One of late 80's rock pillars. Great melodic rock. Full of hits. Robert mason would have been a better singer on this. Oni is ok but not as good live. Roberts 10 times better.

Emotional rock 'n roll with a ballsy kick.'George Lynch's' finger prints are all over this album! Nice to see a band get along and blend together to make a very balanced and whole unit.'Lynch Mob' containing the very guts of 'Dokken',has unleashed it's melodic power on this album!!9 out of 10.

This is a must buying. I love this class metal/hard blues cd. The title track was the battle cry of my company in 1990. Oni Logan sings very well here. Is it true thhat he is come back with George Lynch?

I dig this cd. Good straight forward rock-n-roll. Badlands did this kind of stuff though a million times better. Oni Logan has a killer voice here but have you ever seen this guy live?? One of the most boring, uninspiring frontman you will ever see grace a stage and that's too bad with a voice like that. Watching paint dry is more inspiring than seeing him just a snore away from actually dozing on stage.

While little Georgie was out showing off in his new little band of posers called the 'LYNCH MOB', Don was out actually making GOOD music on his 1st solo release, 'Up From The Ashes'. Lynch WAS a great player, he is also a child and a self-glorifying asshole. Listen to 'Dysfunctional' or 'Shadowlife' and hear how he sold out to the 90s and screwed Dokken's fans over when the band re-united. I am glad he left Dokken and is never coming back again. 'WS' isn't good enough to wipe my ass with. Shit.

This c.d. Kicks ass ,it's alot more groove oriented than Dokken yet Lynch's trademark riffs are ever present.Oni Logan and Robert Mason both are great singers however I prefer Oni's voice with this band( I know some of you don't).If you do like Oni's voice....then check out a band called 'Cold Sweat'.Their c.d.'Break Out'has a guy wailing away who's a deadringer for Oni.

One thing I left out: Mick Brown is a great drummer; it is too bad he had to go on playing with Lynch, but you have to make your money somehow, right? Mick is cool in my book.

Best 'released' album ever (until Violet's Demise gets released). Best guitarist ever George Lynch and best singer ever Oni Logan, how can you go wrong. Listen to the solo in 'For A Million Years' and not get shivers down your spine I dare you! Every track on this album is fantastic, yes it may 'suffer' from the era it was released in but I say it is still fresh today, solo's are unfashionable, says who? It has groove, it has a darkness that no other glam rock album has, oh and it has ONI!!!

I'm a huge Dokken fan but this has nothing to do with Dokken. Take it for what it is-a good bluesy hard rock record. I heard that Oni left Lynch Mob because he hated to perform live...pretty strange if true. Great music to hear in a strip club, does a rock band need a better compliment??

Mason (singer on second album) may have had more technical ability, but nowhere near the vocal charisma and character that Oni had on this album. Unfortunately, Oni had a limited range - but this album shows it off to it's best. And George - jesus - he's just incredible. Here, he perfects his trademark pseudo-horror flick guitar wailing and makes all his Dokken stuff (except Mr. Scary) pale by comparison. His playing is lush and scary. An awesome album for the genre.

As a Dokken fan, let me say this: 'Mr. Scary' is one of the most overrated instrumentals known to mankind. I mean 'Switch 625' is a classic of sorts, but nobody seems to give a shit about that tune. You George Lynch fanatics......

Dokken6008...I have never been able to get 'into' Mr.Scary. Dunno why....I think it's too long maybe. I always thought that instrumentals that worked ( Coast To Coast, Into The Arena etc) sounded like songs but without lyrics. Mr.Scary, however, just sounds like an excuse to play a 4 minute guitar solo. Yeuuuuch. George is a fantastic player but Mr.Scary doesn't show his skills ...at least to me. I also semmed to have missed all the fun here. Someone using your name in vain buddy?

Para mi este es el mejor disco de hard rock que existe. Asi de claro. Hay que decir que no es un disco que entre a la primera, pero por otra parte lo escuchas hoy en dia y suena totalmente fresco y creo que hay pocos discos de los que se pueda decir eso.Es un album que te pone la piel de gallina. La voz de Oni Logan es perfecta para el estilo de composiciones de George Lynch. Si os gusta el HARD ROCK oscuro y con feeling no os lo perdais.

DOKKEN6008- I have never actually heard somebody choose Don over George. Are you related to him or something? Lynch Mob avioded the Ritalin induced hyper pop-metal formula and focused on creating lush blues inspired mood metal. I think Oni Logan just shines, like a mini-Coverdale in spots. Some of the tunes are unrealized fillers, but most are spot-on rockers that don't insult your itelligence. This one still gets play. I will avoid responding to the Beau Nasty fan. Flame on!!!

This album has some positives, but not to many. This album didn't do to much for my listening glands! And I expected a much better vocalist, some people mentioned a guy named Mason. Well I'll take there word for it. Rock on people.

'She's evil but she's Mine' is a great tune. Man, if you could have only seen them perform that live with Bassist Anthony Esposito's long, long, hair blowing in the wind. One of my greatest live metal moments ever.

Forget about any DOKKEN comparisons. Despite the fact that LYNCH MOB had 2 DOKKEN members in its ranks, they were very different musically. LYNCH MOB's debut is an appealing slab of sleazy hard rock. There's nothing about it that's gonna make your jaw drop, but it is a fine album of its type. Some really good songs with minimal filler. Their 2nd release was ok, but not up to the level of the debut.

Suffice to say that Lynch's style of guitar is my all-time favorite. His use of flat 5th's, chromotics and legato techniques all combine to create the style that is his. Whether you like it or not, whether you like him or Don or not, whether you prefer Oni or Robert on vocals, it cannot be denied that Dokken and Lynch Mob are in the same class and broad genre and that Don, George, Oni and Robert are all very talented. They also have ups and downs. I've seem them all in concert and I have....

