Excellent scandunavian band that created one of the best rock albums in the 90's with the writing and producing help of Steve Plunkett(Autograph).Superb songs, superb production = excellent BUY.Party rock at its best.

Production is out of this world, "Tough Enough" will blow you away if "Kiss Me in French" doesn't do it first. I overlooked this CD for many years, now I have bruise marks on my shins for kicking myself. You won't go wrong with this explosive release! Fans of Winger, Trouble Tribe, Kane Roberts (Saints and Sinners), etc. are strongly encouraged to check this out!!

Este es un discazo del mejor hard AOR americano comercial de los primeros noventa ,guarda similitudes con danger danger

Pop-metal so good, it could wake you up from a stone-cold coma. Had this album been released three years earlier, it would have been a huge hit of the hair-metal era, thanks to unbelievably-catchy, hook-driven songs like "Her Body Compliments the Beat" and "I Don't Want No Body But Yours." If you haven't heard this band, then all it will take is one listen to have you talking about it for days to come. No matter what language you speak, this is killer melodic hard rock.

From: freddy de keyze Date: January 6, 2003 at 12:27
Indeed an overlooked piece of work (light AOR), but very good and catchy. Worth checking out ! And it's not scandinavian, I believe it's canadian !

From: Teo_3 Date: January 6, 2003 at 12:37
And yet again the person with the self claimed best opinion in rock makes a commend and the rating of the certain band goes down by 20%.Listen my friend, everyone is entitled to his opinion but u can't force your opinion by voting lots of times to lower a rating. And at the end of the day don't you have something better to do with your life?Paliomalaka. I AM ASKING THE ADMINISTRATOR IF HE CAN TREAT PEOPLE LIKE freddy AND ALLOW ONLY ONE VOTE simply by using some kind of "cookie".It's very annoying!

when this album came out back in 93 somebody described it as a perfect mixture between warrant & danger danger and now in the year 2003 i still coudnt have described it better myself.

From: jayglam@hotmail Date: March 4, 2003 at 7:09
Sic vikki exceeded all my expectation they are that good. Great songs like tough enough, her body compliments the beat and the monster ballad you make me bleed. Great production and melodies make this an essential melodic aor release. Jay from Australia.

Sic Vikki hailed from the Philadelphia PA area in the USA. They took the east coast by storm in the early to mid 90's. The lead singers name is Rich Cox. Those who had the chance to see them live were lucky. They also released a second CD called Street side Picasso although much more mellow then the first still kicked butt.

From: Kristian Date: April 30, 2003 at 9:25
Great cd, Highly recomended if you don't like your hard rock too hard, Sounds like a lighter version of Hardline.

From: Lil Al Date: June 4, 2003 at 21:37
"took the East Coast by storm"?? Please...Heavens Edge,Tangier,Network, did it better.

From: Scandinavia Date: July 29, 2003 at 17:23
Sic Vikki scandinavian??? Hmmm somebody needs to go back to school...Especially the geography lessons! I guess this release is considered a rarity more or less...Well I was kinda lucky when I got mine...Found it at a convenience store for appr. 2 dollars...Regarding the music it's good but really not that superior...Overall the album suffers from a way too polished sound in which the otherwise great tunes seem to drown...Too bad! Worth a listen though for quality hardrock!

From: Babyblue349 Date: October 2, 2003 at 21:27
I love you Richie Cox! This is my all-time favorite album. This band really rocks! A shout out to all my homies in Philadelphia! Hope Ethan and Sydney are growin' big and tall! See ya around Christmas!

From: tomcat Date: October 3, 2003 at 6:14
i always thought this album was lots of fun..It reminded me alot of autograph but that's where Steve Plunkett comes in. Some excellent songwriting on this cd and i can recommend it to anybody. I have their second cd too and the opener of that album 'from my window' is one of my alltime favorite rocktunes.I wonder where all the members have been..? batcave777@hotmail.com

From: CC Date: October 19, 2003 at 15:46
Kiss me in French owed so much of its sound to Autograph but its hardly surprising with Steve Plunkett being involved. Absolutely fantastic melodic rock with some extremely catchy tune....shame their second album (Streetside Picasso) couldnt live up to the debut!

From: Pat Schumaker Date: December 15, 2003 at 14:31
Nice to see people still listen after all this time. Keep rockin!

I think my band opened up for you guys way back when, probably before you were signed. I remember you guys kicking some major butt. We on the other hand sucked quite badly. Great album, real solid stuff.

From: AOR freaky Date: December 16, 2003 at 8:15
Good decent stuff, not exceptional !

I was one of the lucky ones that actually got to see and do work for the Vikki guys. I have the best photographs of them. Their music will always be a part of the best years of my life. Richie Cox voice is timeless, he is so blessed.

