Aug. 20, 2025: Temporary Message Board ClosureThe company hosting the message board sprung a surprise price hike on me that would have more than tripled the monthly hosting costs, so I've been scrambling to find an alternative. I've purchased a license for self-hosting a different platform and am hiring a consultant to migrate the existing board's content (posts, user profiles, etc.). However, this means I need to shut down the message board for anywhere from 3 days to (hopefully less than) a week so the data can be migrated. While this is an expensive proposition up front, it should result in some long-term savings. The current message board will be closed down at some point this Saturday, August 23. I will post updates here. The main site (where you are reading this), will NOT be affected. -Dan |

I really like Pete Sandberg's 'solo' albums, and to be honest, most of his work. And this is no exception. Good, enjoyable and solid melodic rock. 'Distant love' is a perfect example of his melodic craft, but my favourite song on this is the beautiful ballad 'Venedigen Blind'. I love that song, but there's barely a bad moment on this one. Recommended for fans of his other solo albums and his work with Alien. |

Already had Pete's second album Origin. Which i really like. Its melodic rock. This one , with songs like Restless Child, Cry for You , Sweet Sweet, House of Love andBadlands is more hardrock orientated. The guy can write a tune tho. Cool voice. Yeah really love this album. And like Geoff wrote Distant Love is melodic rock perfection. These are the kind of songs i live and breath for. Higly recommanded album. ![]() |

Not a bad album, even if somewhat uneven in quality. As Geoff stated, Venedigen blind is really special, what a song! |
