"Statutory" is great. I get a kick out of the story.

Anyone else heard this one? I think you said you did M.Allen. I know Purrfect_Kat has.

Yeah, Tim, I've heard this one. Formulaic melodic hard rock, nothing special & certainly not worth the usual asking price. Worth grabbing if you're lucky enough to find it cheap somewhere, like in a used CD shop (look for it right next to Heartless & Safire...ha-ha). But hey, that's just my opinion; plenty of guys would sell their left testicle--and possibly their right as well--on the black market to get their hands on this piece. Then again, sometimes ya feel like a nut, somtimes ya don't...

If the formula isn't broke- don't fix it. I don't think the formula is what failed the 80s- just the idiots running the show. This isn't the best cd ever by any means and I wouldn't lose a body part over it nor pay $532. Unless you live in the area though, there is a better chance of winning the lottery than finding this in a pawn shop. I don't think Heartless and Safire are the best either. I think Emergency and Jillson are better.

IMHO, JILLSON is another overrated piece. As for EMERGENCY...yep, great band. But better than HEARTLESS?? Gotta disagree with you on that one, Tim. However, had you said EMERGENCY is better than ROCK BOULEVARD, I would have backed you 110%. ROCK BOULEVARD used a formulaic sound that came across (at least to these ears) as dull & drab, but EMERGENCY, while still following the formula, created an exciting, high-energy melodic hard rock album.

I do think Emergency is better than Rock Boulevard but I believe it kicks Heartless's ass also. I like Heartless but it doesn't do as much for me. I think you like a tad heavier stuff if I remember right. Do you like Taken, Branded, or Vanity?

Oh well, we can't agree on everything. I like many of the bands you do though. If you like Sledgehammer Ledge and Erotic Suicide- Perseverance there is still hope for you- just kidding. Rock on!

This one's awesome in my book. But so are the others (i'm waiting on Jillson though) so I'm not going to bicker too much. Get this if you have a chance (without selling the house), because if you're lucky enough to find one, and you don't love it (I don't see how this is possible?), I know a lot of people who do want it, and you could always make a nice profit on it!!! 10 on my scale.

Differing opinions make the world go 'round. Besides, if we all liked exactly the same thing, we'd all be married to the same woman, and that would just be awkward, to say the least. Less-than-impressive (at least to me) bands such as ROCK BOULEVARD serve to make me more appreciative of the better bands out there. And yes, I like Sledgehammer Ledge & Erotic Suicide (both CDs, by the way), so I guess there's hope for me after all...

Apparently you're a bit more impressed with EMERGENCY than I, but that's okay: we both agree it's a darn good CD. HEARTLESS is just a little more over-the-top, which is what I prefer. And yes, I like my stuff with a hard, guitar-driven edge...melodic hard rock/metal rather than AOR/rock. As for the bands you mentioned...I've heard Branded (wasn't very impressed) but not Vanity or Taken. As long as they're better than ROCK BOULEVARD, perhaps I'll try 'em...ha-ha.

Branded, Vanity, or Taken? Are these bands with CD's out, I've never heard of them? Anyhow, I just thought I'd say I still dig this release a lot, and that I am really impressed with Emergency too, both are AWESOME... More to come.

Cult classic goes big time I guess! This one is the epitome of what collectability means. Criminally hard to find and more importantly Damn Good! The energy these guys had was unreal, not to mention the uniqueness of their sound, amazing that they weren't something during this era? There's just some shit I'll never understand I guess! These guys shoulda been something way more. Very consistent release. A 10 IMHO.

Man, you wouldn't guess this is an Indie release if you just heard a song somewhere. Stellar production - huge sound and a very good band. The songs are mostly just good hard rock, but the first one is a killer and the ballad is just beautiful. Good band, but would have had more potential to shine on a full CD. Better than Jillson? IMO, of f*cking-course! Emergency? No, not quite, IMO. Hearltess? Not sure... close one.

I have to agree with M.Allen: very average release and nothing special or unique. "Invisible Chains" and "I live for Rock-n-Roll" are the outstanding tracks. Yes, great melodies, yes, massive hooks, but if you put this release among Heartless, Emergency(US), Dare(Blood From Stone), Blue Tears-it will simply dissolve. I am not argueing who is better and who is worse: all I'm saying is that it is a good release, but nothing outstanding..just one of those bands...
