Not bad, but also not outstanding. John is a typically AOR artists that always delivers decent to good AOR stuff, but never makes a real masterpiece. It's all well done, but nothing spectacular. Good, but it misses that extra touch. |

A agree with you AOR freaky. Good records but not that little extra. I think Man With A Vision is his best record, btw. |

John Parr's career nosedived with this release. You figure "St. Elmo's Fire" would have guaranteed his follow-up project some level of success, but 5 (maybe 6) people seemed to care. Then again, rewarming a song off your last record ("Don't Leave Your Mark on Me" Mark II) and throwing on a 6-month old song from the "American Anthem" soundtrack ("Two Hearts") gave "Running" all the freshness of day-old donuts. |

A variety of sounds and influences throughout the album, but what it all boils down to is that John Parr is one talented individual. His style is unique, an unquestionable vocal flavor played over some hi-tech musicianship provided by some of Europe/UK's best players. |

Much more polished/Hi-Tech than the debut, and probably non the better for it. I preffered the rawer sound of the debut. Nevertheless, this is still a 'goodie'. Material wise there are 2 standouts here - 'Two Hearts' is an excellent smooth AOR track, whilst 'Scratch' completely rips off the guitar riff & sound of 'Two Tribes' by Frankie Goes To Hollywood (it is bloody great though). The rest is competent, immaculately played/ Produced AOR. |

It must be probably just taste, but unlike comments above, I take with me his first two records rather than thousands of aor cds out there. My humble opinion is that this togheter with his first one, are really amazing!(a bit light weight here and there but AMAZING!) Could sound as Robert Tepper's s/t at times, with a lot of hi-tech influences, but for me, the sax on the opening and the closing songs is stunning, don't miss it. A must have. |

I have to agree with Arnold. This ain't bad at all. The first track is a nice catchy opener, 'Don't worry 'bout me' is beautiful AOR, 'King of lies' is horrible, the title track is solid, 'Don't leave your mark' has a strong chorus, 'Blame it on the radio' is a terrible music experience, but a great chorus anyway, and 'Steal you away' is a great AOR closer and album highlight. The rest is awful, but this is, IMO, a lot better than other so called AOR classics. |

Not a bad disc at all. This contains some nice little tunes like Two Hearts, Don't Worry 'Bout Me, Runnin' The Endless Mile, Blame It On The Radio and Steal You Away. It's a pity the song The Minute I Saw You from Three Men And a Baby isn't included but I ripped it from the DVD of the film. Great song. If anyone wants it I can email it to you. Just message me on the forum. |

Very good AOR, hi-tech release. I like the voice of Parr and the hi-tech touch with excellent sax in some tracks. The best songs here are "Two Hearts", "Don't worry bout me" one of the best, "Running the endless mile", the awesome "Don't Leave Your Mark On Me" with a killer chorus, and "Blame It on the Radio". 88/100 |
