Excellant cd in the style of Hardline and House Of Lords. Check out the song No For An Answer here: http://www.melodicrock.com/showcase/fury.html

From: Shoemaker Date: September 13, 2002 at 3:29
Yes, "No for an answer" is a great song, but there are a lot of fillers on the album 50% is poor stuff.

From: Reno Date: September 20, 2002 at 19:59
Actually Shoemaker...I liked this entire cd. Good 80's sounding band.

From: fretboardfrenzy Date: September 29, 2002 at 11:14

FURY plays 80s-style melodic hard rock the way Bon Jovi used to. The formula is simple: lay down a foundation of big guitars, pile on a bunch of hooks, fire up a high-powered chorus, slap on some gang-style backing vocals, and you've got yourself a keper. And fillers? Who said fillers?? There ain't no fillers on here. All songs are grade-A, 100% melodic hard rock, making this one of the best releases to emerge on the usually-lame Escape Music label.

10,000 Girls is an unbelioevable song,it kicks so much ass. Crank it if you play it, it will get you so pumped!!

From: Jay Date: November 2, 2002 at 8:52
This CD ROCKS!!! best thing I have heard in years, wow, No for an answer, love ammunition, Fire are classics, like old Bon Jovi, the first Skid Row CD, Dokken's "tooth and nail2 and Whitesnake's 1987 all rolled into one. Buy it Is Brilliant!!!!

Agrees That This is a GREAT (canadian) band. Its just to bad that it took almost 10 years to get it out on a lable. Now If I could ONLY find an Original copy of this Album. but I dont believe they ever did release it, Or @ least I cant find anything on it. I do have the Original Video for "Trouble" ) under thier Original name "Young Gun"

There are maybe 3 good songs on the disc. The rest are very ordinary !

Fury is a lost Canadian classic from 1994-ish. I really don't mind when some albums surface, as long as they have the goods. Fury definitely has the goods. In fact this is a great, good fun, hard rocking throw back to the good old days of American stadium rock n roll.

From: Jayglam Date: April 9, 2003 at 6:08
Great CD kick ass. Great songs, vocals and musicianship. Check out don't take no for an answer and 10 000 girls. It's great to hear bands Like Fury being released for us hardcore melodic Rock fans. Jay from Australia.

From: John Date: August 13, 2003 at 15:03
Am I the only one that hears 'Slick Black Cadillac' in '10,000 Girls'? Doesn't matter as this is what catchy hard rock is all about. Arena style harmonies and great guitars. 8/10.

From: tomcat Date: October 25, 2003 at 10:47
'don't take no for an answer' rocks bigtime.Other cool songs on this cd are 'love' and 'hang em high'..excellent choice of melodic rock..

From: truckinnut Date: February 21, 2004 at 19:30
These guys have always kicked ass!Even as a bar band in the '80's...also F.Y.I "Young Guns" ain't their original name.

So, where are they now? I'm pretty sure we know where Brian "Buffy Rude"Howes is...how about the rest of them??

"No for an answer" has been blasted outta my car CD player more times over the past 12 months than any other track... if you're after MASSIVE gang/back up vocals, in the style of Love+War era Lillian Axe, this CD will blow you away. True- there are a few "mid-grade" fillers, BUT... the stand-out tracks MORE than make up for it. The track "No for an answer" alone is worth the admission price. 10,000 girls, is also a kickin' tune... great production too! This cd has the looks AND the hooks!

From: tomcat Date: December 21, 2004 at 5:22
agree with PJ, but also the song "higher ground" is amazingly cool..

From: Geoff Date: February 27, 2005 at 6:14
There has never been a better opening track than 'I Don't Take No for an Answer' (Though it's probably on par with 'Forever young' by Tyketto). Just an outstanding melodic hard rock track. And if that is not already enough, 'Shouldn't I be' is one of my favourite ballads of all time. What a stunning track. 'Up in flames' is essential commercial hard rock and all of these tracks are just what was good about hard rock back in 1992/1993. Perfectly played / produced, with great vocals. Awesome CD.

From: 7Sinner Date: April 20, 2006 at 11:09
Love this hard rocker. Fav songs are "trouble" "loves ammunition" and "Hang em high" but there really are no bad or mediocre songs here. If you're into hard rock you must own this cd!!

From: Axe-Machine Date: April 22, 2006 at 11:31
If Danger Danger, Firehouse and Valentine had been trapped in a room together and decided to write an album, it might have sounded something like this. Recorded in 1994, this is hair metal done so well that had it been released in 1987 it may well have seen some serious sales figures. As it goes, it didn't get released until 2002, so that a handful of us could enjoy 'No For An Answer' (Ballsy Valentine), Trouble (Danger Dangerish) and Higher Ground (Pure Firehouse). High quality album. 8/10.

From: BIG-TIME Date: December 15, 2006 at 11:44
WOW I love this ALBUM Track 1 is a killer!!! but the best thing I love is the extra track at the end of the 11th song about 6 mins and 30sec called Eat Your Heart out...KEEP ROCKIN ALL!!!

From: z4roxx Date: May 8, 2007 at 3:56
The most ridiculous thing here it's inside the booklet:"This album was originally recorded in 1993/4 but never released due to the Grunge scene".Ahahah what's happened in those years???Music was in crysis durin'that period(I remember well expecially on Death Metal scene)but passion must be over every interestin'.This phrase sounds like a bad prejudice and a wrong way of thinkin'.BTW it's an excellent released, complete and various in music, they touch many styles."Fire"is a mega-killer song!!!

From: lemas156 Date: June 19, 2007 at 14:43
I saw this band in 1989 in Fremont, CA when they were called Young Gun. I still own the demo, which contains a few different versions of the songs on this release. Quite impressed with the live show at the time! I have to agree with Shoemaker. There are a few GREAT songs and the rest are decent. Ironically, they had several great live tunes that never saw the light of day on any release.

From: lemas156 Date: June 19, 2007 at 14:45
I should also add that there is some serious top notch production on this cd. 'No For An Answer' is one of the best melodic rock songs I've ever heard! The chorus is fantastic!!!

From: rick kerch vzla Date: April 12, 2010 at 17:39
Sometimes we wonder how a band with all the potential to be huge (musically and visually talking)never makes it in the business...probably a lack of interest from the Record Labels to promote bands the right way or the country of origin (Canada has mega bands such as Rush and Triumph just 2 name 2)..being a Hard Rock act sometimes could be a difficult task in some places specially when the grunge thing is around (1993 was the year when grunge was entering the charts as quickly as drinking a cup of coffe!)..anyway to be right on the point..this album is a killer one!!!...basically all the songs are awesome ones..faves ones are 1,4,7 and 10..these are mind blowing numbers!.."Eternal Flame"(just a beautiful ballad)..there's a hiden track "Eat Your Heart Out" (awesome too!)..the rest of the songs are also highly recommendeable aswell...i'm not gonna say that the band "sounded like" coz of course you can hear similarities with bands but Fury had the capacity to be original too.Buy!.100/100

Really good cd! I'd put them in the same league(style wise) as Tyketto & House Of Lords. I don't take no, Higher ground, the ballad Shouldn't I, Fire & 10,000 girls are all great. I recommend!

From: hair metal again Date: June 30, 2018 at 7:30
