This is one of the best reunions between Rock and Classical that's ever been done. The orchestra is not just a background effect or something, and the arrangements are just brilliant. 'Hurricane 2000', 'Wind of Change' and the two instrumentals are true masterpieces. Absolutely great! |

How did this end up on the Top 25 list....???? No Scorpions cd should be here, Alleast not any releases after Blackout, which is much better than this waste of time release. |

I was amazed at this one. I would think only John Lord could get away with this but the Maistro himself gets all of the credit for this one. Superb ensamble, fantastic mixing ability kept simple and to the point. |

I enjoyed this - something different with the classical touch - they sound great. |

Besides the horrible cover, an top quality rock and classical crossover album. The orchestral arrangements are excellent, especially in tracks like "Hurricane 2000", "Send Me An Angel", "Wind Of Change", giving a sensation of splendor and magnificense. Highly recommended both for fans of the Scorpions and classical music. |

Whose idea was it to merge orchestral and rock music? It simply doesn't work. All I hear on this album are good songs ruined by orchestral mess in the back ground. |

For me this is a top notch album by all means!!!..great arrangements of classic tracks...the band fitted greatly with the orchestra turning it into a powerful yet subtle rock orchestra...100/100 |

Many years ago I was talking to a guy I worked with who was into heavy metal. I was trying to teach him how "heavy" does not necessarily need guitar and drums played an break neck pace, and I recommended early Sabbath as a case in point (he went away listened to them and agreed). Another thing I said was there was a lot of classical music that is heavy as fuck as well and once again he agreed after listening. I think classical music and rock/metal have a lot in common. There are heavy moments mixed with chilled out balladesque style tunes. This is why this album works so damn well. People can say "This combination does not work" but they actually mean it does not work for them as it sure as shit works for a lot of people. You have to open yourself up to music to fully appreciate it. If you pidgeon hole yourself you end up missing a lot of good shit. Not everything is great obviously, but if you dont even give it a chance, how do you know? |
