If you notice that a particular Damn Yankees CD release or compilation is missing from the list above, please submit that CD using the CD submission page. The ultimate goal is to make the discographies here at Heavy Harmonies as complete as possible. Even if it is an obscure greatest-hits or live compilation CD, we want to add it to the site. if you don't have either of their cd this is a good place to start. It has great songs. These guys were awesome live. Wish they would put out one more kickin' cd out.

From: AOR freaky Date: June 2, 2004 at 3:31
Personally I don't see the point why this has to be released. The guys only released two albums ! O.K., it's great stuff, but then a compilation ? ! Joking ! Let's hear that third record, somewhere hidden !

From: James Date: June 4, 2004 at 22:16
I believe that if the guys in the band are so unhappy with the unreleased 3rd cd it should remain unreleased. Remember what happened with the unreleased KISS - Carnival Of Souls? It hit the light of day and was shunned, riduculed and down-right hated. It should have stayed hidden away as well as should the D-Y album if they guys think it is sup-par. If they do release it, then it will be hated and despised

The Essentials?... What the fuck? You could go out and buy the first two albums used for less money than buying this album. And James, what the hell do you know, anyway? "The D-Y album should stay hidden away." You have no clue what the album is like and yer speaking for the rest of us, telling us that we wouldn't like it? Bite me! You're "hated and despised" so go away.

From: James Date: June 5, 2004 at 20:23
True Jason, I have not heard the album but all i need to hear is the way the guys in the band talk about it. If the guys in the band say it is crap and will never see the light of day then that is their decision. I still say if it comes out the rock community will be all about the album not being like their fist two and that it "wimped" out and sold out to the times and fad's of then it was made. It will appeal to some of the Shaw-Blades fans. A few songs have poped up on Jack's and Styx album

From: JAMES Date: June 5, 2004 at 20:28
on Jack's solo album and the last Styx album. The songs were not bad and the interview i read with the guys about the lost D-Y album was the production. The producer took all the high's out of the music and totaly changed the sound and feel of the band. The rock fans are a very fickle bunch. if you change too much they just put down an album for changing. Bon Jovi's a prime example of how if you change your sound some of the fans just dump on the band now. let the cd come out, i'm for it.

Agree with Jason, avoid this and get the 2 CDs off eBay for about £5 each. This is such a rip-off. A terrible cover, and 2 of the first 3 tracks being ballads. Did they spend any time/money/effort making this whatsoever?

Coincido totalmente, para con sus solo 2 albums a cuestas tener un Essestial? pues no va, de lejos comprate sus dos discos. 8/10
