their best since Ted left. not up to par with the first two but better

From: Steve Date: June 3, 2001 at 10:35
No the best is Four The Hard Way and this cd has one or two very weak songs.Six Million Dollar Man is one of the WORST songs ever released! Almost as good as Four....but not quite there.

From: Marco from TS Date: June 9, 2001 at 18:09
Steve West and Bruno Ravel show us that the music they play are not a fashion but something from the heart, now we can call them alternative or whatever, but I know that I love this cd and I listen to it over and over,'I do' is simply fantastic, the production, the Timmons'work, the music skill is perfect. Buy it and listen, you'll hear love and passion in every beat.

From: JOYLove Date: July 19, 2001 at 12:42
I love the band very very much, but I still want the old-line up back. Steve West and Bruno Ravel totally rock. Keep up the great work. Can't wait for CockRoach!!!!!!

From: T-BONE Date: August 10, 2001 at 15:08
Great vocals and music, but D2 needs to get back to that Danger Danger and Screw It! sound. Andy Timmins back full time would be a big boost also

From: Poser Rocker Date: August 22, 2001 at 1:31
Just another crap album from the ex-better glam band of all times.

From: chris Date: October 11, 2001 at 19:11
huge improvement over Dawn. i miss Ted, but I'm glad the guys are still putting out classic stuff! How 'bout Dead Drunk and Wasted!

From: Motley Date: October 29, 2001 at 11:53
a typical exsample of how bad glam bands sounds in late 90's and 2000. Only Bonfire and Shakra continues in the old style. This cd is boneless and sounds as horrible as Crush with Bon Jovi. D2's first cd's is classic!!!!! Plaese put your lipstick on again!!!!!!!!!!!!!

From: D2 Fan Date: November 8, 2001 at 20:30
Hey, the long rumored Cockroach is finally out! It's awesome! One disc with the great Ted Poley, one with Paul Laine, so you're covered no matter who you prefer. Only currently available thru D2 website, but highly recommended!

From: wildtantrum Date: December 8, 2001 at 14:29
One of the best Rock bands of all time. Even with the lineup changes. This CD ranks right their wth the first. Paul Lang really shines.

From: Nuno Bach Date: February 7, 2002 at 22:02
'When She's Good She's Good' it's really the best Danger Danger song. It's worth the whole album.Fuckin' great.Six Million Dollar Man is pretty good too.N' Paul Laine is a long way better than Ted Poley.Paul really got a great voice like Oni Logan 'n other great singers.I don't miss Ted at all.Paul Laine make the record worthwile.

From: Steve T Date: February 26, 2002 at 14:50
I echo everything Steve said....even down to the Six Million Dollar Man quote.(That song is abysmal and the band should be ashamed). Almost as good as Four....but not quite there.

From: Shapshankly Date: April 20, 2002 at 5:32
Almost as good as the first, great to drive to. Excellent musicianship and i think that Paul Laine is excellent on the vocals. Definately worth seeking out and adding to the collection.

From: Tony Date: April 23, 2002 at 11:00
Great cd but worth every penny just for 'Cherry Cherry' alone!!! Sounds like a 70's pop-rock song to me and just has a great window's down drivin in the summer vibe to it. Sounds like Shaun Cassidy fronting the band Angel to me and that's a COMPLIMENT!!! Loved Ted but Paul is just an outstanding singer too. You can't go wrong with either one.

From: Federico Date: April 23, 2002 at 20:13
Not bad, but for me not as good as Four the hard way. Tere are some fillers I don't like the sixth and the third song. My favorite is still Screw it.

From: RichieRocker Date: June 17, 2002 at 21:52
I like this album a lot of rockin songs. Pauls voice is great, I like his voice but I also like Ted's just the same. Check out 'Grind', 'Cherry,Cherry' and Walk it like ya talk it, and 'Get in the Ring' I was very impressed.

From: James Date: June 27, 2002 at 19:33
Funny thing is, the best song (cherry cherry)is a song with Bruno on lead vocals. Maybe he should do more vocal work. I would really like to hear that

I hear Bruno is trying to boot Paul out of the band! Is this true? and if he is why? Does anybody have information on this predicament.

From: tonikki Date: August 20, 2002 at 14:30
an excellent album.6 masterpieces and 5 correct songs.

From: nitrodoll Date: August 20, 2002 at 14:33

From: RichieRocker Date: September 14, 2002 at 20:26
Grind, Cherry Cherry, Walk it like ya talk it, and Get in the Ring. These songs kick ass and it shows they can rock without Ted. I miss Ted. But Paul Laine held his own with this album. People check this one out, I was pretty impressed with it and I think you guys will be too.

