This was a good cd, but I liked the first one better. All the songs are really good and I highly recommend this CE, but the first was stronger than this one.

From: Baris Date: September 12, 2002 at 1:40
yes, this album is also OK. but not so impressing as the first.

From: RichieRocker Date: September 13, 2002 at 9:24
'Don't Tread On Me' And '15 Minutes of Fame' are my favorite tracks on this album. The other songs were mediocre, but still a solid album.

From: 9 CHAMPIONS A 1 Date: September 28, 2002 at 17:23

From: James Date: October 20, 2002 at 10:13
anyone know anything about the third album? I heard it was shelved and will never see the light of day because the guys hated it so much. This cd is ok, first one is better. Did anyone imagine Tommy and Jack would sound so awesome together? perfect pairing of vocalist.

From: robert Date: November 1, 2002 at 15:26

From: SLY Date: January 15, 2003 at 3:30
Good Very Good Indeed..Period.

From: Emilio Date: March 21, 2003 at 7:07

From: pablo Date: September 6, 2003 at 8:15

From: aormilwaukee Date: October 31, 2003 at 11:14
Pillar este c.d si aun no lo teneis. a must have guys!!

From: tomcat Date: October 31, 2003 at 14:21
was the openingssong not a theme for the olympic games or something?Anyhow, this is a great rock n roll cd made by some unbelievable talented persons, and although i'm a vegetarian , i luv ted nugent..

From: Kryiis Karl Date: January 9, 2004 at 17:24
Tomcat, Ted Nugent surely is an American clich'... Can you imagine this guy being vegetarian ? Naaaahhhh. Not that to be vegetarian is a bad thing but that just would not fit... Actually, at the time, I only bought the first DY 'cause I was a big fan of Ted 'great white buffalo' Nugent. Not disapointed by any of the 2 CD's. Singing is a bit too much high in the notes but it works but a bite irritating at times. Without Ted's contribution DY would be less interresting. He is really one of the bes

From: Fat Freddy Date: January 9, 2004 at 18:19
Great CD, saw DY on this tour in NYC and it was a killer show. It was weird to see a bunch of reps from Ted's bow hunting organization handing out pamphlets & catalogs outside the venue, dressed like rednecks in the middle of Manhattan tho! I always hated this album cover though... I flipped the booklet around so that the group shot from the back of the cover is facing front, 'cos that dude in the pickup is UGLY!

From: James Date: January 9, 2004 at 19:44
did you know Tommy Shaw is a vegetarian? can you imagine the dynamic in the group with that added in?????

From: cramp Date: January 12, 2004 at 17:11

From: Impaler Date: May 26, 2004 at 1:20
Very good album but didn't capture the magic of the first one, but hell, you can pick it up cheap so it is highly recommended!

From: Big Papa K Date: June 13, 2004 at 0:07
A little weaker than the debut. The rockers are heavier this time but not as catchy. But those ballads sure deliver the goods. 6/10

From: Desslar Date: June 13, 2004 at 21:47
Not quite as good as the debut, but still very high quality hard rock. I remember Don't Tread on Me being used as one of the theme songs for the 92 Barcelona Olympics.

From: Joan Date: July 26, 2004 at 18:46

From: Rock On!! Date: October 29, 2004 at 23:12
Not as impressive as their debut, but still good. fav tracks are 'Don't tread','Someone to believe' & 'This Side Of Hell'. i don't like 'Double Coyote' at all...probably their worst song. 7/10

From: Geoff Date: March 2, 2005 at 6:02
Pretty much a remake of the debut, except even worse, IMO. They re-recorded 'High enough' with a different name, and the new version called 'Where you goin' now' is just as good as the original - great ballad, but it's the newcomer, 'Silence is broken' that steals the show here. Awesome melodic ballad and a highlight for me. The rest, IMO, is jut average hard rock. A little heavier than the debut too... slightly.

From: StarCity Rocker Date: March 9, 2005 at 7:32
I disagree w/ Geoff. Even though this one was not necessarily better than the S/T, I thought it was more consistent. The killer riffs return, the smooth vocals are back, and the songs are just as well-written, catchy, and hook-filled as on the S/T. Once again, these guys did their own thing and it works nicely. Highlights abound here but I do recall 'Dirty Dog,' 'This Side of Hell,' 'Silence Is Broken,' and 'Uprising' as being very worthy of mention and repeated listens.

