Rush's "Moving Pictures" is like AC/DC's "Back in Black." You know every song and they will play 1/2 this album in concert. Why not? Hell with tunes like Limelight, YYZ, Tom Sawyer, and Red Barchetta - might as well play the good stuff! Rush raised the bar for themselves on this one (and a lot of other bands). Definitely one of the best rock albums of all time.

Great album. I heard a lot of things about RUSH and which of their albums could be the best. I say this is their best. The best songs are: TOM SAWYER, RED BARCHETTA, and LIMELIGHT (I love that song, and so should you!)

"Moving Pictures" is one of my favorite Rush albums. It is a solid release from the muscular, pounding drums that open the album with "Tom Sawyer" to the complex instrumental interplay that closes "Vital Signs." There isn't a moment of filler here at all, making "Moving Pictures" a tight album.

Still every bit as intricate in design but a step away from their prog-rock movement. More polished production & radio freindly & sadly the last of the glory era for this mighty power trio. Includes some of Alex Lifeson's most "Heavy Metal"-like riffs. Only spots of great songwriting follow this album, but ALWAYS great musicianship. A stylistic change toward "new wave" kinda lost me as a rocker, but I still immensely enjoy seeing this band perform live! Alex, Geddy & Neil are IT!!! The real deal

What i cant understand is that this album is almost 25 years old and the production is still light years ahead of what is being done today.Any would b producers need to listen to this album long and hard before they start twisting the knobs!!!

The climax. Never before and after did they get it to the point that way. Never boring, never disappointing, just seven jewels in the great wide world of rock music. It´s like Beethoven´s 5th. You know, I like the 3rd and the 9th, but he gets to the point with the 5th. Also the album, where all kinds of rush fans and their different opinions unite.

Jaspouile put it so eloquently by saying,"Have it or die". My feelings exactly with one more piece of sentiment; When you've passed on have your family place this one in your coffin with you. Great work of music.

A classic one with great songs such as "Tom Sawyer","YYZ"(when is performed live is simply a blast of a song with that traditional Neil Peart drum solo in the middle of it),"Limelight","The Camera Eye" & "Vital Signs"...enjoyable and commercial Prog album...86/100
