A bit more modern sounding than the first two discs, but still damn good. A real sleeper of a release that really grew on me the more I listened to it. Also a bit darker than the first two.

I guess Damon and the gang figured since "And Fools Shine On" was so successful, they should put out a whole album of drony, semi-grungy tunes, produced by the reverse King Midas, Kelly Gray (everything this guy touches turns to shit). "Machete" is a good song, but very Alice In Chains-like. "I Lie In The Bed I Make" was the first single, and, like "Fools" begs the question "Where's the hook?!" as do a lot of the songs here. It's an okay release for what it is, but compared to the debut and certain songs on Seeds, it ain't so great.

The band changed its good, catchy and well structured Hard Rock sound and fell in love with all that alternative thing that was almost in its end as well(the Nu Metal stuff was starting to take the world by storm)...anyway there are some interesting tracks in 1,2,4,7 & 9...by the way and not a surprise at all,the band called its day after this release...80/100
