Disapointed with this release. The production is terrible (sounding like low end demo's on some tracks), the songs are 2nd rate and the overll feel is lacklustre. If you like the debut or The Storm or Journey you may find something here. |

Don't agree with our dear Rockhead on this one. O.K., the production is not good, but the songs ? ! These are as always very good. It's not classic stuff, but damn fine AOR ! Good one ! |

I'm with AOR freaky on this, real quality songs that shine through the hazy fog that is the production. Fans of Ramos' recent solo effort, and the first Storm album (the second is light years ahead of this) and The V.U should find a lot to enjoy here. This was in my top 10 of 2002... 8.5/10. |

Like the third Hugo CD, this is a good CD that could have been a great CD with a little studio TLC. The production is lacking, sure, but great AOR songs like 'More Than A Mystery' and 'This Night' still make the cut for this Journey-Storm fan. |

From: AOR freaky | Date: August 17, 2004 at 6:36 |

I think Kevin Chalfont is working on a christian-type CD at the moment.Anyone else shed any light? |
From: Gazza Styx | Date: August 18, 2004 at 13:25 |
Very poor album. The album sounds like it was recorded underwater! Only 2 good tracks. The rest are terrible. The worst album i have heard from Chalfant. Avoid. Glad to see Josh Ramos has gone on to do better things with Hardline and his own band. I have also heard about Chalfant's Christian album. Hmmmmmm. Think I'll give that a miss. We want a Storm reunion CD ASAP! |

I agree with you Gazza Styx, although you may be a little tough on the albums quality.I am glad I was not the only one who quaked when hearing about the so called christian album.A Storm re-union,I could live with that...... |
From: Swriter | Date: February 21, 2005 at 16:24 |
let me start off by saying that the songs, More than a Mystery, and Somewhere Far Away are among the best of Kevin's long career. With that, this album is not close to the Two Fires debut in terms of production and songs, still a good album!!! |
From: Axe-Machine | Date: January 16, 2006 at 16:12 |
Probably the better of the two albums, as it features some superb songs. Unfortunately, the album is almost unlistenable due to one of the most terrible production jobs I have ever heard....EVER! Some very talented musicians just seem unable to admit that they need a producer around to make them sound great. Could have been a great album, but the potential of the songs is lost in a sea of less than demo-like production. Avoid. |

BRILLIANT 10/10. |

"IGNITION" "SOMEWHERE FAR AWAY" ARE KILLER AOR TUNES, "MORE THAN A MYSTERY" A POWER BALLAD ONE OF MY FAVS,"YOU'RE BRINGING ME DOWN" GREAT HARD-AOR, "I'M FALLING" ONE OF THE BEST BALLADS EVER RECORDED BY THIS DUO CHALFANT-RAMOS I LOVE IT,"THIS NIGHT" JOURNEY MEETS STORM,"THE MAN I WANT TO BE" ANOTHER HIGHLIGHT BALLAD,"I WILL REMEMBER YOU" ANOTHER GREAT SONG.ALL THE SONGS ARE COMPOSED BY CHALFANT-PETERIK AND CHALFANT RAMOS. THE CD SURPRISE ME WITH A HIDDEN TRACK, WOW. LONG LIVE CHALFANT-RAMOS. |
