Contrary to popular belief, this is Purple's weakest album. It pretty much sums up everything that was wrong with Mk. 1: weak vocals, below average songwriting, and uninspired performances. Also, this album hasn't aged well at all. When it was released in 1969, Mk. 1's style was already dated. |
