If you notice that a particular Blue Ruin CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. Too bad a major label didn't pick up these guys. The production isn't stellar but their ability to rock is what counts in my book. |

I really like their song 'Misty Eyed and Blue' and for that alone I would recommend this band. . . . . It don't come cheap so best bet is buy a cdr of it. |

For all those interested, this CD is currently back in stock on CD Baby: http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/blueruin and is available for $39.95 . That's alot better than the over $70 you'd pay on Ebay, especially considering that "Misty-Eyed & Blue" is really the only standout track here... |

Some folks have praised this CD till they're blue in the face, but that doesn't alter the fact that it's substandard hard rock. Previous posters mentioned "Misty Eyed and Blue" as the standout song, but for me, the only track saving this EP from being an utter waste of time is "Rock and a Hard Place." If you're seeking some average, ho-hum hair-metal in the vein of Dream Police or Hurricane (but nowhere near as good), then you may find it worth parting with some green to get Blue Ruin... |

Got to agree with M.Allen above. I don't really see the appeal in this release. Average hard rock. There is better, there is worse. Decent at best. |

Wow - for the price this thing is worth, very sub-par rock release here. I mean, nothing stands out to me at all. there's nothing here that you haven't heard before, and I'll tell you after listening to it once, I'm not so sure that there's any reason for me to hear it again. Nothing catchy, nothing ground-breaking about it; a VERY average at best release. 5 out of 10. |

Very very average hard rock. Done a zillion times before and much better. Crap is a big word but if you dont have this one in your collection i'd say keep it that way. |