From: Michael Date: October 13, 2002 at 7:28
Pure Shit...I don't like this work...Much prefer the first one!!!

From: argentino AOR Date: April 10, 2003 at 17:28
Nuevamente GRACIAS DANGER DANGER!!!

From: robert Date: June 27, 2003 at 10:05

i need this album !!

From: The cat Date: January 19, 2004 at 10:13
Im french and i don't understand completly the lyrics but i know d2 since 1991 (screw it !) and it's a very good album, a classic too but i think that Paul Laine sing better than ted polley (six million dollar man is a great song) Why this band is not on the top on the billboard , same kestion for motley crue, slaughter enuf z nuff and the other great band ?

From: Rycheage Date: January 28, 2004 at 17:28
An instant classic. The songs are much tighter than previously and Paul never sounded better. 'Grind' is a moody rocker that does just that...rocks and 'Dead Dog' is a very heavy melodic rocker. 'I Do' has an awesome intro and Bruno sounds great in the lead on 'Cherry Cherry'. A 10/10.

F**KN BRILLIANT!! ANYONE THAT DISLIKES THIS CD HAS BRAIN DAMAGE!! STEVE WEST & BRUNO RAVEL I TAKE MY HAT OFF 2 U!!

From: Josh Date: May 18, 2004 at 8:03
If you guys think this album is bad because it 'doesn't sound like the first 2 DD albums' then you're crazy, because albums like Screw It are rubbish compared to this one, and Paul Laine is a much more polished and less girly singer than Ted.

From: Rycheage Date: May 22, 2004 at 20:43
To me, this album only proves what I have always known, that these talented guys are one of the best melodic heavy/hard rock bands out there. Besides the lyrics, they sound more mature and serious, more daring, bringing new elements, sounds and emotions to their songs. The production is very good, tight and with depth, which only enriches the final overall impression. If you like hard rock heavy with soul and energy, this CD should most likely be just what you are looking for! A must!

From: Big Papa K Date: June 26, 2004 at 1:10
Another release by the Paul Laine era version that is excellent. Once again, one problem is that there are a couple 'Cockroach' tracks, but this time the originals are the best tracks. Tracks such as 'Dead, Drunk, and Wasted' and 'Grind' are among the bands best. 8/10

From: TIM (2) Date: June 28, 2004 at 10:45
'When She's Good She's Good' just seemed so out of place on here, would've found a better home on 'Screw It'. The rest is standard hard-rock which can be found on a hundred million such albums from the 80/90's. I know bands have to change/evolve etc, but to have found a winning formula early on and not stuck to it is disappointing. 2/10.

From: Chad Date: June 28, 2004 at 23:40
I am not sure if Tim really understands how good this album is. It came out when rock was not doing well and for the band to churn out this kind of great rock, they have to be commended. It is a driving record with big hooks and very good vocals. The songs are solid. I would agree with Big Papa K and give it a 8/10. Keep rock alive! I sure hope the new album with Poley holds a candle to this one.

From: Vini Date: July 20, 2004 at 20:53
Is a Wonderful album, like all. Andy if you back, was the best band all the time.

From: Marla (MJ) Date: September 14, 2004 at 1:13
WOW...listening to this tonight after a lonnnnng time... This is SO GREAT!!!! Sure, there are a few (to me) fillers. I don't care for 'Six Million Dollar Man', and 'She's Gone' is kinda lame....but OMG...'Grind', 'Walk It Like Ya Talk It', 'When She's Good.....' but......my favorite song.....'GET IN THE RING'!!! LOVE Paul Laine!!! Not to take ANYTHING away from Ted Poley....I LOVE him too...but Paul just kicks ass on this one!!!

From: Geoff Date: September 14, 2004 at 2:17
Excellent melodic hard rock release from one of my favourite bands of all. Check out the montrous 'Grind' and it's killer riff,'When She's Good She's Good' is an awesome track and an old fave,'She's Gone' is a lovely ballad,'Dead Drunk and Wasted' is brilliant commercial hard rock,'Dead Dog' is heavy brilliance,'I Do' is my fave - a spine chiller and melodic gem,'Cherry Cherry' and 'Get In the Ring' are good and 'Walk It Like Ya Talk It' is not as good as the original, but good. Killer CD!

From: TIM (2) Date: November 1, 2004 at 3:26
Have really tried to get into this one but it's never happened. "When She's Good..." is a better version than on "Cockroach" but sounds out of place on here, and "Dead Drunk..." is a decent hard rock tune. The rest just leaves me cold. I still love Laine's voice, but when you have one of the best singers in the genre why would you distort his voice ("Six Million Dollar Man")? I'm in the minority here clearly, but IMO this is lifeless hard rock. 2/10.

