Pretty good release, not as good as their Grand Design album, but still worth a listen. I must say that Robert Warnqvist the guitarist is absolutely amazing!!

Vaya pedazo de disco. Mi favorita es "The reason I live". Espero que aparezca pronto el siguiente album "Grand Design", me extraña que todavía no lo hayan puesto.

Fans of that European melodic metal sound would be foolish not to pick this album up. Anyone who enjoys Wicked Sensation, Speed, Talisman, and bands of that nature will appreciate the cool vocals, excellent guitars, tasty hooks, and sharp choruses DAMNED NATION displays here. The band offers no real surprises, content to play straight-forward melodic hard rock and to play it well, which should satisfy most fans of the genre. Of course, that's just my opinion...

I just heard a few tracks off this cd. So far, I'm very impressed. Great tunes and the vocalist has a David Coverdale/Eric Martin vibe to him. I snagged the cd off eBay for a mere $3. Hopefully the rest is as good as the 4 I've heard so far.

This is the second Damned Nation album I think and the first for Z Records. These guys know how to craft a catchy hard rock tune, with plenty of melody in there for AOR fans also. Their last album was more than 3 years back and it's nice to see the guys back again. Especially for fans of European hard rock and especially Scandinavian hard rock. There are AOR moments on this album, hooks and harmonies aside, but hard rock is the name of the game here.

A good album from the guys, one which follows up their debut nicely. Heavier in most places than that debut and stronger songs, but the production probably lets it all down a little.

I'm not always a big fan of euro-rock...but wow are the melodies on this one awesome. Calling Your Loveline is my favorite.

To me this almost sounds like a European vesion of Dokken. A band like this in America probably wouldn't do too well but from what i understand these guys do very well over there.

This record dropped out of nowhere, and I couldn't have been more surprised. One of the greatest albums by an unknown band in years, Scandi AOR Galore!!!

What a frellin' bomb! I was honestly shocked at how wonderful this cd is! I picked it up for $2 just for kicks and after 2 songs I went an ordered their follow up Grand Design for $25. When you find this cd, BUY IT! You will love it! Especially those who like that Whitesnake/Mr.Big/XYZ rock. I honestly can't describe how wonderful this album is. They've got a new one due out in Nov and I can't wait. I only wish it would have had better production finish, but it ain't bad. Damn, what a band!!

I never found this album that exciting...The quality of the material differs too much. First they wanna sound like 70s Hard Rock, then they wanna play AOR and suddenly they try to play power metal...Well, maybe I'm a bit hard in DAMNED NATION here but for me it was on "Grand Design" they really found their niche.

Killer second disc, and where they established their half melodic / half straight ahead hard rock sound. 'When Truth Becomes a Lie' is a melodic gem and introduces a delicious guitar sound used many times throughout the album. 'Road of Desire' is another gem, 'Calling Your Loveline' is an album highlight - a heavy rocking delight, 'I Got What It Takes' is an AOR-ish melodic rocker, 'The Reason I Live' is my pick of the album - sensational melodic hard rock. Overall, a great heavy melodic CD.

In my opinion this is one of the best melodic rock albums ever. Robert Warnqvist plays some amazing licks on the guitar. If you like melody with some punch this is a must have!!!!

This album was recommended to me by my friend who is deeply stuck in aor of early 80s, so somehow, I expected another Boston. After seeing the cover I "switched to" a power/speed territory, but the reality is as usual somewhere in the middle. This is a good piece of European hard n'heavy, IMO it's halfway between Harem Scarem and Pink Cream 69. Like T-Bone and B.Grimm say the vocalist is D.Coverdale, E.Martin, T.Ilous alike. 80/100.