To put it in pespective, consider this: What artist can be heard on average radio or MTV today that comes close to delivering a sound comparing with either Lynch Mob or Dokken? In my opinion, Lynch Mob doesn't compare to Dokken. That's mostly due to the fact that the guitar solos were recorded poorly on this CD. They're low and hard to hear compared to the rest of the music in the songs. In Dokken the solos really screamed out over everything else, the way I like it. I agree with MelodicMetalGod; nothing on the radio today can compare with true heavy metal. May the music of Skid Row, Nitro, Vinnie Vincent, and all the other metal bands live forever!

At what point do record execs use their minds and strike out after this style of music again? Feels like it's right there again, waiting to be found. Even though George is 50 or something and on steroids, he can still nail it with the tone and the playing. Sure was a shock to see what looked like Ahhhhhhnold Schwarznegger on stage a few years back, when I expected to see thin little old George. Why has no one commented on his drastic physical change? His playing still kills!

I remember that this came out at about the same time as up from the ashes. And at that time I thought it sucks, but it does not. There are some strong songs on this, but there are some floppers too, but worth owning for sure, if you like dokken or lynch. Rain is my favorite, but river of love and all i want are cool too. I played the guitar with this cover on it and it played like a ferrari. GREAT GUITAR!!

Don Dokken's solo album was great, so would George Lynch be able to match it? Not quite, as he goes for more of a harder sound than Dokken. Still the results are very good with "Wicked Sensation" and "River Of Love". 7/10

I bought this album for £1 in a second-hand store. Possibly the best £1 I will ever spend! It's utterly brilliant by anyone's standard, and puts a lot of more famous 'classic' albums to shame. There is not one weak track on this. As much as I love Dokken, it's clear George had the talent

This is just a great album. 'No bed of roses' and the earth shattering (Well, at least it shattered mine anyway) 'Through these eyes' - what a pair of songs! Two of the best of the genre! And ones like 'Sweet sister mercy' and the title track don't do the album any harm either. A couple of fillers, but Through these eyes I can only see as far as those two songs I mentioned first! Love it!

I wouldn't go so far as calling this a classic. Don Dokken's is more classic status than this. "Wicked Sensation" and "River Of Love" are the best tunes on here although "Rain" is pretty good too. The rest are pretty average. Nothing earth shattering but a competent album that can be bought pretty cheap.

This one proved who was really responsible for dokken's sound. This was truly a great album from start to finish. I liked Oni's voice the best out of the 2 singers. Robert got the job because he sounded a lot like Oni. George could have called this Back For The Attack part 2. If this would have came out a few years earlier than it did it would have been a huge seller.

this is one of those cds that just destroyed 80's metal.it sounds so mid '90's,HUGELLY DISSAPOINTING for fans of Dokken and George Lynch.to me he proves with this attempt that he is one of the biggest assholes on the planet.Dokken is one of my 2 most favorite bands(if not the most favorite).this is why there's no pop-metal today,those who fought for it,just betrayed it...listen to Don's - Up From The Ashes(the last true Dokken spirited cd).Norum and White will make you forget '90's Lynch...shame

Me again, I listened to up from the ashes again the other day. The only thing it is missing is Lynch. Don's album just does not kick ass. Wicked Sensation is one of my favorites of all time. The songwriting, vocals, musicianship, was all awesome. Look back at the writing credits and see who wrote all of Dokken's best songs. It was Lynch/Pilson. This CD blows away anything Don ever did on his own. Don't get me wrong, I still like Dokken's stuff, he just lost his edge without George.

Wouldn't consider George Lynch as one of the greatest. Though I love his playing, a definite virtuoso. Have read this story that he was very affected (emotionally?, psychologically?) that this little band called Mammoth in the late 70s got signed first and became huge though this band opened for them when his was one of the biggest in LA. He never really thought that there's this guy who was better than him. His name was Eddie Van Halen.

It's amazing how many bands are classified as great. While this isn't a classic, not many guitarists can hold a candle next to Lynch. Worth checking out for a handful of tunes like "Wicked Sensation", "River Of Love", & "Sister Mercy", otherwise keep rockin' with Dokken!!!

This is one kick ASS album I love the production, first track I loved from the off. Took a while to get into the rest of the album but once there OW it's good. I prefer this to DOKKEN never really liked DOKKEN...just not my thing. The song's are a bit lacking love stuff like Mud Slick, Saint's N Sinner's, Hardline that sort of rock. Great production cool riff's kick ass tune's-im happy...KEEP ROCKIN ALL!!!

7,5/10, IMO. Musically it is just OK, but it contains few fillers (Dance of The Dogs, Rain). The guitar vibe on this album is almost identical as in the Cold Sweat album. I think the latter has more catchy songs.

I like lynch mob's first two albums a lot. this one has more tracks than their following album but for me some songs here are better.standouts here: wicked sensation, hell child, she's so evil but she's mine and for a million years. great bluesy melodic hard rock/heavy metal album.

More bluesy than Dokken, but not in any kind of Muddy Waters way at all. Darker and more brooding than Dokken, a little slower and anthemic in a different way, kind of "mysterious," but still semi-hair metal. Oni Logan kinda reminds me of a poor man's Sebastian Bach, and Lynch, of course, shreds all over the place. The three singles the best, but also "Hell Child" and "She's Evil But She's Mine" stand out as highlights. DOn't care for the Stones cover at all.

Wicked Sensation had me thinking I was in for a barn burner what I got was pleasant enough blues based hard rock without the vocals that really hook me on those types of bands. Not bad at all but I'll take Up From The Ashes over this any day of the week.
