The 2nd of 5 classic Cheap Trick releases one after the other. and a short 32 minute kick in the teeth it is. Brilliant Pop/ Rock tunes throughout, although i think the 'Live Budokan' versions of some of the tracks top these, especially the version of 'I Want You To Want Me'. Essential |

This one is essential in every collection...So brilliantly carried out & way ahead of its time. All songs have great hook lines and are very memorable. It's mostly kick ass rock'n'roll with a very original sound. Zanders voice is so clean and pitch-perfect that it's almost terrifying...A stylistic description would be impossible but I often think of Slade when listening to Cheap Trick... |

Though the debut was killer, this is my favorite album of theirs. The sound is a little more polished and lighter, but the melodies are just incredible. An album with songs such as "Big Eyes", "Downed", "Southern Girls", and "So Good To See You" make this an easy 10/10. The worst song on here would probably be the original version of "I Want You To Want Me". |

After reading thru the song list for In Color(which I no longer have),I realized that I had forgotten how good In Color is, how great Cheap Trick were and how very excellent they were as songwriters. While Heaven Tonight is my fav. Cheap Trick, In Color is such a close second that it's almost too clost to call.Big Eyes, Downed,Clock Strikes Ten,Come On, Come On-what excellent songs!Jez is right, this is one of 5 classics in a row from CT,can't go wrong with any, but I say start with the first 3! |

Can't forget this also...as the next three Albums, Cheap Trick are One of the most under-rated bands today!!Their later stuff was... well no producer new what to do with them. Go back to Tom Werman or Jack Douglas...they'll give them the sound they need!!!9.5/10 |

Cheap Trick went on its second album in a more commercial way ..."I Want You To Want Me" was a huge single of the band back then and still is mandatory at any Cheap Trick concert set list...tracks 1,2,3,5,7,9 & 10 are also strong cuts in here...enjoyable stuff...85/100 |

My favorite tune on this one is "Downed." This and Heaven Tonight are my all time favorite Cheap Trick albums. |
