Pretty boring "Let's Zep" lesson for anyone who hadn't gotten enough Whitesnake, Kingdom Come, Great White or Blue Murder in the 2 years previous to this CD's release. "Wait For You" was, of course, the hit single but the rest of the album doesn't stand out. Led Zzzzzzz

From: dokken6008 Date: April 2, 2002 at 14:54
I really don't know what to make of this release. It was hard for me to make it through a few songs much less the entire cd. Luckily I bought it for less than three bucks in the used section. The musicianship and vocalisations are all good but 'The Disregard Of Timekeeping' seems to be a very mediocre hair album. One thing that I do think that is cool is naming a band after the drummer. Being as young as I am I had no previous knowledge that the 2nd track was a single but I now I understand why.

From: Desslar Date: April 8, 2002 at 1:24
The single is pure Led Zep, but the rest of the album is....yech! Boring and stale corporate rock.

From: dokken6008 Date: April 8, 2002 at 8:40
Yippee. Look Desslar, maybe we have agreed on something for once. That's a first.

From: TIM Date: April 26, 2002 at 7:17
I have to agree with Desslar once again.

From: Andre Tekken Date: August 5, 2002 at 10:32
I think this is the album that you get used to.Describing it it's kinda of a more commercial Led Zeppelin with better musicianship!Never seen drumms so well recorded! And Jason as a drummer in this album is awsome!I personally do agree that with no doubt it is corporate rock, but NOT a hair band!Maybe on the booklet and promos, not the attitude!

From: Andre Tekken Date: August 5, 2002 at 10:42
Maybe they were not as commercial band as others of their era, that doesn't mean this band souldn't be recognized as a very nice one!Guitars,Jimmy Page style, but more sophisticaded, same with drumms!Vocals like Robert Plant, but Higher pitch, and way better molded!Plus the recordings are extremely neat!I give it 72/10!Cool record!!

From: Richard H. Date: September 27, 2002 at 12:34
I quite like this album.I expected the Led Zep. cliches but this really sort of stands up on it's own.Everyone plays well on this and the songs grow on you with repeated listens."Room For Us All" is one of those epic 'after the holocaust' type, balladish songs that exhibits great passion and the quest for comfort and security.Powerful stuff.

From: tRiCkY4 Date: January 1, 2003 at 18:27
Jason was influenced by his dad's drumming and LED ZEP in general? So was every other band of the time! This record is just as true to the good songs, strong rhythyms, melody and harmonies of the best 80's AOR. If you like Whitesnake, American Angel, Prophet, Great White, Y&T and especially Hurricane, you'll like this CD. Comparisons to LED ZEP are unfair. LED ZEP could NEVER have made this album. It stands alone as a solid debut effort with great songs produced by BOB EZRIN. The record rocks.

One of the guys of the band (JOHN SMITHSON)lives near me. He comes many times to my shop to buy furnitures. Cool guy. Today he playes at some rock pubs in BENIDORM, Spain with some cover bands.

to me this guy "jason" poured his heart and soul out in this album. i don't know where this corporate or commercial rock comes from but there are only a handful of bands that can even come close to led zep. this one of the top ten albums on my list if not the #1 it is spiritual and compeling i,m mean give the guy a break you excpect him to fill his fathers shoes.come on let him make his own sounds and if it sounds like his fathers well guess what that was his dad and they are the same blood.

From: Date: December 5, 2003 at 17:28
Very boooring and generic. Sounds like Billy Squier but without the catchy songs.

From: robert Date: December 14, 2003 at 22:21
No esta mal, pero muy por debajo del nivel exigido del 89'!! 5'5 sobre 10!!

From: Steven Ertelt Date: December 18, 2003 at 18:32
Pretty good stuff. Bonham does best when its songs are more up-tempo and aggressive, which makes it easy to see why Wait for You was the single. Bringing Me Down and Cross Me and See exhibit the same feel. The other songs exhibit solid musicianship but they don't have the flare that made similar bands more popular. Whitesnake, Badlands, Blue Murder, Kingdom Come and others have more panache than Bonham. More songs like those mentioned and a strong ballad would have put Bonham in the upper tier.

From: Max Date: February 15, 2004 at 18:46
Andre Tekken, this album is really good, but don't say it has better musicianship than Led Zeppelin, pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

From: drummerfish Date: February 16, 2004 at 3:53
the first 3 songs are the only reason to hear this cd(not incl intro) honestly,"waiting" is one of the best recorded and mixed drum tracks ever from the time.jason had alot riding on this, especially with his famous name as the bands name.does anyone remember the band jason was in before this on a major label? if i remember correctly,i believe it was called,"black dog".not kidding.

