This is one of the best Westcoast albums ever released. Think Airplay - this is up there with it. Beautiful songs and great playing. Highly recommended. |

Very good standard of songs on here with not a sign of a filler anywhere. I wouldn't quite put it up there with the seminal Airplay disc, but it certainly is a very classy Westcoast AOR album and one I rate pretty highly. |

Nice album indeed!...very good vocals courtesy of Mr Funderburk.."Working Man" is excellent,"Don't Call My Name" is a beautiful ballad,"Lovin' Arms" a precious ballad...completely in agreement with Jez..no fillers in sight!!...Bill Champlin(Chicago),Kelly Keagy(Night Ranger) and Randy Meisner are here,so what else could possibly go wrong.Just Buy!.90/100 |

Listening to this jewel,the comment i did before is from the japanese re issue called "1989" that has some of the songs listed on this album too plus some others different...this one is a great release filled with extremely nice softies and mid tempos..."Land Of Dreams","Lovin' Arms","Working Man"(with a little touch of John Cougar Mellecamp),"My Desire","Close My Eyes" & "King Of Hearts"(great mid tempo!)...my final appreciation of it,89/100 |

very good debut for KING OF HEARTS back in 94 with excellent production ,musicianship and ok songwriting and remarkable vocals !this is the kind of music that everyone in the world can hear everywhere and that is radio friendly and pleasant to hear!highlight of course the song "my desire" with amazing guitar work !recommended |