From: sassy Date: February 24, 2004 at 15:45
Just okay...not marketable but good...not the right style of music...it is too bubble gummy for this Kat!

From: Ville Valo Date: March 27, 2004 at 2:16
I think this album is a good album but i think there are a lot fuckin' better, and the comparation with Danger Danger and Warrant.....Come on, man....Sic Vikki doesn't exist compare to DD and Warrant. It's my opinion, just that!!!!!!!

From: MJ Date: April 3, 2004 at 10:20
A melodic masterpiece, great riffs and catchy rock tunes. Always the case when Steve Plunkett is involved!

From: jessica96fish Date: April 10, 2004 at 11:11
well these guys fit in with the danger danger and warrant sound.very cool cd.and if this cd is over rated.then i'm glad i've got a copy.how anyone can not hear the brilliant catchy songs on this slice of rock heaven.you may need your ears checking lol.JUST BUY THIS GEM!!!

From: Blue Tequila Date: April 30, 2004 at 22:39
These guys sound to me like a mix of 2 parts Winger, 1 part Danger Danger and a touch of Lita Ford (yeah you read that right) IMHO. There isn't a bad song here, maybe a tad on the light side of hard rock but still a great album.

From: IvoryTowerWoman Date: May 3, 2004 at 23:56
I received this cd as a gift about a year ago and wished I had known about them in 93. Every song rocked except the customary ballad Cry. Kiss Me In French, Tie Me Up, and Baby Talks Dirty are favorites. Excellent "Road Music", this is the kind of cd you pop in, take the top down and take a long drive with. Very TIGHT music!!!

From: Rycheage Date: May 26, 2004 at 22:38
A great melodic hard rock album. The opening duo of 'Kiss Me In French' and 'Tough Enough' showcase their undoubted ability in the first six minutes. 'Damage Is Done' is emotion drenched melodia only bands like this can pull off. 'Baby Talks Dirty' moves into Autograph territory effortlessly. The ballad 'You Make Me Bleed' is one we've heard a thousand times before, though a thousand and one times ain't gonna hurt. Great stuff....

well...whatever)Geez...guess I'm just fucked up..???? Didn't really do much for me. Not bad, but....great??? Hmmmm....

From: Kip Date: August 26, 2004 at 12:56
This album is one of the VERY VERY few that I like every single song on it. This one, Lillian Axe's Love and War, Blue Tears' self titled are all masterpieces in their own.

From: Geoff Date: August 26, 2004 at 20:33
This is a great melodic / commercial hard rock CD and much better than what followed. My favourite track is the brilliant 'Stop breaking my heart' - melodic perfection. Overall I wouldn't rate it quite as high as the majority here, but it is a very good melodic hard rock release either way.

From: Kip Date: September 1, 2004 at 2:07
I like Kiss Me In French most I think. That was such a classic song title the song just had to be great too, and it is. Trying to stack up my favorites in order here is next to impossible, because I like all the songs equaly almost. I'll take a stab in track order: 1,6,3,9,7,10,2,4,5,8. Heh. I really like track 8 too. This is really easy to rate. 10/10

From: Bob A. Date: September 21, 2004 at 20:18
Sic Vikki was a great band! The production of the cd's were great along with the very tight guitar playing and upbeat sound. This is one of those cd's you put in and justlet play. Good rockin feel good music.Rich Cox is still releasing music(Designer Fetish)and is still playing out live. He plays a wide range of music from hard rock to blues to even motown and just about an type of song you can imagine. He is currently working in the studio. Check out richcox.net

Sounds like a rough version of BON JOVI (or like any other american band ). Don't like it too much but "Her body compliments the beat" -what a song..

From: 9 CHAMPIONS A 1 Date: March 16, 2005 at 13:35

From: Leykis101 Date: October 22, 2005 at 15:03
Stop Breaking My Broken Heart, that song goes on my top 20 ever list! absolutely perfect chemistry to that song, you people bitching about over polished and shit like that, go jam Venoms Black Metal Cd, im sure it will adhere to your polishing needs!

From: BIG-TIME Date: January 13, 2006 at 16:26
Didn't like this album when I first heard it, BOY was I wrong. AWESOME come's to mind so glad I've got it now. Keep Rockin all!!!

From: rene Date: January 28, 2006 at 17:53
Not a classic in my opinion but i think that FIREHOUSE or BON JOVI fans will like this cd. Not very strong songs and over-rated in many ways. Buy the 80s URIAH HEEP or NAZARETH albums, at least does rocks in a hard way. This not. still not bad.