From: Mike h Date: May 3, 2004 at 1:10
This is truely a very boring album. they just dont have any energy in there songs. sure WAIT FOR YOU and GUILTY are good songs but they dont make up for the rest of the cd.

From: Bernardito71 Date: October 24, 2004 at 19:51
one of these albms that the first 2 or 3 tracks are good ...but the rest of the album is very BORING , NOT BAD BUT BORING. uno de esos discos en que las primeras 2 o 3 canciones son buenas... pero el resto del disco es muy ABURRIDO, NO ESTA MAL PERO ABURRE RATE 72/100 CHERRS FROM MEXICO CITY ASSHOLES!!! SALUDOS DESDE MEXICO CIUDAD, CABRONES!!!

From: Dreamaholic Date: October 27, 2004 at 6:18
I really dig this CD even though I shouldn't. Was hooked from the moment I saw "Wait for You" on Headbanger's Ball back in '89. I ended up liking every song...go figure!

From: Jesse Date: December 13, 2004 at 13:15
Definitely NOT boring as some claim it is..."Wait For You" totally kicks ass...overall I like the entire album, but my favorites are "Wait For You" and "Holding On Forever." Maybe I'm just crazy, but at times the vocals seem to resemble Billy Squier a bit...not that that's a bad thing by any means.

From: Aussie Dave Date: March 10, 2005 at 1:51
Hard to place these guys in a category as they were streets ahead musically of any hair band around at the time. It does have a Led Zeppelin type of feeling to it, which is understandable. The songs have a progressive sound to them, and it does take a few listens to really get into this album. But once i got into the feel of the record, i loved what i heard. Room For Us All is about the only boring track on here. Cross Me And See, Wait For You and Holding On Forever are my faves. 8/10....

From: Geoff Date: March 14, 2005 at 21:36
This one was lost on me. Couldn't find anything on it to enjoy. Blue Murder were very good at what they did and I thought this was a similar style, but without any good songs, IMO. I sold this as I was bored silly with it when I had it.

From: caritosmatanza Date: January 27, 2006 at 12:42

From: Metalmusicman Date: January 1, 2007 at 18:02
The year I got this was a blur of drugs and booze for me, so I went back and re-listened to this one to see if I really loved it as much as I thought I remembered I did. Hell yes I did! This is just wonderful melodic rock with great vocals and excellent production. Now while the whole thing is not blow you away great, there are some stellar songs here, like "Wait For You", "Holding On Forever", "Guilty", "Playing To Win", and "Just Another Day". I don't really get the Zeppelin thing. Good sh*t!

From: shark attack Date: July 16, 2007 at 12:47
Zep-lite Is the best description of this which begs the question who was behind this project in the first place...a greedy record company exec.or is Jason Bonham stupid (your dad must be turning in his grave if the latter is true)anyway if wimpy wannabe Led Zep is your thing then there`s much to like or if your like me, stick to the original.6/10

From: shoemaker Date: October 8, 2007 at 18:59
Jesse named the highlights here. "Room for us all" is also very good. This album grows. First when I bought it I was very dissapointed. Boring stuff I thought, but this LP has it´s own identity and a cool sound. "Guilty" is another strong song.

From: rockhardrock Date: May 26, 2009 at 18:22
very interesting record. it reminds on led zeppelin as many of you said here. it's far from being great album but i also wouldn't say it's mediocre. Daniel's voice is magnificent here, too bad that he died so young. my favs: Wait for You, Guilty (love it), Holding On Forever and Just Another Day

From: rick kerch vzla Date: November 1, 2012 at 21:31
Some mixed comments above saying this is good or this is boring ect ect etc...for me is a very good one indeed!!!...serious songs, not everything has to be head bangin' ..."Just Another Day" is by far the best track in here, plus add to that these couple too "Guilty" & "Dreams"...tracks 2,3,5(catchy)& 11(nice) could also be appealing to any self respected rocker...recommended...92/100

From: hair metal again Date: February 14, 2017 at 5:36
superb debut for BONHAM back in 89 , with an excellent musicianship & production ,a smooth sound of the highest quality, sensational vocals and some great songs like "wait for you",'guilty","playing to win"!this one was into the hair metal movement that was on at the moment .but didnt have the cliches of that!def a grower ,it needs a lot of spins as it has many "hidden" hooks!unique release that shows the depth of that golden era
