This one slipped under the radar a little with so many good quality AOR releases this year, but if you like smooth pop/rock with catchy choruses and don't mind a lot of variety then you should enjoy this. The songwriting is excellent, this album really grows with repeated spins. "Where the River.." is brilliantly written, and "Angel" is by some distance the best ballad he's ever penned. None of the first 3 tracks really do much for me, but after that it's quality stuff all the way. 7.5/10.

the fisrt solo was great but this is more pop than mtv. he should go back to do some great stuff with crown of thorns instead. there you get his voice with powerful chorus and rock. don't buy

I heard Crown of Thorns are playing in New York on August 27th at CBGBs! http://www.brooklynvegan.com/archives/2005/06/best_thing_abou.html they have not been announced yet.

good selection of pop rock songs by jean, which i really enjoyed.all instruments played by him ,all songs composed by him and the result is a melodic pop rock release in the jean beauvoir way.i can see a quality in the songs from the first spin ,but there s not any hit that could make the difference.ok release