From: juan carlos Date: July 7, 2007 at 12:42
Súper-Discazo de MHR, Clasicazo para mí y la producción de lujo ehh. "Tough Enough" "Stop Breakin' My Heart" "Her Body Compliments the Beat" "Damage Is Done" de las melódicas, "Tough Enough" Temazoo!! "Tie Me Up" mis otras favoritas. La final "Cry" acústica muy buena. De verdad que es muy completo, 10 temas que te harán gozar como núnca, garantizado. 9.3/10

From: Rafo Phoenix Date: July 7, 2007 at 14:20
Very Good Melodic Hard Rock, muy bueno donde se pueden encontrar similitudes a bandas como Danger Danger, Trixter, Autograph con ese estilo fiestero y comercial que por mi parte comparandolo con bandas con estilo mas serio y misterioso estan a un peldaño mas abajo quiza por eso no me emocionen tanto bandas asi o como dice Champions Wall Of Silence y Sure Conviction o algo de Harem Scarem aunque no me parece algo redondo tiene grandes cortes y otros buenos Vale la Pena 8.5/10

From: 80s hero Date: July 14, 2007 at 10:44
Bien! SIC VIKKI consiguen imitar a DANGER DANGER sacando un disco con buenas compsocione. Si hasta a veces creo que estoy escuchando DANGER DANGER!! Con eso alcanza. 8,50/10.

From: YNGWIEVIKING Date: August 13, 2007 at 4:26
DEF LEPPARD if they were Americans or DD , FIREHOUSE with some EURO influences ! The band it's TIGHT & really good but i think : STEVE PLUNKETT it's a fantastic songwriter/PRODUCER ! a true HIT maker ! Each song it's an hymn not a single filler ! If you need HOOKS then you LOVE this CD A true genius !88/100

From: aorluver Date: October 30, 2007 at 7:27
The song "Kiss me in french" sounds as if they were born in L.A. !! The album is nothing seminal but a great set of tracks to shake , rattle and roll to!!

From: Roxy Lipstikk Date: October 16, 2008 at 3:04
one of the best albums for me... if anyone know where to get it... let me know!!!

From: newscandi Date: October 16, 2008 at 17:53
It's easy to get. I think I must not tell you where here. But my email is "cornelius_groth@yahoo.de". It's indeed an album where price and quality stand in a good balance to it

From: MHR Date: October 16, 2009 at 6:43
Excellent band

From: rick kerch vzla Date: October 14, 2010 at 21:40
Great album!!!...if you like Danger Danger(really close sound) & Blue Tears then Sic Vikki is 4 ya!!!...top notch album that delivers excellent hooks and riffs plus an energetic vocalist,Mr Rich Kox,the right man 4 these kind of songs... ,"Kiss Me in French" with that little seductive intro of the woman saying "parlez-vous franÇais?" is a starter,"Tough Enough" is an excellent one,"Baby Talks Dirty" is a goodie one,"You make Me Bleed" is a wonderful ballad!,"Tie Me Up" rocks and also has a catchy chorus,"Her Body Compliments The Beat" AOR influence ,"Damage Is Done" another monster ballad,"Stop Breakin' My Heart" also AOR influence & "Cry" is just an amazing acoustic track..for me it ends the album the correct way...agree with all the great comments above...96/100

From: the rocker Date: January 15, 2012 at 14:27
I think this is a pretty good cd. Reminds me of Blue Tears(the background vocals)and a little bit of Trixter. Kiss Me In French, Tough Enough, & Stop Breaking My Broken Heart are 3 gems that makes you need to own this. I recommend.

From: elljam Date: May 18, 2012 at 8:16
Very good 80's US commercial hard rock with every song sticking in your head. A couple of excellent slower songs in "Her body compliments the beat" & "Damage is done" plus good upbeat numbers with singalong choruses like "Tough Enough", "Baby talks dirty", & "Stop breaking my broken heart". For fans of Danger Danger, Firehouse etc

From: 123charpenay Date: January 24, 2014 at 11:57
hope you have not miss this jewel.this record is a collection of hits.only the acoustic song "cry" is not at my taste."her body compliments the beat"is a real hit in the vein of white heat."stop breakin my broken heart" is an other hit who have easely his place in the three first bon jovi s records.tracks influenced by autograph.fun hard rock for make party with girls and whisky coca.pleasure guaranted.track 4 and 8 are two beautiful ballads.for make short this album is essential.unfortunately no bonus track on the very rare japan import.

From: 123charpenay Date: December 10, 2020 at 17:59
to rick.when a woman with a sensual voice says "parlez vous français?"(do you speak french)" i answer:YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

From: hair metal again Date: February 22, 2022 at 7:49
hair metal masterpiece for SIC VIKKI back in 93 that got out 3 years later than it should ,otherwise it would be a milestone of the movement!bombastic hair metal music in the style of TRIXTER mainly with killer melodic hooks and a sweet guitar driven sound tha treally gets to you!all the songs are great and overall an exceptional one that stands proud next to the big ones
