If you see any errors or omissions in the CD information shown above, either in the musician credits or song listings (cover song credits, live tracks, etc.), please post them in the corrections section of the Heavy Harmonies forum/message board.

The music discographies on this site are works in progress. If you notice that a particular Prism CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. Please only submit official CD releases; no bootlegs or cassette-only or LP-only releases.

EPs and CD-singles from Prism are also welcome to be added, as long as they are at least 4 songs in length.

an AOR classic!!!

Canada's answer to Supertramp! Bryan Adam's wrote songs for Prism. Ron Tabak died from head injuries suffered from a bicycle accident on December 25, 1984, near my house on the 2700-block Kingsway in front of Purdy's Chocolates. An off-duty RCMP officer brought Tabak to Burnaby General. Tabak displayed unruly behavior and was taken into custody with a brain hemmorage where he later died. A year later, the same RCMP officer committed suicide at the Burnaby RCMP headquarters. Strange but true!

any board where rules are imposed leaves much for want. Truth in posting is best had where anyone can say anything.

The songs are a mixed bag, but thankfully the good outweigh the bad. The good ones are amplified by the Adams/Vallance effort 'Don't Let Him Know', which is a great way to start things off. What a chorus! The second up 'Turn Your Radar On' is a quaint attempt at lightweight AOR which is nice enough. 'Hole In Paradise' is a great track, if not for the warblings of Small who incredibly sounds like Mark Free on this one. Strange but true.

Hey Rycheage you're right about the Mark Free comment. I remember running to the local HMV to get this on import having got into Prism a while earlier. I was so disappointed that Ron Tabak wasn't on it (I didn't know about the tragedy at the time) that I never really got into it apart from a couple of tracks at the time. But with the exception of Jailhouse I really love this album now. I still can't view this or Beat Street as Prism though for some reason..although I like em both.

Not their best effort!!

My friends and I renamed Prism to 'Management' when this was released as it seemed rather clinical and 'corporate' sounding in comparison to their earlier 'proper' albums. Having said that, it's competent, and yes, 'Don't let him know' is a killer song! Fascinating story about Ron up there Blaine...thanks for that insight.

FANTASTIC ALBUM WITH VOCALS BY HENRY SMALL. AN AWESOME BAND THAT DID NOT SHED MUCH LIGHT. REST IN PEACE RON TABAK. THESE GUYS GOT SCREWED BY NOT GETTING MUCH AIRPLAY IN THE STATES. ONE OF MY FAVORITE CANADIAN ROCK GROUPS. SONG NUMBER 1 IS A MASTERPIECE.

A very good but underrated AOR act..."Hole In Paradise" is by far the best one in here and one of the band's best song...tracks 1,7(nice),8,9(rocks!)& 10(nice) are the ones for me.80/100
