A combo of Y&T, Autograph, and Night Ranger.

There are some great tunes on this one but I think they overused the 'Summertime Girls' approach too often. I'm not implying that it's a ripoff, just a bit too lite in places.

Track 9 'One Thing' reminds me a bit of Shotgun Messiah. I listened to this disc again today and have a much more favorable opinion of it. It's very good, but I still prefer Emergency. You won't go wrong either way though. If you prefer the bands I mentioned above to the ones on Emergency then get this.

This is basically a supercharged Night Ranger. It recently went for $85 for a near mint copy.

I think track 3 has to be my favorite. It reminds me of Chicago's 'If She Would Have Been Faithful' and Night Ranger's 'Sister Christian.' Great power ballad that should have made it.

no, the singer for Britny Fox is Tommy Paris, the perfect guy to take over for Dizzy Dean.

Hey nitrodoll. I do believe that Tommy Paris, and Don Jillson are the same person. If you check out the thanks on the Britny Fox Bite Down Hard CD the first person Tommy thanks is Jamie Warren Borden who is the drummer for Jillson. And Tommy and Jillson both thank Lou Carto JR. and SR. Coincidence, I think not. And they sound exactly the same, in either case both CDs totally ROCK! Jillson Deadly Girl is a CD one should not be without, unfortunately it is extremely rare. Keep looking, its worth i

On the Britny Fox site they have a section and tell what all projects all the members of BF have been in and nowhere do they memtion than Tommy Paris went by a different name. go to britnyfox.com and then the FAQ section. Just wondering.

I recently spoke to Johnny Dee while he was on tour with Doro Pesch in Australia, and I asked him if Don Jilson was Tommy Paris, he Said 'YES', he was kinda freaked out at the question, probably because no one has asked him about anything like that in a while. But either way I'd say that if a guy from Britny Fox says that Tommy Paris and Don Jilson are the same person, that should be good enough for anybody.

Who the hell cares about Don Jillson or Tommy Paris, it's the COVER that should be spoken of! I'd like to know who this lady is (and her phone number), and not some Don-guy, dammit!

I just downloaded this record and as I mentioned: the music is by far not as good as the cover, though listenable. Btw I think Britny Fox without Dizzy Dean lost at least a half of their value as T. Paris does not hold a candle to Triple D.

It doesn't appear to be TOO over-rated on this site, but this has to be one of the most highly rated indies ever, elsewhere. It is nowhere near as good as the majority of hard rock releases. Although not bad, it is just standard hard rock. I don't know if it is Tommy Paris or not, but I think it is because it's the same voice. Still doesn't save a very, very average bunch of hard rock songs.

I finally got my hands on this CD. Let me tell you it's worth the price. The music on this album is top notch rock. Rockin' anthems like 'Make Love','Bad Side',and 'On My Own' lead this excellent CD. The ballads 'Goodbye', and 'Mean What You Say' are very melodic and full of heart. My personal favorite would have to be the catchy 'Take Me'. All and all Deadly Girl is a CD not worth missing. If you can get your hands on a copy it's an indie release worthy of your collection. My review: 9/10.

It took me a while to get into this album, and at first I was very dissapointed. Now: there ain't no way this is leaving my collection - I love it!!

This is the best INDIE band from the USA is it not one of the most sought after as everyone does know ! Another Indie band that never took off like they should have .. 1990 was getting to be the fall of glam/metal and labels were starting to go a different direction and that was not with bands that could hold a tune ! Am I Right ? Even with limited release it still remains a great CD . No band compares to them they have a sound none like anyone else . Put them up against big bands in the day and they would blow them away !J.B. is one of the all time great drummers and a great friend !

No way am I paying $200 for this so I searched for hours for mp3s of this on the web and managed to find some 320 bit rate ones! Not a bad album I must say. Has shades of Nitro in the mix but mostly sounds like a Bite Down Hard with a more of a Van Halen/Night Ranger mix. Bad Side, Goodbye and Take Me are my favourite songs. Great stuff. 88/100

Ok I can clear some stuff up. My Brother is Terry Ripley, the guy that played Lead Guitar on the Jillson CD. YES Don Jillson and Tommy Paris are 1 in the Same. This Band was a lot of fun. They only had 2 Gigs that I can Remember, Then Don/Tommy took off to join Britny Fox

This is a very good release,it has solid numbers like 'It's Emotion' cool songs such as 'Deadly Girl' & 'All I Can' also AOR influenced songs like 'Bad Side' & 'On My Own' of course a killer ballad 'Again' & 'Goodbye'(this one being a semi ballad with very good choruses)and so on....the songs have some kind of Skid Row flavour and the voice of Don sounds like Sebastian Bach at times...enjoyable...86/100

JILLSON has an interesting biographical history, although it's unclear when exactly the act had formed. The group originated from Nevada, & are better known for multi-instrumentalist Don Jillson (aka: Tommy Paris")later replacing "Dizzy" Dean Davidson on vocals with BRITNY FOX, & recording 2 albums to date with that band ("Bite Down hard" & "Springhead Motorshark"). He remained as BRITNY FOX's vocalist until he was replaced by Jamie Fletcher in 2008 with that act splitting up shortly thereafter. JILLSON originally released a 4-track EP in 1986 featuring the tracks: "Take it All The Way", "InTouch", "Use Me", & "The End" (with only a re-recorded version of "The End" appearing as a bonus track on the Retrospect reissue of JILLSON's lone LP from 1990 titled, "Deadly Girl"). The lineup on that EP only featured 2 members: Don Jillson (v/b/g/d/k) & Scott Evans (g). It's unclear if there were any other lineups before or after that EP, but Don would put together a lineup featuring:

Terry Ripley (g), Jamie Warren Borden (d) (ex-STRANGER, ex-DIVINE JUDGEMENT, ex-J.J.T. + others), & Dale Borden (b/k). They would record the "Deadly Girl" LP in 1990 with the Retrospect reissue including 3 bonus tracks that were recorded shortly after the album (likely in 1990 as well). Don Jillson would join BRITNY FOX afterwards as well as DIVINE JUDGEMENT with Jamie Warren Borden, & would more recently tour with the Classic Rock act COUNT'S 77 that features Danny "Count" Koker on vocals from the television series "Counting Cars" (it's unclear if Don Jillson is currently with that group or not). Don would also record material once again with Jamie Warren Borden & guitarist Jimmy Crespo (ex-AEROSMITH, ex-ADAM BOMB, ex-ROUGH CUTT, ex-FLAME, Solo) with material more recently being unearthed by Retrospect Records as well. The JILLSON sound was criminally underrated Melodic Rock with AOR/HM/Glam tendencies best comparable to "Bite Down Hard"-era BRITNY FOX as well as some of the bands

...mentioned above & also acts such as REO SPEEDWAGON & CHICAGO during their lighter moments 9as indicated by Retrospect Records). Don Jillson also recorded a Solo LP under the "Tommy Paris" moniker in 2002 that was more along the lines of modernized garbage.

The material recorded with both Jamie Warren Borden & Jimmy Crespo was under the moniker "J.J.T." (Jimmy/Jamie/Tommy).
