From: ARXONTAS Date: January 27, 2003 at 9:44
Terrana arrived in Los Angeles in the summer of 1987. Within three months of his arrival he landed a gig with Japanese Polydor recording artist Kuni. The record featured Jeff Scott Soto on vocals (ex Yngwie Malmsteen) and a short tour of Japan was organized to support the project. The last show of the tour was filmed for national broadcast in Japan by N.H.K. Television. The band had a very short run of success before breaking up in the spring of 1988.

From: ARXONTAS Date: January 27, 2003 at 9:46
Luckily for Terrana he received a phone call from some of his old band mates asking him to join a new band they had formed with the help of a new label WTG/CBS records, shortly after arriving back home from his Japanese tour. The band was called Beau Nasty and oddly enough contained members of Zillion and Hanover Fist.

Good album, one of the best albums in which Soto was involved.

From: M. Allen Date: January 31, 2003 at 0:54
Kickin' guitars and a killer lead vocalist (the always-awesome Jeff Scott Soto) make this a good example of what made the late 80s hard rock scene so great. If you're looking for hot hooks, cool riffs, and loud vocals, this band's got 'em, combined with production values that are superior to many albums that were released around the same period. So, if you don't have this CD in your collection, take immediate action to rectify your oversight.

From: 9 CHAMPIONS A 1 Date: February 10, 2003 at 17:28

From: TIM Date: March 14, 2003 at 21:47
Like a more aggressive Dokken. Recommended!

From: HairMetalManiac Date: April 11, 2003 at 1:33
I agree with Tim, this definitely reminds me of a heavier Dokken; even with hints of Def Leppard here and there...I really dig this album a lot...Kuni on guitars and Jeff Scott Soto on vocals are a killer combo...My favs on this have to be the title track and 'Strangers in the Night' but I really do dig the whole album...highly recommended...Produced and arranged by Dana Strum...Rock on!!

From: Blaze Date: October 22, 2003 at 10:58
I think it's been Jeff's best band.

I hardly suggest the 'Reborn Classics' cd press featuring the ultra rare 'Panther' EP. A must have for all US METAL fans.

From: Dreamhunter Date: February 7, 2004 at 10:33
Does this sounds like JSS's earlier work with yngwie ? 'Heavy Metal' or 'Hair metal' here ?? thanks ...

From: AGNAR Date: March 9, 2004 at 5:28
hello, Dreamhunter! it's a good question: the Kuni one sounds like a perfect mix of them (a little Yngwie, a little hair), while the Panther EP sounds pretty H/M influenced by Fifth Angel, Manowar and Judas Priest. I highly recommend it. That's all

From: Rycheage Date: March 13, 2004 at 18:00
What we get here is typical L.A melodic heavy rock, somewhere between the commercialism of bands such as King Kobra or Dokken and the heavy handedness of Rough Cutt or Keel.

I have just got what seems a quite limited edition with the Panther Ep included as bonus tracks. Awesome rockin tunes with JSS in fine form. Recommended

El Kuni este toca bien, aunque como digo suena al típico heavy guitarrero made in USA,y algunas canciones salvables:Strangers In The Night,Shine On,Memories y el tema título.

From: MERADONA Date: October 24, 2004 at 4:55
run2u escucha el lost in the translation y ya veras como sera uno de tus favoritos.

JSS -----> GOD!!!!!!! say no more

From: xxxavi Date: December 17, 2005 at 16:52

From: xxxavi Date: December 17, 2005 at 16:55

From: metalhead4life Date: August 22, 2006 at 21:15
Just like M. Allen and HairMetalManiac said - smokin' album with great vocals, guitars, and all around musicianship. Highly recommended!! Also was just reissued so do yourself a favor and go buy it!

From: SangreAzulForever Date: November 6, 2006 at 18:14
Oh! what a great discovery!! One of the best rock singers ever meets a great guitar riffer. I thing it´s similar to the late Loudness sound (Soldier of Fortune). That´s the way music should be done. 9/10.

From: juan carlos Date: September 11, 2007 at 14:41
Me quedo con "Strangers in the Night" "Shine On" "Lookin for Action" y "Reckless". 8/10

From: Jimmy D Date: April 19, 2008 at 20:51
Just recently picked this up a few weeks ago...and...wow! To me, it initially reminded me a lot of a heavier sounding version of the Vinnie Vincent Invasion "All Systems Go" album...but with Jeff Scott Soto on vocals instead of Mark Slaughter. Definitely can also see the comparison to Dokken that a few people previously mentioned. Great stuff. Great vocals, excellent guitar, solid songs (Strangers In The Night & Eyes Of A Stranger are my 2 favorites...so far). I really wish that I would have picked this up back in 1988 when I was 14, because this would have been one of my favorite albums.

From: 123charpenay Date: February 7, 2014 at 16:25
sensational melodic hard rock record.the japan guitarist kuni recruited one of the best singer of the world:mr jeff scott soto himself.so you have a big advantage.how many hard rock records was ruined by a weak singer (white sister ,blue blud ect ect...)the list is without end....with mr soto this is the top.more when with a so sensational singer, you have some good songs with great musicians you are in aor heaven.this record is in this case.forget track 3 an instrumental who have absoluty no interest only for mr kuni who play like a child with his guitar.the rest is top class melodic hard rock.irresistible songs who stay in your brain for a long time.no bonus track in the japan import.
