I don't normally put CD singles on the site here, but apparently this band never put out a full-length CD, just this one single. It's a shame, because I like their sound...

The potential heard on this single, especially the title song, is enough to make you weep that the band didn't record a full-length CD. This is quality melodic hard rock and deserves to be heard by any fan of the genre. They had a cool name & a great song yet still couldn't catch a break; just goes to show you how much grunge changed the musical landscape of the early 90s. Pick this one up if you can find it; you'll love the songs & hate it that there's not more of them.

These guys without a doubt, had what it takes to be a popular band!! Great melodic rock... "In the name of love" is a killer tune, and "City queen" pleasantly reminds me of early Danger Danger!! One more band that should have made it big, but wasn't given the chance!! Danger Danger fans (YOU MUST HEAR CITY QUEEN!!) Two words... KICK ASS!!

Amazing stuff. Like what New England would've sounded like if they entered the arena 10 years later. Not surprisingly, John Fannon (New England) is the producer here. Only 2 songs, but what a couple of songs they are! Glistening AOR in the style of the first two Bon Jovi CDs, Hybrid Ice's "No Rules" or Danger Danger (as Raindropz accurately mentioned). "City Queen" reminds me of D2's "Under the Gun" with a little more AOR influence. "In the Name of Love" is just as good, with KILLER harmonies!

Wow! Is all i can say about this album! It's unbelievable that this band didn't make it bigtime. I have this 2 track cd and listen to it on a daily basis. I love the dreamy sound of the bass guitar mixed with the powerful voice of the singer. Overall, i give this album a 10 out of 10 stars!

I recently bought this CD off ebay cause i friend told me to check it out. I was amazed with the potential of this band. I just wonder why they never hit it big. The song City Queen made me break out my old Jane Fonda work out tapes and get myself back into aerobics. A must buy!!

I just love everything about this band. They had the looks (especially the bass player) the sound and the talent to go very far. It's just too bad they couldn't catch a break. I love the cheesy lyrics and the sappy messages but most of all the name... Last Cry... Brilliant! I think a website dedicated to the memory of this band is in order.

I saw these guys live playing with Boston in 93. I have a music video that they came out with for the song "In the Name of Love" but was never released. The guitar player and drummer formed a band named Syndicate that has toured Brazil a few times. I have lots of Last Cry stuff, they toured where I lived way up in ME and thier song went number 1. Let me know if anyone is interested in buying some live tapes or music videos of the guys. lokibleeds@hotmail.com see ya

I love this Last Cry CD! More importantly, I love Mike Previti, who was the lead singer at the time this demo came out. He's still out there and making amazing music. His website is www.mikepreviti.com - definitely worth giving a listen to!

This is really a killer AOR CD-Singel! Both tracks have that pure 80's sound to it, with lots of keyboards. This would appeal to fans of early Danger Danger and Bon Jovi. "City queen" has lot of similaritys to "I'd die for you" from Bon Jovi's "Slippery when wet" album.Highly recommended!

Wow. I was really impressed with this one (only 2 songs though). I wish they would put out a full length release. These guys have the sound to make a great album. Very much like early Danger Danger. I was hesitant to pick this up since it's a single, but man I'm glad I did.

Great up beat melodic rock cd single. Use to hear In the Name of Love on B106 out of Nashua, NH back in the early 90's. Took forever to find the cd but finally did at a leominster, MA Strawberry's. Very much like an early Danger Danger and early Bon Jovi. Jeff, you guys need to record or do a couple shows together again! If you can find this gem, buy it!

This cd is too good to be limited to just two songs. One can only imagine if this had been a full length release. What potential! Of course given the year it came out it probably wouldn't have done anything but we could be enjoying it as we do the two track disc. Both tracks are great, and as mentioned above the sound is Bon Jovi mixed w/Danger Danger. I found it for a buck and boy was it ever worth it!