From: Aussie Dave Date: March 23, 2005 at 17:06
A shocking name for an album, even if it does mean something to the band! But the music stacks up just nice! continuing on from the last great album, Danger Danger keep up the very melodic rock, but harden the sound just a little, which suits Paul Laine's voice just nice! Good mixture of heavy - Dead Dog, Grind and Dead Drunk and Wasted. with slices of melodic rock - Cherry Cherry, I Do and When She's Good She's Good. A very solid release, Bruno and Steve continue to write great stuff!! 9/10....

From: Metalmusicman Date: December 11, 2006 at 13:37
I am a huge fan of this band both with Poley and with Laine, but I found this one to be just a little hit and miss for me. While still better than most of what is out there, this is not my favourite of theirs. Still with standout tracks like the killer opener "Grind" and the ultra melodic "When She's Good She's Good...And When She's Bad She's Better" this is really good stuff. If you like this band, you will find elements here you will enjoy.

From: metalmaniac777 Date: March 21, 2007 at 20:27
A moronic album title that should've been scratched the second some band member suggested it, but behind the dumb title is a great hard rock CD. It would pretty much be perfect if not for "Six Million Dollar Man," which is as out of place as a hard-on in a convent. But it's forgiveable (the song, not the hard-on) because D2 also gave us "I Do," a song that easily ranks among their all-time best. Take the abysmal misfire of "Dawn" out of the equation and this band's discography is simply stellar.

From: metalmastermusic Date: April 22, 2007 at 0:22
Enough about thr Ted vs Paul. Ted was good when he was with DD but he absolutely forgot how to rock after he left DD. I have all of DD and albums and Paul and Ted's (Andy Timmons as well) solo stuff as well. Paul was decent before but better with DD. 4 the HArd Way is there best album to date followed by Screw It and then this album. All are must have's for any serious rocker. Is still crack up when hearing the Yeah You want It rap on Screw It !! some funny stuff, shows they have a humorous side.

From: juan carlos Date: May 3, 2007 at 10:40

From: WookieEnthal Date: July 10, 2009 at 1:56
Once again, on the modern side but D2 is in there somewhere!

From: poser forever Date: July 11, 2009 at 7:22
Simply one of the greatest hard rock albums of the last decade.''When She's good...'' is simply phenomenal and ''She's Gone'' so emotional. Name me a band who can play real melodic hard rock nowdays. All these new bands (HEAT,Brother Firetrbe,Eclipse etc) are so funny and small compared to Danger Danger and to the other late 80S bands we adore. Bruno ravel is a true rock legend who never got the credits he deserves. DANGRER DANGER rock!!

From: halfordhughes Date: August 5, 2011 at 4:54
their best

From: MelodicRocker Date: June 18, 2016 at 17:08
Timmons plays on Walk it and When she's good, from Cockroach sessions. The rest is once more Tony "Bruno" Rey, another amazing guitarist. I liked Ted's pretty boy/girly vox on debut and Screw it, but Paul is the man. Manly powerful vocals (that Ted would never be able to sing). I am glad the album of the year 2016 might be The Defiants, Ravel+Laine wrote together and it sounds awesome. Paul's still got nearly full range, one of melodic rock's favourite singers without a doubt. Gildersleeves is also a great album. I'm impressed with Ravel's production too.

From: edwithmj Date: July 5, 2016 at 13:28
Hit and miss this one. Grind is good modernish hard rocker with a superfluous opening that sounds like industrial machinery, When She's Good... is almost identical to the version on Cockroach, Six Million Dollar Man doesn't do anything for me and is definitely a lowlight, She's Gone is an OK ballad but again, it does nothing for me. My favourite is Dead Drunk & Wasted which is a nice party rock song. Dead Dog, I Do and My Secret are all pretty forgettable I'm afraid while Cherry Cherry sounds too modern again. Get in the Ring is another modernish hard rocker while Walk It is more or less the same version on Cockroach. Paul Laine is a good singer, definitely, but his vocals do nothing for me on this album. If you're expecting this to sound like the Ted Poley Danger Danger, you'll be disappointed, if you're expecting something that sounds a little 80s, you'll be disappointed but if you like Paul Laine's voice and modernish-sounding hard rock, get it.

From: hair metal again Date: September 23, 2016 at 10:17
excellent release for the legendary DANGER DANGER ,a band that always delivers cause Bruno &Steve as they admit listened to great hard rockin bands when they were young and that shows in their music!not the typical early 90 s sound ,a bit more updated ,but aleays commercial hard rock music!as always monsterous songs like "she s gone",'grind","when she s good she s good" and "i do "!essential
