| To this day, I still receive a shiver along my spine from Lifeson's solo just before the fade in Mission... The man packs more emotion into that 10 to 15 seconds than most guitar players can manage in an entire album...

| A ray of optimism begins to shine through Peart's skeptical lyrical manifold, as Rush indeed "turn the page" with this release. This is not as grim as the last 3 or 4 releases, and the brighter production and sparkling use of keyboards compliment the more hopeful visions.

| Great lp. A total package. I feel this is the last great Rush lp. Whatever came after "Hold Your Fire" is pointless. After this lp I approach every new release with extreme caution. But this one's a keeper!

| For their 5/28 show in Charlotte NC Rush chose the popular "Force Ten" to represent this awesome album. That song is a good illustration of who Rush were as a band in the aftermath of Power Windows and poised to move into a new decade (along w/ the Presto album). Their sound continued to evolve (as always) without taking drastic strides and thus confusing their fans. One of my personal favorites and a modern classic of prog rock!

| This album might be the most 80's sounding of their 80's album, from the synthesizers to the electric drums. "Force Ten" is a nice synth-rock tune and "Time Stand Still" is one of their best pop songs. But outside of "Mission" the rest is pretty boring. 5/10

| Me gusta mucho Rush, casi fanatico, este disco es critado por ser muy blando y de sonido casi popero, pero se encuentran quiza los mejores pasajes de Lee, donde mejor toca, mejor canta y mas melodias que nunca, ademas, en un disco de Rush, nunca vas a salir desncantado, todo lo que hacen es oro, y este disco , no es la excepcion, a mi me gusta muchisimo se los recomiendo especialmente a los amantes de la epoca melodica de Rush. Una banda como pocas 9/10

| Holy words dear thejbl....I think the same thing...my fave monster band of all time!!!!!!!!I must only add that in death metal the same thing is for Death/individual thought patterns album!

| Great album,one of the best from RUSH,amazing melodies,guitar solos and bass lines, all in itīs place,this is the most closer to AOR sound,Time stand Stll,Prime Mover,Lock and Key,Mission are the best examples of music perfection,RUSH rules...

| Completely in agreement with lalo r.o.c.k.!..catchy and easy melodies but keeping it prog at times... i think this album was made 4 the masses,mostly to cover the type of public who likes progressive with poppy touches and AOR..anyway the best tracks 4 me are "Hold Your Fire",Force Ten,"Time Stand Still"(this one is just amazing!),"Prime Mover" and "Turn The Page"(this one also is a killer song!).Pretty good stuff by band that persists through the years offering just what they know how to do best...great music!.96/100
