Aug. 20, 2025: Temporary Message Board ClosureThe company hosting the message board sprung a surprise price hike on me that would have more than tripled the monthly hosting costs, so I've been scrambling to find an alternative. I've purchased a license for self-hosting a different platform and am hiring a consultant to migrate the existing board's content (posts, user profiles, etc.). However, this means I need to shut down the message board for anywhere from 3 days to (hopefully less than) a week so the data can be migrated. While this is an expensive proposition up front, it should result in some long-term savings. The current message board will be closed down at some point this Saturday, August 23. I will post updates here. The main site (where you are reading this), will NOT be affected. -Dan |

They have an old style to them but I thought it got boring in a hurry. |

This keeps reminding me of a heavier Y-n-T. I'm starting to like this a lot more the more i listen. Def. recommended for fans of Y-n-T. I bought this because it was in the bargain bin and it looked promising. I had no idea that these guys had so many albums out. Any word on what the others sound like? |

This is their best album, killer songs, catchy hooks, pounding in your face guitars, drums, and Bullet fucking nails some clever vocals, for people curious, all their albums are similar, they don't change much, this is their pinnacle album, surprising it never got more attention, it's great production and a lot of commercial possibility's, Thunderhead play a very aggressive driving brand of hard rock, not fast, just very heavy, constantly, from one song to the next, they do good ballads too, actually they almost specialize in ballads, I don't understand the Y&T comparisons unless people think Bullet sounds like Meniketti? cause musically there's nothing even remotely comparable, these guys are wayyyyyy heavier then Y&T, at Y&T's heaviest they were never remotely as heavy as TH at their most mellow. |