From: Aussie Dave Date: March 23, 2005 at 15:47
Have to agree with most of the comments here! This is a very solid release, but just not quite as good as their debut! A couple of filler tracks here, where the first album IMO had none! But there are some great moments on here, like, Don't Tread On Me, Mister Please, Dirty Dog and the awesome ballads Where You Goin Now and Silence Is Broken! And the last track Uprising ends the album at a cracking pace just like the debut did with Piledriver! A good solid album from this supergroup!! 8.5/10...

From: cort Date: April 9, 2005 at 14:49
For me this one was a total letdown from the first!!!I'm sorry it just did'nt have good rhythym. The best i'd say are tracks#1,#3(to much like high enough, though)and the hidden gem is track #6!When it all comes down to it though I would not recommend it!Sorry Yanks!

From: headbanger4life Date: January 19, 2006 at 4:19
I have the Japanese version of this album with 2 bonus tracks. On of them being the awesome song 'Bone Stripper' (came from the movie Nothing But Trouble). This is another great release by these All-Star rockers.

From: ProphetSword Date: February 28, 2006 at 11:38
I must be the only person who thinks this album is better than the first one. Not that I don't love the first one, I just find this one sounds better, has more variety in song style, and has stood the test of time better. Sure, the first one had more hits...but that's not what always makes a great CD for me.

From: Metalmusicman Date: January 7, 2007 at 15:34
I might be the only one here who thinks this album is every bit as good as the first one. It's not any better or any worse, it's pretty much the same. It has some real standout racks and some lackluster gap bridgers. 'Don't Tread On Me', 'Where You Going Now', 'Mister Please', and 'Someone To Believe' are all excellent songs, but it is the just stunning 'Silence Is Broken' that is the show stopper here. If you like the debut, you will enjoy this one every bit as much. Another recomended buy.

From: metalmaniac777 Date: March 14, 2007 at 13:24
A pretty darn decent follow-up to an excellent debut, but aside from a few songs (mainly the big hit ballads) it's just not quite as good as the first album. Nugent's guitar work is still fantastic but overall the songs lacked the instant hooks found on the debut. Don't get me wrong, this is still a fine slab of well-produced hard rock, but the songwriting dipped a bit downward between this CD and the first one. No, it's not perfect, but 'Don't Tread' should not be on your 'don't buy' list.

From: Rycheage Date: July 27, 2007 at 20:19
Decent follow-up to an incredible debut. Many forgettable tunes on this one but just a couple of un-forgettable ones. 'Where You Going Now', and 'The Silence Is Broken' stand out to me but IMO this doesn't really stand the test of time.

From: rockhardrock Date: May 28, 2009 at 17:06
i think the grunge was the reason why they didn't continue with their work, which is very sad.they showed that it's not only the look and the youth that counts to be popular. this record is a bit heavier on some moments than their debut, but still very enjoyable. my favs: Don't Tread On Me, Fifteen Minutes of Fame, Where You Goin' Now, Mister Please and Silence is Broken

From: Doghouse Reilly Date: May 17, 2013 at 13:18
All the ingredients that made the first album so enjoyable are still here, but for some reason, the songs themselves just don't seem as strong, even if some are a little heavier in places (but not much). I really like Ted's solo on the title track, which got a lot of AOR airplay in the summer of '92, and the band still managed a top-20 hit with the ballad "Where You Goin' Now" a few months later. Other good tracks are "Mister Please," "Uprising," "Dirty Dog" and "This Side Of Hell."

From: 123charpenay Date: May 22, 2013 at 12:19
exactly like their first album,a super class hard u s record with two fillers (track 5 and 7),some extraordinary, emotional and mighty ballads and some fantastic hard rock songs (with little touches of rock n roll and southern rock).if their first effort is at your taste don t miss their second realise.an american classic hard rock record.

From: rick kerch vzla Date: November 25, 2013 at 15:22
This album had a couple of mega hits in the shape of "Don't Tread On Me" and the killer solid softy "Where You Goin' Now" both of huge radio airing back then.Apart from that there are some other fine moments in "Dirty Dog","Silence Is Broken","Firefly"(rocks!),"Someone To Believe" & "Uprising"...shamely this was the last studio album recorded by the band, nobody knows exactly what made the band to fall apart but at least they left a couple of albums that really rocked out .88/100
