The music discographies on this site are works in progress. If you notice that a particular Frozen Rose CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. EPs and CD-singles from Frozen Rose are also welcome to be added, as long as they are at least 4 songs in length.

INFO: Frozen Rose was a band that existed in Southern Illinois in the early 1990's. Original and album lineup included Dave Van Hoy on drums, but Brad Dutton replaced Dave at the time of album release. Many lineup changes over a four year period, and the majority of the members went on to other projects. Mike Hancock, who actually holds the copyright for the band and album, currently resides in New York, and is starting a new project (2007). Frozen Rose wishes to thank its fans, over the years!

Anyone who would be interested in getting a copy of the original 5-song EP may contact Mike Hancock through myspace or yahoo. The original studio master tapes are still in good order, and even though all the original pressings (3,000) are gone, arrangements can be made to either have a custom tape made, or you may also elect to download the mp3 version.

Reminds me of bands such as KISS or at times DOUBLE D in musical style, this is an excellent score for your collection.

I remember these guys touring the Midwest in the early '90's. What a great stage show and no one was doing the songs they did at the time! I hear they are all still active, but in different bands. I caught up with the singer living in Pittsburgh now, and I hope he gets back out onstage soon! I know they have a myspace page and also their album is available for free download on the archive dot org website, so it's out there for you if you want to hear it! UP THE ROSE!!!!
