Excellent debut from the Brit AOR/ Melodic rockers. Alan Clark is an excellent vocalist, reminding somewhat of the great Chris Overland of FM. 11 great tracks make up a strong release.

EXELLENT JOB FROMA VERY TALENTED BAND. JUST CLASS MELODIC ROCK IN VEIN OF THEIR FRIENDS OF ESCAPE LABEL EPARTURE INTRUDER OR FIREFLY.

From: TYNO / BRAZIL Date: April 10, 2003 at 13:54
NICE AOR ALBUM FROM CHANGE OF HEART . CATCHY SONGS, GOOD KEYBOARD WORK AND NICE VARIATION. TRACK 8 IS KILLER . 9,5/10

From: Rycheage Date: June 23, 2003 at 19:00
This is an essential album for fans of The Distance and Heartland and should be on most melodic fans' shopping lists. While not ground breaking, it is very very good melodic pop rock.

From: Scandi Date: October 4, 2003 at 16:24
just good craftsmanship work -NO more. "Always be the one" is the only song that rocks a little maybe alongside with the first track. the rest just bores you to death if you're a fan of crispy Melodic Rock instead of this drowsy vegetables. Of course, if ya like STRANGEWAYS it's your turn now

Change of Heart is great news for the British rock fan, there is so little talent treading the boards these days and it’s great to see an album like this being put out by a label who care for their listeners.

From: GlenRavine Date: January 10, 2004 at 14:54
Not bad at all - actually was pleasantly surprised - songs are great with a great catchy chorus - very nice listen. Recommeded to all AOR fanatics.

From: Jordi Date: January 12, 2004 at 4:37
Si mezclas los Atlantic, Journey y The Storm = Change of Heart. Que gusto dan gruposcomo estos. Simplemente geniales, perfectos coros, una voz muy lograda y unas canciones muy bien estructuradas, de calidad y pomposas. Notable alto.

From: AOR freaky Date: January 12, 2004 at 4:53
This is indeed a very good AOR record ! Recommended !

From: peter poland Date: July 3, 2004 at 18:54
not bad album but follow up CONTINUUM is much better.

From: Roxas Date: October 24, 2004 at 23:21
A great introduction to the superb Change of Heart. Escapes finest act (sorry Heartland- ironically Heartland are heavily involved in all things Escape). This album has some great stuff on it including 2 sensational ballads. Well woth getting. British Melodic rock at it's best.

From: Melodic_Rocker Date: November 22, 2004 at 13:50
Not bad album, but in my opinion nothing specials. And the drum/production sound weak to me.6/10

From: Geoff Date: March 7, 2005 at 6:41
What a disc!!! Great debut, awesome sound and great songs. Is 'Don't walk away' the best AOR song ever? Well, if you ask me I might just say yes. I've always said the most important thing to me in a good song is sincerity - that's what makes a song great, and Alan does not sing this song, but rather he bleeds it. Amazing song, great album. Highly recommended.

Geoff your an Aussie right ? Do you know about a band called Tyrant with an album named Thunder from down under. Is this any good ?

From: AOR freaky Date: March 7, 2005 at 12:18
Strange you like this, Geoff ! Very good AOR indeed, but not classic ! And there are keys too, mate ! But not as good as on the real big ones !

From: Geoff Date: March 7, 2005 at 19:23
Erik- I once had a Tyrant CD, though it wasn't that one and I actually thought it was very bad. Just average hard rock done quite poorly, but I cannot comment on the one you mention there. AOR Freaky- you might note that I like a lot of good AOR bands like this, Outside Edge, Sahara, Aidean, Alias, Signal (If you call that AOR), and I like keys in moderation too. Here, the rest of the band are very solid and keys only assist the sound, not dominate it. I agree, very good disc, 1 stunning song.

From: Erik Date: March 8, 2005 at 4:11
Geoff appearantly this is a new release (2004) by Tyrant. Got some execellent reviews but cant remeber where i read it. Keep me posted tho should you ever stumble across on it.

From: Rafo Phoenix Date: March 16, 2005 at 19:58

From: Rafo Phoenix Date: March 16, 2005 at 20:01
Hey AOR Freaky this is a classic, i agree totally with Geoff, Highly recommended!!!.

From: Melodiker Date: August 1, 2006 at 19:12

From: coverdale14 Date: February 20, 2008 at 12:54
WHAT MORE CAN I SAY! THIS IS THE BEST CHANGE OF HEART ALBUM, AND ONE OF THE AOR IN THE HISTORY. "SWEAT IT OUT" OPENS WITH STRENGTH WITH THAT TOUCH THAT ONLY CHANGE OF HEART DO, "THE FIRE IS GONE" THIS IS PURE AOR, GREAT VOCALS, NICE AOR RIFFS, AND A PERFECT KEYBOOARD SOLO LOVE IT. "A PLACE IN YOUR HEART" THIS IS AN AOR ANTHEM, A JEWEL PERFECT SONG. "WHEN IT'S LOVE" TOTALLY MELODIC. "SOMEONE ELSE" ONE OF MY FAVS, BUT IT'S DIFFICULT BECAUSE ALL THE ALBUM IT'S PERFECT, AMAZING ENDING, PURE MAGIC. "

From: coverdale14 Date: March 24, 2008 at 14:28
"ALWAYS BE THE ONE" CONTINUES THE PERFECT MELODY, "UNTIL THE END OF TIME" I LOVE THAT SEMI-ACOUSTIC BALLAD, "DON'T WALK AWAY" IS PURE AOR, WHAT A RIFF, PERFECT VOCALS, TO GEOFF I THOUGHT IS ONE OF THE BEST AOR SONGS, "ALL I NEED" IS AWESOME,"STRANGER" THAT MED-TEMPO SONG WOW!, "SOMEBODY TO LOVE" THE ALBUM CLOSE WITH A KILLER BALLAD, WHAT MORE CAN I SAY,I'M THOUGHT I'M THE #1 FAN OF THE BAND, AND I HOPE ONE DAY TO SEE THEM PLAYLIVE IN MY COUNTRY. LONG LIVE TO CHANGE OH HEART.

From: darobinson Date: March 31, 2009 at 18:14
Since the decline of this type of music back in the early ninety's I must say that this is one of the best releases since that fall. This release has it all. Superb musicians and great song writing. A must have for any true AOR fan.

From: 123charpenay Date: May 3, 2009 at 16:41

From: rick kerch vzla Date: June 14, 2010 at 20:53
Amazing album !...closer 2 perfection!..a record that has no waste if u are a fan of the most sophisticated sounds..elegance and power combined as one!..no exageration at all my friends, these kind of albums put your love to AOR and melodic rock right where it belongs!..."Sweart It Out" is a hard keyboard driven song..then basically from track 2 to 8 are faves ones,"A Place In Your Heart","When It's Love","Someone Else" which is a mega ballad,"Until The End Of Times" and so on...a must have!.98/100

From: DonDefo Date: May 2, 2011 at 7:44
Yeah! Pure but powerful AOR production! They should have been added to firefest setlist this year!
