My favorite album by Joe. The second really gets my blood going starting with "Summer Song." "Why" and "Motorcycle Driver" are also great.

Right Tim. This one hell of an album. The production is great, and hardly with a bad track. I havent heard his latest two releases. Are they any good.??

Crystal Planet had a couple of decent songs but the one after really sucked. The S/T is about the same as Crystal Planet maybe a tad better.

In my first statement it should have said "second half."

Great album...it's actually one of the best I own. There is not a single bad song on it! :-) "Friends" makes me think about mine friends, "Cryin'" almost makes me cry(I said almost,heh!!)... Pure perfection!

my national anthem...summer song

From: run2u Date: June 1, 2004 at 12:04
Maravilloso y preciosista. By far the best instrumental album of all time! A killer album from start to finish. His guitar is like a voice in itself and still sends shivers down my spine every time I listen to it. Too many standouts on this but Friends and Blue Sky Happiness are my two all-time favourite Satriani tracks.

From: Roxas Date: October 24, 2004 at 23:16
Satriani's finest moment. The most beautiful collection of guitar based melodies i've ever heard. Beyond words... This album is out of this world.

From: Joan Date: November 11, 2004 at 14:12

From: charvel man Date: November 19, 2004 at 23:19
Great record. Summer song and motorcycle driver are kick ass. Saw Joe on the G3-03 tour great show. Steve Vai did a solo that my jaw is still on the ground from. Great record but pick up the live in frisco one it's way better! Keep jamin Joe!!

The greatist guitar album of all time. Amazing... it makes you weep and makes you fly. It has everything, the stunning solo's the beautiful melodies. If Jesus Christ is an instrument he'd be Satch's guitar... and he's say..."I'm Jesus, I'm extreme...and I'm the extremist". "Friends" the ultimate anthem! This is guitar Heaven, make no mistake.

From: insane Date: April 28, 2007 at 10:15
What a pearl...another one! After "Surfing With The Aliens" this record RULES! Go Satriani!!! Summer Song blows my mind!

From: pie75 Date: August 5, 2010 at 8:50
