Definately my favorite from Gary. The title track is my personal favorite. Hey David, you check your emails any more? Thought you went on vacation or something. |

If you are looking for a Gary Hoey cd that contains no surf or Christmas tunes, you've finally hit the jackpot. Oh, & it rocks too! |

One of the few all instrumental albums that actually doesn't collect dust."Hocus Pocus" alone was reason enough to grab this one.Along with "Drive" and "Deep South Cafe"...(man he gets down on that solo-anyone who has heard that lead knows what i mean) |

Great Instrumental album indeed, Gary is one of the most underrated guitar players of the world IMO.. Maybe this one is the best Gary´s album of his carreer. Animal Instinct combines many styles: Blues, Southern, Country and funky too.. Versatile folks! "Hocus Pocus" is the best song, i heard it on the radio station here (Doble 9) and reminded me of Joe Satriani at first! "Drive" is excellent too, "Motown Fever" Enjoyable track or "Bert's Lounge". Recommended. 8.8/10 |
