After a six year hiatus, Brian May is back with his trademark guitar sound and Queen-like arrangements. Not a bad album, especially the songs China Belle and The Guv'nor (with special guest Jeff Beck). Not as heavy on the solos this time around, but there's still enough to appreciate May's incredible talent. A little bit of everything songwise--ballads, space pop, hard rock, blues... All in all a pretty good CD by a pretty good musician. A solid 8/10. |
