Schöne Platte für zwischendurch ! Gut zum relaxen, weil sehr eingängig. Janet hat auch ne angenehme Stimme ! 8\10

Allison is a swiss female fronted AOR/hard rock act, generically describable as a heavy version of Heart. Standard and not original melodic hard rock, but Janet La Rose has a beautiful and full of fight voice. Another version of this album (with a different cover) contains one track more: the hit single “Dreams of Glory”. Worth buying for female vocalists lovers.

overrated garbage is what this is.

How can this be overrated when noone rates it ?oP Garbage however it is not. I must admit that, although not being very keen on female singers, I quite like this album. Decent songs, good musicians and the lady can sing! Nothing overwhelming, but well worth picking up. The version with the "hit single" (where was this a hit BTW?) is released on Music for Nations...

There is a reference to a harder version of Heart above. Can anybody tell me what other female vocalist this singer sounds similar to? Thanks.

I thought this was quite good. The vocals are truly similar to Heart, with an accent of course. If you like this, check out the Spanish band Nexx. Excellent similar vocals and well produced edgy AOR. )

Please tell me more about her new band ANGELHEART Jessica. It's more poppy, I heard. Are the melodies better as on this 'cos apart from the two ballads I'VE BEEN WAITING & ALL THE WAY TO HEAVEN I don't really like this one. They have another album one year earlier ,by the way, called IF EVER... Is this better than the other??

Allison-One is by far one of the BEST female fronted cd's EVER!!! A definite harder version of HEART, with catchier songs!!! Janet LaRose is awesome on vocals. A definite must have for any female fronted music lover!!!

Hmmm, just hit 'delete'. I really like female fronted AOR bands (check 'Witness'), so I was hopeful here. From the moment Janet opened her mouth I was saying f**k. A crappy accent and bad lyrics ruin this one, right from the get go. Too bad because her voice has some range and melody.

Recently I listened to this one again. I didn't say one of the best female AOR's out there but quite near actually. Great voice of Janet too. However, I don't like this too much; it's a MUST for female AOR collector completists but I'm afraid to say: Not for me! "All the way to heaven" is a very sweet little ballad and "Smokin' track" is a great acoustic song.. but I'm not sure about the rest. Maybe this album is worth for "I've been waiting" alone. SUPERP ballad. Like HEART & PRIVATE LIFE.7/10

I really like this CD. Vocally, reminds me of Anne Wilson (?) from Heart, with an accent. Musically the album is superb, with numerous highlights. 'Did I know' is great, as is 'Without a woman', 'Sometimes'... the list goes on. A couple of fillers, but overall one of the best female fronted melodic rock albums I've heard. Definately recommended for fans of Witness etc.

Agree with YNGWIEVIKING completely!!!this band can be similar to the ones we know, either band or vocalist (Vixen,Alannah Myles,Harlow and so on...),"Let Your Hair Down" a song that rocks,"Without A Woman" is pretty enjoyable,"Sometimes" has the AOR spirit around,"I've Been Waiting" the typical nice ballad sang by a woman ,"Shadows" rocks pleasantly,"Dancing On A Line" ,"All The Way To Heaven" is another pretty nice ballad,"Did I Know" is a personal fave,"Crazy" catchy...well all this said,is up to you 2 give it a try!.88/100
