Why are there not more Cheap Trick albums on here, I had to put this here myself - Very surprising as this band has inspired so many bands past and present. Anyways this was the delayed 4th studio album after the success of the 'Budokan' album and my personal favourite. Some absolute classic 'Trick' moments on this disc, too numerous to mention. Now i will have to put all the others up here aswell.

Good on ya Jez. Cheap trick rule and this is one of my very favourite albums by them. The sound is huge, the songs are inspired and the band are rocking at their best.

This is Cheap Trick's best album. It is truly a masterpiece. "Dream Police" is one of their best songs ever. "Gonna Raise Hell" and "Need Your Love" are killer extended jams. "Voices" is a beautiful ballad. "I'll Be With You Tonight" is an underrated gem. Tom Petersson makes his only lead vocal appearance on the awesome "I Know What I Want." If you're interested in starting a Cheap Trick collection, this album would be a great start.

A GREAT, GREAT album from these guys.....Classic!! A great ballad(Voices), some killer extended guitar solos(Gonna raise hell, Need your Love), and a pop masterpiece(Way of the World). HMMM...Wonder if Metallica got some ideas for S&M from all the orchestration on the album? Just a thought......

Another classic. It smacks of a band at the absolute peak of their powers. Rick Nielsen's songwriting is flawless. Great band chemistry. Robin Zander's angel/ devil vocal shifts...and Bun E Carlos on drums. What more could you ask? Rock doesn't get much better than this. Hard to believe they would record an album as bad as "The Doctor" just 7 years later!!

The last classic Cheap Trick album. This one is their most polished by now, maybe a little too much. "Dream Police" and "Voices" are two of their catchiest songs, and even the longer tracks such as "Gonna Raise Hell" and "Need Your Love" are strong. 9/10

Probably the best Cheap Trick ever released. Great stuff indeed !!! I love it !

From: scott Date: November 12, 2005 at 17:26
I just want to agree with the guy that said, "...the absolute peak of their powers". I agree. This CD is absolutely brilliant. If this is not the band's finest moment, it certainly ranks among the top. There is not a song on here that isn't a classic. Does anyone else thing that "Gonna Raise Hell" sounds a bit like something KISS might have recorded? I can almost imagine Gene Simmons singing that song, blood dripping down his sweaty white face! Ahhh, gotta love the 1970's!

A new Expanded & remastered version has just been released, with four bonus tracks: 'The House Is Rockin' (Live), 'Way Of The World' (Live), 'Dream Police' (No Strings Version) & 'I Know What I Want' (Live). The remastering is great and has added some extra juice to an already fabulous album. Fetch Rover!!!!

This is the Cheap Trick opus masterpiece you have been waiting for!!! Finally, all the elements come together for the perfect studio album. In the past there have been songs that were, let's say weaker on Cheap Trick albums. Not this time. This one kicks ass start to finish and is by far the best in their studio catalog to date IMO. "Dream Police", "Gonna Raise Hell", "I'll Be With You Tonight", and the killer ballad "Voices" are all just stunning. The band at their very best!!!

From: erik Date: April 30, 2009 at 15:32
For me their very very best album. Absolute cracking cd. Cheap Trick in absolute blistering (writing) form. Bought the album back in the days. Only 14 at the time but damn did i like it Need your Love, Need your Love, Need your Love, Need your Loveeeee The perfect CT album. 100/100

Oh guys i know that for some people this release is one of the band's best ones but not for me ...in fact i've found it a simple one if you compare it with their previous releases that also are just decent ones except "In Color" that rocked good IMHO...i own the vinyl so i have no idea about the bonus tracks which are basically live versions of some of the songs of the main album..."Way Of The World","Gonna Raise Hell" & "I'll Be With You Tonight" are the ones i liked but nothing else...55/100

i really cant think of any other band that can combine so good so many different things!CHEAP TRICK is a unique band and every release of them is remarkable!Dream Police is one of their best known ,but im not sure one of their best!of course it is of the highest level in terms of musicianship, hooks and performing ,but i can t find any big songs like in their next one for example!dont get me wrong i love this one too ,but i d love the songs to be bigger!
