT WILL GROW ON YOU THE MORE YOU LISTEN TO THEM.TRACK 12 IS A BALLAD WHICH IS ALSO A GROWER.VERDICT:IF YOU WANT A GOOD SOLID MELODIC ROCK CD THEN LOOK NO FURTHER THAN THIS CD.IT IS A SHAME THAT I CANNOT RECOMMMEND MACHINE WHICH IS A TOTAL DEPARTURE FROM THIS.FOR A BEEFIER VERSION OF TRACK 6 CHECK OUT THE EXCELLENT JAGGED EDGE. |

this cd never left my deck for weeks.but as someone else put on here.it soon looses its appeal.but not a bad cd.and it does have its moments.so if you can get it cheap.then buy it.and its the best thing mr alfonzetti has ever done. |

The two extremes with the 2 Alfonzetti albums. One a melodic rock monster, the other an abysmal grunge effort. This is the one to have, some great vocals and brilliant catchy songs. "Better than Goodbye" is probably the most commercial track, but there are 3 or 4 real gems on here. 8.5/10. |

Que buen cantante es.Mis favoritas son la 4,6 y la última donde pone un sentimiento para cantar único. hard rock melódico a lo Jagged Edge mezclado con Bad Company de los primeros. Que lastima lo que canta ahora. |
From: Geoff | Date: March 21, 2005 at 19:31 |
Like Jagged Edge's 'Fuel for your soul', there are melodic gems and good solid hard rockers. Not a huge fan of the more average tracks, but holy f*ck 'Better Than Goodbye' is a melodic hard rocking gem, 'Angel' is great, 'Out In The Cold' is not as good as the original but still awesome, 'Am I Fooling Myself?' is another sensational melodic gem, as is 'Don't Let Our Love Go Down'. A few fillers, but the gems are awesome and it's a good melodic rock disc. |
