| Mega debut cd from the Finnish band. Similar in places to Journey, Toto also with a slight progressive twist ala Asia/ Saga. One of the top debut albums in recent years and a definate must have for the collection.

| Simple. All Journey and Steve Perry fans need this album now. This album is a smooth, soft-rocking, pure AOR monster. Urban Tale are the smoothest group of musicians to pass me by in a very long time! Their singer is clearly Steve Perry's long lost brother. Just superb. This is very soft easy going AOR, just as both Steve Perry's solo records have been. The big surprise is that this matches the quality of those releases and could easily have been a major label release in any era 1985 or now.

| One Day7 has to be one of the best pwoer ballads ever. Like Andrew says in his review of this at www.melodicrock.com, if this would have been released to radio in the mid 80's, it would had been a worldwide smash hit. King of hearts is also fantastic.

| With so few pure AOR albums being released anymore it's no wonder that most people from this community latch onto any release in this genre. Even now bands like Jaded Heart and Frontline have abandoned their AOR roots it's left to the Scandi's to come up with the goods, and this a top class debut. Great melodies and choruses within these keyboard-driven tracks make this one prety essential. 'King of Hearts' and 'One Day' are the highlights, but consistency is high. 8.5/10.

| Hey Tim (2) - sorry buddy, I don't really think Jaded Heart or Frontline have abandoned thier roots at all. To me, they're the two best bands of music today (off the top of my head) and get better as time goes on. They've always played melodic hard rock, just play it better now. Unfortunately for this one I might draw critisism, but I actually hated this one too (sorry Wotty!). I really dislike the songwriting style and was very unhappy I paid full price for it. IMO, this is bad AOR - IMO!

| Geoff-This is definately my fave AOR cd of the last few years, as i said in my first post. I play this all the time, Love Kimmo' s voice, love the songs and the arrangements, and 'One Day' is one of the most impressive ballads i've heard in a long time.

| I can understand why there are so different point of views about this band.If you like Journey you love these guys but...if you don't like so much Journey you can consider this a decent,average or also bad disc indeed.I never liked Journey so much(except last 2 cd,not all anyway!)but I must say that I quite appreciate this Urban Tale debut,some songs contains really amazing tunes,IMO.Their second release is forgettable and very very average....

| Just a quick addition to this. If you love this disc as much as I do, then try to snag the Jap version with the bonus track 'Hold On' which is a brilliant track, very reminiscent of Toto. The perfect album just got better (if that's possible). Complete heaven on a 5' disc.

| One of my favourite AOR albums. Really impressed by the guitarwork of mr.Erkka Korhonen (listen to the "runaway train" solo!!!) It's such a shame he's no longer a part the band. Anyway, I can guarantee to anyone that enjoys AOR that this album is a jewel. 95/100

| This is ok, but not classic. Either of Steve Perry's solo cd's blows this away. The sound here seems somewhat disjointed to me. And, like many, many newer AOR/melodic rock acts, I feel a big lack of feeling. And by that, I mean...where is the groove? If you are a musician you will know what I am talking about. It's in the songwriting as well as the playing. Give it some feeling....some groove. I feel the same thing with the newer Journey releases, too. You want groove, pop in Raised On Radio. Good groove, good feeling.

| Sorry folks but this AOR release is lacking a very important element. ROCK! I find this release dull and boring. Is the self titled Heartplay like this or does it rock?
