How could 5 ratings give this album a "4.40"? Great AOR. "Going Crazy" is nothing but a perfect song.

From: Great Dane Date: May 8, 2003 at 21:24
Zinatra, there are some clowns, giving ratings 3-4-20 times, just to put a cd 'down'. Dont think of it, if you like it, its good for you.

I loved this CD. This band keeps getting better. I found Road of Desire for cheap on ebay and gave it a try. It was the best $2 I've spent there yet. Then I found out about their first and grabbed that one too and was very impressed. I saw that someone added this one to the site and found it on nehrecords.com and ordered it. I got it a few days ago and it's easily their best effort yet. Hiding Away From The World is my favorite track so far but the rest are close behind. Very recommended CD.

From: Teo_3 Date: June 6, 2003 at 20:31
Thinks are easy for this cd,just pick the first three tracks and compare them to any hard rock release the last 5 yeart or more and you'll see they will whip them out."Hiding Away From The World" is my favorite track and the whole album is very good for a 2000 release.Nice guitar work as well. Can't wait for their new release with Matti Alfonzetti, should be a killer. Well worth its price.

From: Rycheage Date: June 15, 2003 at 2:04
The best tracks of the album are certainly the first 5, but overall this is an improvement again on the last album and therefore the guy's best yet. A better production and mix is coupled with better songs and a more melodic style that really suits the band and vocalist Thomas. Any fan of the band is going to be happy with this, as will any fans of European melodic hard rock.

BRILLIANT CD! DESPERATE CALL AND GOING CRAZY ARE MY FAVOURITES.THIS BAND ARE THE BEST IN SWEDEN.THIS IS MY ALL TIME FAVOURITE CD.

From: André Date: January 26, 2004 at 10:34
This cd is almost perfect, a 98 score. Great instrumentals, awesome vocals (Kelly Hansen meets Jamie Howe w/ a Coverdale twist), excellent production, the only negative point is the last track, just don't match the others...

From: Lynchomaniac Date: June 6, 2004 at 11:19
Great album but it couldn't match Road of desire

From: Scandinavia Date: June 23, 2004 at 10:15
This band is mediocre at best... I'd really love them if they could only make up their minds... A way too obvious mixture of Mr. Big, Freak Kitchen & Nocturnal Rites...

From: Date: January 13, 2005 at 6:18
I think this is awesome stuff too. "Hiding from the world" is the greatest tune, but the rest follow close. Brilliant! 9.7/10

A little suprised with Scandanavia's comments. To each their own, but that's a little harsh for a band this excellent. 'Stonecold Woman' is the perfect heavy rocking opener, 'Hiding From The World' is heavy again, and a highlight, 'Heart On The Run' is a nice melodic touch, 'Fortune-Teller' is like the first 2 and another killer, 'Desperate Call' is one of my favourite melodic hard rock songs ever, 'Eyes Of A Stranger' is a delight, 'Going Crazy' is again melodic hard rock perfection, cont.

From: Geoff Date: January 20, 2005 at 3:08
...'Love Reaction' is also nicely melodic and in 'Dance In Darkness' they save one of the best for last - truly sensational melodic hard rock track... and just going through the CD like that I realised this is, IMO, by far their best album, very consistent and basically, a fucking gem! Highly recommended.

From: juan carlos Date: May 14, 2005 at 19:51
excellent cd for me beto! the guitar work is marvellous and the vocal too! the production is quite good, what else can U ask? haha.. i like all the songs! there are no fillers here! 9/10.

From: SangreAzulForever Date: September 14, 2006 at 10:27
What an incredible melodic hard rock make those guys! The voice is similar to David Coverdale, the songs are very melodic and catchy too, I´d like to highlight "Fortune-Teller", "Love Reaction" as my faves.

From: Helix Date: September 14, 2006 at 15:20
have to agree with the people above great melodic cd.

From: z4roxx Date: December 16, 2006 at 11:44
If I think that I did sell in the past this cd I say I am crazy.Another fantastic new band of the new century, and I can add Sweden to England as the greatest nations for melodick rock recently.Thomas Thorsen is another monster on vox, simple but solid riffs and iper melodick and catchy refrains. Now I’ll hear again also the first 2 cds’.A pity only for the last cd,too horrible to a Damned Nation release for me.

From: metalmaniac777 Date: January 26, 2007 at 15:29
It'd be a damn shame if any self-respecting melodic HR fan didn't have this one in their collection. Far & away the band's best, this is European melodic hard rock done right, with crisp, clean, cranking guitars, catchy hooks, & killer harmonies. In the grand scheme of things, this fits in nicely beside bands like Dreamhunter, Emerald Rain, and Harem Scarem, which ain't bad company to be compared to. Bottom line, this CD is designed to put melodic hard rockers into a state of frenzied pleasure.

From: erik Date: June 23, 2007 at 4:53
Indeed easily their best. Songs like Stone Cold Woman, Heart on the Run, Desperate Call, Going Crazy and Love Reaction are some of the best scandi rockers i have heard. Sheer perfection. Just the way i like my music. On some of the harder songs you can already tell the direction they were heading on their next, not good IMO, album. 8,8/10

After reading some good comments about this album i decided to track it down and well..most of the people above were right!,really a pleasant release!!!!...Thomas Thorsen sounds like Eric Martin real bad and that could be an issue to the band but apart from that, the band and songs are great!!!..."Stonecold Woman" & "Hiding From The World" are both excellent, the second one having a catchy chorus,"Heart On The Run" is a nice track but even nicer is "Desperate Call" which is an AOR mid tempo track,"Eyes Of A Stranger" rocks,"Going Crazy" is another nice & catchy mid tempo,"Scream Of Anger" is a wonderful one, like it a lot & "LOve Reaction" is another good shot...get it and enjoy!.95/100

excellent hard rock release by DAMNED NATION full of hooks and great tunes!it reminds me of GREAT KING RAT if they release nowadays !all the songs are remarkable and the whole album is very well structured !you can find many rockers and mid tempos ,but not any ballads and i d say that i was really pleased by spinning that!
