The best release for the 2003 till today. Amazing vocals by the Master himself: Sir Jorn Lande. YOU HAVE TO HAVE IT!!!!!!

From: David Date: March 30, 2003 at 22:53

From: Thorsten Date: April 10, 2003 at 10:00
Record of the Year 2003???(Maybe) A MASTERPEACE from MASTERPLAN This is a must have!!!!

From: nukster Date: May 30, 2003 at 16:25
What an album combining the hard hitting power metal of Helloween with the modern melodic vocal range of the main man himself Jorn Lande. This truly is a gem of an album as it caters for all generic types of rock. The duet with Helloweens original vocalist Michael Kiske is something to be heard. For once two top vocalists are not trying to outdo each other, instead they compliment each other with a fantastic mix of vocal harmonies and power hook. Tremendous guitar work all round. BUY THIS ALBUM

Not enough words on this site to describe just how good this album is. So far, has my vote for best of the year.

From: vandervelde Date: May 31, 2003 at 9:25
It's for me a little surprise to see this band on this page......i think HELLOWEEN must be included as well.....anyway this album is excellent, every musician here is a genious but one is most outstanding... Jorn Lande is simply the best singer in the world at this time ( even better than mr. Soto)...i just wish he record some time pure AOR/Hardrock album, but this also KICK ASS. The best song is Heroes duet with Helloween legend Michael Kiske, pure melodic song, all AOR lovers will love this...

From: Rycheage Date: June 12, 2003 at 0:23
All hail Jorn Lande. A very likeable record that grows to be a metal classic and overall, one of the most consistent records of it's style that I have heard in ages.

From: Dave Date: June 12, 2003 at 13:20
Just Excellent. Saw them live in a very small venue - maybe 100 people the other day! Catch their show if you can. Great singing by Lande and excellent guitars! Someone asked how the sound? Mixture of Helloween and Dio and some thougher Coverdale thrown in at times. A brew that'll take you higher...

From: baroqq Date: June 29, 2003 at 10:16
Don't pass this up, coz this is one of the best released for Jorn Lande and the excellent guitar playing from Roland Grapow. A+++++++

From: Nortum Date: September 5, 2003 at 19:08

I agree with all of you, however why wasn't through thick and thin included on this album. You all overlooked Uli's play on the kit- quite noisy and loud !!!

From: MadHatter Date: November 30, 2003 at 16:27
In the past few months, I have listened to MANY new metal cd's, and I have to say that Masterplan is by far the best that I have come across in a long while. Masterplan's self-titled cd is pure aural orgasmic enjoyment!! So do yourself a favor, if you haven't already, and go out and make this a high priority purchase.

Just picked this one up right before Xmas and though I'm still getting to know it, I do like what I hear. Jorn Lande's voice has a lot of Coverdale in it. Not exactly what I expected when I heard that Roland and Uli wanted to go heavier than they had been doing in Helloween, but still very cool. I especially like "Enlighten Me" at the moment.

From: mauricio barque Date: January 3, 2004 at 20:13

A great melodic metal masterpiece. "Crystal Night" is the coolest tune I have heard in a while!! Just buy it.

From: Rockhead Date: March 17, 2004 at 14:04
What a great traditional hard rocking album. Jorn lande turns everything into gold!! Enlighten me is my by far and away favourite track but this disc is uniformly superb. A definate winner!!

From: Dave Date: July 8, 2004 at 8:05
I do prefer Jorn's solo work more, but i must mention Enlighten Me, Soulburn and When Love Comes Close as great tracks. The single Enlighten Me also contains the video clip so it is well worth getting!

From: Emi Date: September 28, 2004 at 13:32

From: Rudi Date: November 1, 2004 at 14:22
I have to agree with Dave I think Jorn`s solo work has more character. The music ...... well if you`ve heard Helloween and Gamma Ray then there`ll be no suprises on this CD.

From: Geoff Date: January 4, 2005 at 23:56
Great melodic metal album. I prefer Jorn's album with Millenium and his 'Worldchanger' CD sounds awesome, but this is great too. Good stuff, awesome sound.

From: kikoborrico Date: January 25, 2005 at 3:13

From: figgy Date: January 25, 2005 at 19:16

From: Rob Date: April 7, 2005 at 14:55
AWESOME CD! Best release from Jorn Lande since Millenium's Hourglass, and the drummer kicks serious ass....

From: Lennie Date: August 18, 2005 at 7:00
Whilst having been eclipsed by the mighty 'Aeronautics' this remains an excellent melodic metal release. The second half of the album never quite matches the power of the first half, and special mention must go to 'Crystal Night', 'Enlighten Me' and 'Soulburn' all of which are classics metal tracks.
